Found a different button skip strat. Got annoyed at the original skip after losing over 3 minutes, so I found this one.
Also after this video, I discovered that you can skip the jump over animation that happens on boxes by jumping up while walking backwards.
That method definitely looks easier as you're jumping from a higher platform. Does it seem to be more consistent or are they about the same?

Also Mind let me know during my stream yesterday that, in the beginning whenever you open up the plane's sidedoor, a restart checkpoint lets you jump right away saving a little bit of time!
The consistency is about the same, might be easier with more practice, but it took around 2-3 minutes to get it first time. With jumping up backwards, its easier to do the original strategy because it gives an almost perfect position to jump.
fast video games
Just curious has anyone tested to see if strafe jumping/bunny hopping was doable in this game? It seems to exist in like every iD software game and was curious if you could in this one (i havent played the game so i dunno what kind of movement//jump mechanics are in this game)
I've tried several different types of movement but sprinting seems to be the fastest. I've tried slides, bunny hops, strafe jumps, strafe walking, but I don't see any of them being faster
After a jump, there is a delay before you can jump again and it kills all momentum, so I don't see bunny hopping working.
Alright, well after 2 different LiveSplit crashes ruining ok runs I finally have a new PB (1:59:52)

I did pretty well until I choked at the end.

Am i the only person that gets ridiculously weird fps drop in the courtyard of the castle near the beginning of the game?  Where you use the mounted machine gun to take out a bunch of nazis on varying stories of the circular courtyard.

My setup is more than enough to run the game just fine---and this is the only part of the game I'm experiencing a problem with.  No fun trying to work on a run when you get slowed down to like 5 fps for what seems like absolutely no reason.

Anyway...just throwing that out there.  Still gonna work on it anyway.
Duane I've never had any framerate issues in that section or any section so it might just be a singular problem for just your game.

On another note, I found an easier setup for the OOB glitch in Return to London. Instead of having to jump you can just slide along the concrete pillar next to it.

Fergus / Wyatt Robot Manipulation:
This involves you immediately running to the right at the start of the fight and breaking open the BLUE crate to get  2, 3 or 4 grenades. you then need to either stay near the crate until the robot walks towards you or stand next to the pole.

The game seems to prevent the robot from jumping 95% of the time when it is around the base of the pole.

Use of grenades:

You need to use your grenades in a specific way to get the quickest "kill" here, spamming grenades will not work due to the way this boss fight is programmed.
The robot CANNOT!!! be killed the first time it is downed. the first attempt in the Video is an example which proves this to be true. (I also have 6 other videos which prove the same)

What needs to happen is once the robot has been downed the first time it will say "Captain Blaskowics, Kill me, Please" it now needs to begin its raising animation at which point it can be grenaded again.

The timing for the grenades should be as follows : ---> Throw > wait > explosion > throw > run closer > explosion > grab brain.

In the video I do it a few times however the best versions are after around 0:45 which use the correct waiting process.

Turret Mismatch:
Same method as using a ladder, works with most things that cause you to FULLY put away your weapons while using them (some door levers for example DO NOT! do this)
upon switching to the second pair of weapons spam your "use" button as quickly as possible.

Train Clip / "Judge Button":
This is done by running to the side face of the train and jumping onto the small ledge which runs along it, The best position seems to be the white striped box, from here you can simply look towards the blue marker and spam "use" until you reach through and grab the lever.

Not much of a time saver but kinda nice Cheesy

I dunno if this can work or not, however, trying to get onto the rising platform on "a new world" is pretty damn close I think if I jumped instead of vaulted I might have got it however the doorway might get in the way of a jump.

Anybody had problems with game capture via OBS? My game just dies when I try to use gamecapture, and shows nothing when I do window capture.
P.S. Solved

A little something I've been doing which allows us to test certain parts of levels: they are saved in check point order however, some missions which have no intro cutscenes do not have a primary save because if you wanted it you would just start the level normally.

Checkpoint save data:
To use these simply replace the contents of the folder "C:\Users\[Your user name]\Saved Games\MachineGames\Wolfenstein The New Order\base\savegame" with any of the saves in the pack.

Note!!! The checkpoint data will not change unless you paste the data with the game completely closed!!!

This also contains my character profile data which may not be required  however I'm not sure what would happen with mismatched max ammo amounts and checkpoint data.
For example : I'm not sure what would happen if you paste check point data for a character with 4 grenades onto a profile of a character with a max of 3 grenades.

Awesome stuff! <3

Now that SGDQ is over, I have more time to work on this game so prepare to see some progress being done on my end.
Judgy you are awesome. I've been trying to test the "a new world" potential skip and have had to restart the level each time I want to get to it. Thanks dude!
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
Thanks Tongue It's not a complete Checkpoint list due to some checkpoints being pointlessly close for example "A New world" in the gate building you have a check point after the second lockpick door and then another at the top of the stairs (like 3 seconds away) So I didn't include some checkpoints due to them not really being needed.

Derp...
Hey guys,

This is my first post here, I to will be running this game as well haha. I was playing around and found that (after turning off V-Sync) doing the train button skip from these boxs with out sprinting and jumping is much more consistent (IMO).

Some other random stuff.

The mesh fence glitch works by making small vertical ovals and sliding through them (pretty obvious) but it saves a decent amount of battery power haha it works on every mesh fence Ive tried so far, and the Panzerhund mesh fence seems to disappear completely when you make 2 small circles close to the bottom middle of the fence.

And this random useless trick could be useful some where else. I have no idea where though haha, Its funny to do so its allgood haha.

Awesome stuff! :D. I already knew you could fit into small holes by sliding but I didn't know they could be quite so small. That guard awareness thing could be very handy. At least we know that the death trigger in that area is actually the floor.
For the second fence glitch where the whole fence disappears, I figured this out through my play throughs of the game as well. I found it works on all fences in the game, although I haven't been able to find a good technique that is quick and works 100% of the time (I usually would make a small hole near the bottom of the fence and then another hole coming off of it connected to the bottom)... I would be curious if anyone could find a really quick method to melt any fence in the game (if the trick is optimizable I guess you could say)
Derp...
Yea making 2 small holes in the fence to make it disappear is the way Ive been doing it.

This is a random jump on the bridge I found this morning that skips out 2 train carriages, but you also miss out on the under barrel rocket launcher i haven't fully tested it but I'm pretty sure you get it permanently after the level anyway so it doesn't matter.

To do the jump you kind of have to strafe jump its pretty easy once you get used to it.

TehSplatt - yeah this skip has been known for a while, it's just that the route that is used now (especially for the final boss) needs the rocket launcher, and I've never seen it in other levels unless you get it there, so unless there's a way to get the launcher its not really usable.
