Zewing: Yes, if your game is up next you have priority, but the practice room will be really big this year (over 1000 sq ft), so finding a tv to practice on shouldn't be an issue.
Continuing to practice. I'm trying to push my average run time down to around 19:30 before AGDQ. Going to continue doing many attempts to prepare for AGDQ.
Do we know anything about what the PC practice setup will be like? I can theoretically practice on my laptop, but it'd be preferable to practice on an actual desktop machine if possible.
The gaming PC will be separate from the streaming PC so in theory you'll be able to practice on it whenever it's open, and I'm sure there will be other machines around as well.
Ok, my first Lost Levels report: Mario: 45 min., Luigi: 48 min. -- Time estimate was 55 min. I think we should keep the time estimate; however, I do expect my times to decrease as I get used to practicing on stream more and more.
Regularly getting mid to high 11:20s in Journey to Silius now and always seem to have a decent or good first run (between 11:25 and 11:35) whenever I practice. Had an 11:33, 11:28, and 11:32 during some practice runs yesterday.
Finally did another full Galaxy 2 run - 3:22:50. PB by 6:04.
I've done a good amount of experimenting and practice with the first 2.5 worlds by now, and it paid off in this run. The rest of the run held up decently at least. My goal is to do detailed practice of as many other levels as I have time for.
Kendo Rage is still going ok. Bunch of Normal difficulty runs that all finished in the 13:30-14:30 range. Still have to grind on the last couple stages, but the time is consistent at least.
I did some spontaneous practice on IWBTG:Gaiden today - 8 runs total and some individual practice. 7 runs were nowhere near what I'd like to have as a marathon run, but the last one was really solid. I'm not talking about time-wise here - it's going be well under 10 minutes, on average about 6-7 minutes. I'm more talking about it as being a marathon in terms of commentary and showoffs on the side. The game is too short to get good technical commentary going, so I'm aiming for an entertaining run, only explaining some basic things.
I feel pretty confident that I can polish this up until AGDQ for a good viewing experience - if it gets donated in ^^
Edit: @Gerfuggery: Your playlist is pretty amazing btw
tried to do no reset runs but immediately started RTAing again so theres a ton of resets over minor mistakes lol. continued two runs with critical deaths to see how they'd fare, and still came in under 19 minutes so the estimate (25 minutes) is rather lenient, and the risk of dying is a lot less if playing for safety.
was good to reset though since i got a new pb of 16:21 (nico timing method) which is one second off the best nico time. too bad i got nervous and played it safe in the final level which cost me 6 seconds! oh well
