Got a new WR yesterday with new strats and glitches. Due to the rust and technical issues (screen passed out several times) there are some mistakes in it but I am going to improve it soon:

I know I said I was initially a little cautious about taking part in AGDQ due to skill in comparison. But I've spoke with Dime, and I'm feeling a lot more confident. I feel this PB is pretty good, considering I stuck to a lot of safe strats and I'm starting to average sub-30 now for runs.

I'm not asking to change the schedule to a 3 player race because I finally grew a pair. But if a 3 player race is still something people want and it's still possible, I will be available and ready at AGDQ to run it. December will be spent entirely on Doom mainly for the anniversary and to make sure I'm solid enough for this.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

DDSoM: We did some multiplayer Mystara runs on Murph's stream. Our best time was 27 minutes, and that was with patches of lag and our second session of 3-player runs, so the time will only go down.

Yes, we're doing a 4-player run, but Sent doesn't have Xbox Live and the 4th player actually doesn't make a big difference. Anyway, we're going to do a group practice session this weekend so check out my stream then (yes, I'm actually going to stream then!).

Vortale: I don't know if I can pull of a 3-person race, I'm going to go over the room layouts later this week, but I don't know if we could feasibly pull off a 3-person pc race. I think in theory I can because I'll have enough capture cards by the time AGDQ rolls around, but we'll see.

I've gotten a 37:1x like 5 times the past 2 streams and im pretty consistant but umm I need to change the d pad I keep missing air hadouken n stuff so next update I'll make sure to have that number down a lot more

Did 10 runs this past week for IWBTG. All came under the 40:00 estimate. Besides the first run which I think was a 39:xx, they've all come ~35-36 and under with cutscenes included (in case we decide they be played during the event).

My consistancy has gotten a lot better. Pretty much every run was on Sub20 pace until either Larry gave me a terrible cycle or I choked at the end.

I broke my Paper Mario Any% record less than a week ago by nearly 2 minutes (2:28:36 -> 2:26:38, strange number swap) and with that run, the category is now extremely optimized. Although I got bad luck on the 2nd last boss, there were pretty much 0 mistakes throughout the entire run other than very minor movement errors which are to be expected in a 2 1/2 hour run. I'll be more than fine in terms of skill and consistency at AGDQ.

Worthless categories WR master

I got a new WR on minecraft any% and CBenni crafted this wonderful tool to track in-game time with a .05 precision. I also feel much more confident with the run, to the point where I could say the estimate can be lowered from 30:00 (+5) to 25:00 (+5) but I guess I would need raw data to support that. My plan is to make about 30 to 40 "marathon runs" that is, runs with marathon strats and no resets, and see what time I get on average and the worst I get. I will probably start doing that once I feel very comfortable and consistent. Right now I lose runs here and there but 1. I'm not currently going for safe strats and 2. with the extra duplication there's nothing that can really kill runs completely now.

Had about two weeks where I didn't really have time for any Bastion runs, so I did 12 attempts today. Two of those died due to failing the core glitch, but I completed all the others with the following times:

My goal is to be more consistently in the sub-17 range even for no-reset runs, but at the very least the estimate will be no problem at all.

Obscure games ftw

No reset Double Spoiler practice run. Couple of scenes trolled pretty hard (6-2, 9-5 and EX-6 come to mind) but a lot of stuff went really well. Hopefully I can learn a couple other strats though to cut out some inconsistent/relatively slow things near the end.

Resolution is bad because I had the game in 1280x960 windowed and told Fraps to record in half resolution (i.e. 640x480/native) but it recorded in 320x240. Should have tested that before recording a run, but I was borrowing a friends computer for it (mine can't stream or even record this game-there were a couple lag deaths totalling about 45 seconds of time loss, though)

Took a few weeks off from speedrunning/streaming but I'll be doing runs/practice everyday until agdq.

Started with 2 quantum conundrum runs: 52:40 and 51:26 (2-3 minutes slower than my wr). I should have no problem getting this run to be really consistent, even with risky strats. Hoping to add some better strats here soon.

So Butters, Sent, and I binged on some DDSoM practice over the weekend and we managed to average times around 25 minutes, and even got a sub-25!

welcome to the machine

i got sub-19 meat boy. the first hour of streaming tonight was admittedly pretty rough, but everything after that was basically the best, most consistent playing i've ever done. i got four good runs to larry, and all of them were sub-19 pace. if i play at that quality for agdq, i will be ridiculously stoked.

i feel really good right now, and i will continue playing and improving.

Learned the IL strats for 4-7, 5-8, 9-8 and EX-1 in Double Spoiler, got them pretty consistent too. More routing changes should save me at least a minute over my old route, with any luck I can get consistent sub 40s through December!
