Haters gonna hate
It would probably be 4-way splitscreen, which just sounds like a horrible idea if you ask me. I think it's best left online only coop just because how the game is designed.

And as PJ said, we have been playing CVHD since it came out on XBLA and are still grinding sub-weapons and stages to get good drops. It would take more than 6 months for newcomers to be ready for the marathon unless you did new game.
Balls jerky
Oracle of Ages showed up the mail today! I better start playing it now and not stop for 6 months if I want to get on Tigger's level. Hopefully I win this auction for the Hori pad because the normal GC dpad is a waste of space on the controller. I'll be more serious with this once I know it's for sure on the schedule. So far I've only found a half finished segmented wip on ZSR and haven't finished going through the 26 pages of the TAS thread so I don't even have route references yet.

Unless someone well versed in OoA wants to step in? Who has even volunteered to attempt to be part of this Seasons vs Ages thing?

Pootrain I would race you THPS3!
I think that would be an interesting little block: you do 1, I do 2, then we race 3.
It's on like Yonkey Dong!

okay, a quick copypaste from the wrong thread >_<

Assuming I can make the marathon and play RE4 (which MIGHT just be possible), I have some donation/prize ideas.

- Donate for a costume (since I'm playing on GameCube, purchasing the Tactical Vest means that the HP/defense upgrade from Special 1 is a non-issue), between Normal and Special 1.  Special 2 is not on GameCube.
- Donate for some crazier tricks (skipping Salazar in 4-4, skipping part of the laser room in 5-3).  I don't think there'd be much room for, say, making Ashley do a suplex (it takes a crazy amount of time to set up, and the enemies are really slow in that chapter).
- During the 4-3 minecart sequence, I like to play music, so to speak, with the Chicago Typewriter.  One could donate for which song you want to hear "played" during that chapter.
- Donating whether to skip the Dos Gigantes fight in 4-2 (which is funnier) or fight them (which is faster)

These are just ideas, though.  Any suggestions?

(Unlike Carc, I actually enjoy this game and I've had this particular copy for four years, so NO DISC SNAPPING)

NO DISC SNAPPING

You may be able to speak for yourself, but can you speak for Carc?
aka theenglishman
Maybe not, but there's two discs and they're small.  Even I WANTED to snap them, it wouldn't be as easy as last year.
.
Pft. Carc tried to suplex with Ashley when I donated for it, why can't you?

It just takes a while is all.  I'll do it if you donate Smiley

I'm just trying to think of the best place to try and do it without losing much time.

Maybe a few of us learn parts of FF7 really hardcore and have a relay run?

I'd like to see reaction to the summer games before I throw my hat into the ring with any repeats of my games already (Demon's Crest and Guardian Legend), but if nothing else my background race offer still stands, i.e. 7th Saga vs a block or two/all the graveyard/poverty games/FF7/etc.

The bolded part, yes! I asked about this during the last AGDQ! :O
1-Up!
If Oracle of Ages / Seasons are comparable time-wise (idk if they are), having them played during the same slot would easily be a marathon highlight for me. I'm sure others would feel the same.
TIOLET!
I realize this is incredibly very much too late, but I think some sort of Alien Swarm co-op run would be appropriate for AGDQ. It's awesome, it's short, "everyone" has played it since it's a free game. Would make a good substitute game if something has to be dropped for reasons unknown.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Kibbo, that is definitely a great idea. I guess I'll put it on reserve or something.

Flip: I think Ages is about a half hour longer.

I seriously need to grow up and stuff so I can come to this and do Minish Cap...  Either that or teach someone the game...  Hmm....

Shame it didn't make the cut this year, but I'm glad to see the Oracles get some representation.  Must say I'm looking forward to both of those, whichever gets played.
Mike I noticed you put Duke Nukem on the games list. The time estimate for the Duke is 10 minutes. It's really short, although I don't know how long the switch to PC stream would take in order to include setup time.

That'd be true if I said it sounds like THE cheat code.  I said it sounds like "a" cheat code, though.
