Nice stuff Weegee, this game is getting interesting. Now all we need to do is find more tricks and timesavers like this to get sub 8 and we're golden. Perhaps Ultibed skip may be a thing in the future, who knows.
I find many useless Glitches!
Another example of sick collisions.
This clips you a bit into the wall which allows you to just jump up the roof.
This is unfortunately useless, but it's worth checking and mentioning.
I have way too much free time
Found this a few days ago.
I think this should let you get into the pipe earlier but I don't remember much from that part of the game.

I do have a few more gliches I found but I don't know when I will have time to record them.
I come back to this thread after two weeks and...Ultibed skip? I must legit be dreaming...

So let's think about this. We no longer need to fight Grobot X, which means we can skip Grobot? We just need to grab Ball from Massif Bros and we can just skip everything after that. Absolutely insane. Gotta give props to you Hojo, you along with Fretzi pretty much broke this game to pieces.

Now if we only found a way to Paja early...
(Just dropping in) I found a glitch that lets you go as high as you want when out of bounds, (Spin drill when out of bounds), and I'm wondering, maybe it could be useful for speedrunning? I don't know, I only knew about out of bounds a few days ago... And I had this game since 11 July 2013... I'm probably going to look into this glitch.

Here are 2 pictures (Had to upload it to Miiverse because I don't have my iPod plus I want good quality so yeah)

I have way too much free time
Found something kinda intresting when i was browsing around YouTube. I don't really know if it will have any use but i'll still post it here

EDIT: I forgot to mention why it was intresting. You can use this to push enemies out of the area they normally walk in, this means that there might be more areas where double-jumping with enemies will be useful. You can also puch enemies out of bounds with this.

And about the thing posted just before me. I wasn't really a new find (atleast I knew about it) but it was still good someone finally posted about it.

Okay so there is this video I found that I really want to look into on my 3DS but I don't have my 3DS right nowand I've been waiting so long.

I think this is in the area where the guys are blocking the path to Driftwood Shore, and if you can go out of bounds here we might be able to skip a big portion of Mount Pajamaja.
Although it looks like a hard clip too; you might just end up on the rock right next to it each time thus it could be hard. If anyone can look into this, that'd be great. I wish I had my 3DS still, I really wish I could help looking for glitches right now. I keep checking this thread every week for new glitches but none since May. I really hope this glitch that I linked will let you go out of bounds. Yet another 30-60 minutes skipable. That'd be great.

Edit:
Also, about the route.
Isn't it better to skip the 3D Red Shell and only get them AFTER you finish Dreamy Wakeport where you have to wake up Big... err... the red Hoohoo guy that fell asleep?

You'd be more powerful and the ONLY battle you do in between begin Mushrise Park to end Dreamy Wakeport, the only overworld battles is saving two guys from monsters, and the double-jump trick.

Other than these, there is no required monsters. So after Dreamy Wakeport, you'd be stronger and beat Mushrise Park enemies faster, which might save time. Then, you get the 3D Red Shell. Maybe it'd save more time?

Although, if the video I linked DOES have the out of bounds area, and you can get back to the beginning of Driftwood Shore, then I'm pretty sure it'd be better to get the 3D Red Shell before doing the Early Grobot trick (even though you completely skip him), as it'd waste time to go ahead and activate this "Mushrise Park owner gets stuck in fountain" cutscene, thus you'd have to do something else in order to go to the right. And if you go around the part, you may skip the cutscene the whole time. Sorry if all this is confusing ^^'.

I have way too much free time
I'll definatly look into that area in a few days (or hours) since I really, really want to find something useful in Driftwood shore (the dream right now would be getting to Driftwood early with both bros but that seems impossible at the moment).
EDIT: Also, since I have no idea what the route is, can someone who knows tell me which parts of the game would save the most time if skipped, either via PM's or in this post. That way it will be easier for me to try find skips and stuff like that.
Yeah this topic's been pretty dead the past few months...

But yeah about the current situation in terms of route. First of all, we want 3D Red Shell's asap. If you don't get them, you cannot use Bros. Attacks (and this affects Luiginary attacks too to my knowledge? Not sure...) until you get Slingsniper. We also want all EXP we can get for Beef Cloud.

Our problem with Driftwood Shore isn't actually getting inside, but rather getting OUT. Anwonu found a while ago that you can also give Luigi storage properties, which allows us to get inside Driftwood early. It's also possible to complete Driftwood, but there's no way to get past the Brock guys on your way back.

The only way out is to use the yellow warp pipe (which is there), but there are no other pipes you can warp to, as the trigger for them is after you complete Dreamy Paja. It's basically a loop all the way back and to break it, we'd need to find a way OoB in the room with the Brocks, or a way to activate another pipe. Another problem is that the warp pipes actually save quite a bit of time in terms of travelling (especially because right after Driftwood is the Ultibed quest, and you need to go grab Ball from Pajamaja to get to Somnom :/)

The best skip (below Somnom early) would be to find a way to get to Pajamaja early. It'd allow us to skip Dozing Sands 1 and Wakeport 1 and would also allow us to escape Wakeport after Ultibed skip by using the warp pipe, as leaving it normally causes a softlock, because the guy blocking the entrance is solid.

Now the good news is, that the first room of Paja is really big, so there's a better chance for an OoB spot and there's also the shortcut pipe there, which would be another way in. Bad news is, that so far no one has found a way to either.....

I already knew about getting inside, but thats the thing, the video I linked is located west of where the Brock guys are, its the same room (I recognize the part easily, I just know I'm right from where it is), and you need to get past the Brocks in order to get over there. Thats why I linked the video. If there is an OoB at that exact spot, we may be able to skip Mt. Pajamaja. (or at least the first half, since we need the spin)

And for Somnom early, if we do find that, we'll still have to go to Dreams Deep after Driftwood Shore meaning we'll still have to do Driftwood Shore, unless we find a way to skip Giant Bowser Battle. We need the Luiginary Ball in order to advance in Neo Bowser Castle. I'd say Pajamaja early would be a better skip over Somnom early. Though if we find Pajamaja early and leaving Driftwood Shore works too, what would we do in that case? I mean we have a bunch of options here.

-Would we have to do Dozing Sands so that we can go to Wakeport (we also need Dozing Sands to go to Pi'llo Blimport, Castle & Mt. Pajamaja), thus we can do Early Mt. Pajamaja and then do Early Driftwood?

-We don't do Dozing Sands, but we do the complete early Mount Pajamaja? (Needs an OoB clip where the bridge is located in Pi'illo Blimport/Mushrise Park) Then we do Driftwood Shore but not early Driftwood Shore.

If Dozing Sands is shorter than Mount Pajamaja, we would still have to do Dozing Sands then. Just because we can skip Mount Pajamja and leave Wakeport easily. If we do skip Dozing Sands, we are forced to do the whole Mount Pajamaja because or else we can't leave.

Also, another thing about Somnon early & Pajamaja early.

Pajamaja early skips a lot more, you already have mentioned what we could skip. Somnom would only skip the last quarter of Dreams Deep, we'd only skip 5-10 minutes. So it's not that useful. But it's still skipping parts, soo...

If I had my 3DS I would so be testing stuff out.

Off-topic; does anyone know how to change your username? (I want to change my username but don't want to create a new account ._.)
Ask an sda staff member, that's how I got my name changed.

Ah, thanks for reminding me about those, forgot they were a thing. So yeah Sands is required to get to Paja unless we find an OoB spot in that area somehow.

As for the video, you're mistaken about the location, it's one room west http://i.imgur.com/Rix9Lun.jpg Not sure if clipping there is possible though.

Also, I'd suggest joining the irc channel on irc.speedrunslive.com and channel #dreamteam for easier talking.

Damn it, my memory failed me
Too bad. I'll just look into the room with the brocks and see if there's an OoB, though we'd need to be really lucky to have a second OoB that is useful in a room. But for now I can't and I'll just wait 'till I get/find my 3DS again.
Plus MLDT is in my 3DS...
Hi there. I'm new on this topic and I want to give some help to find some interesting things or OoB. I already pulled a 10 hours run (which is bad) to know the game. But if someone can explain what we're really looking for, that could be a good point thanks Smiley

10 hours isn't that bad. It's still somewhere around the top 5.
Maybe because no one wants to run the game...

There are good reasons for that, despite major skips being found...

Still, that shouldn't discourage you from looking for more stuff to break. If a tutorial skip was found or something (and I mean, like 20 tutorial skips) then that might encourage more people to play this game Wink

Also there is nothing wrong with Dream Team

I wonder if I'm the only one who doesn't care about the overused tuts.

I mean, they don't take long. 5 minutes maximum. The only tutorial I hate in this game is the Dream World battle tutorial...

"Are you sure you want to stand there?"

"Come on come on, choose now."

"So, have you decided? [Yes] [No]"
*accidentally picks no*

"Alright. Now choose where you want to stand."

"Come on, pick."

"Okay, are you SURE you want to stay here? [Yes] [No]"
*Finally picks yes*

All that for a single minute. Gosh I hate that part, I'm not a baby @Brock Monsieur, I know where to stand and I knew it the moment I was born, so shhhh... ,~,

Honestly I don't think that tutorial skips would encourage people to speedrun it lol. I mean, they really don't take that long.
Maybe it's just me...
*Hopes that Neo Bowser Castle and Empty Area room are the same room*

Seriously, if those two rooms are the same room we could maybe literally skip the whole game after the beginning of Dozing Sands lol.
But they probably aren't. Probably.

If you try to access Neo Bowser Castle before Neo Bowser Castle fell down from the sky, you'll be in a pretty empty room that has nothing. It's probably the most useless room in the game, but at least we can access Neo Bowser Castle from here later on.

On a random day, CatlyNat (me) decided to pay Dream Team again. She saw she was in Dozing Sands, doing a glitched Tutorial. Luiginary Ball in Luiginary Tower tutorial? nice. Then she went to Neo Bowser Castle and decided she'll do the skip. She literally gets the skip in less than a second (seriously, I just walk and get the clip. that was insane lol), so she decides to go to Mount Pajamaja and look for an "Early Mount Pajamaja" glitch.

Two minutes in, and she found it.
GUYS, ITS REAL
ITS SUPER REAL

Just walk like that and you might get it. Though this is literally the hardest Out of Bound glitch in the whole game lol. I was just lucky to find it.

Also, unrelated but, which admin should I contact for a username change? I really don't know...
Holy shit dude Shocked I never expected an OoB to be there... I was looking in some random corners, but oh. That's really great. Thanks for that discovering I'll try this tonight.

Pretty much any that's not inactive. Even if they can't do it for some reason, they should be able to redirect your message to someone who can.

I'll try this OoB later.
These kinds of OoB makes me wonder if we can actually clip anywhere if we just keep walking for a long time lol
I have way too much free time
Cool find! I have also found alot of stuff last month or two and some might be useful but most of them aren't, one day I might get around to posting them but I can really do it right now.

I found another thing with this. DON'T waste your time trying to get Luigi out of bounds too. I tried to record a video that showcases Mario getting to the top... and then Luigi got to the top... my reaction to this clip with Luigi tho... I couldn't get Luigi to clip in the way I did with Mario, nor could I redo it with Mario (I had saved when I clipped lol). Sooooo, does that mean there's an update to the route now? I mean I guess so.
So, we get Mario out of bounds and then get Luigi out of bounds in another place. ...Or there's a much easier place to get them out of bounds.

Seriously, this is ***ing awesome. A legit early Mount Pajamaja...
sorry for potato cam Tongue

What do you guys think about a pi'illo castle skip? We just enter the dream world to rescue peach and skip 2 tutorials, a long minigame, and a couple scenes. But, we also skip the BADGES. Would that be useful or is it better to do Pi'illo Castle normaly? Because this:

I haven't found a way to go completely out of bounds yet, but hey it's a good start. I just don't know whether doing it normally would save time or not because badges. But for all who knows we unlock badges when we visit Dozing Sands lol.

Also, Never am I posting a youtube link via ipod ever again... My iPod just refuses to copy the stupid link and omg, I'm SO frustrated

Apple, please fix your iPod before you get a knife in your and your staffs' head. >_<

Edit:
Tbis seems to be the second easiest OoB lol. Also, sorry for double post.
