Maybe you cant reach the spot because there is a clip...There are tons of clip walls in timeshift, in level 7 there is actually a whole clip ceiling which prevents you to jump over the pipes Angry

Yes there are! but in this case there doesn't seem to be, or at least a small one... i can get on top of where i want to go if i jump from behind, but it would be useless... Ill post screens later although the level is far far away Wink

Ah yea, next one is Disputed Airspace, you might need to use the time powers to kill the jets... but it would be nice to know witch ones attack you and witch don't ...

Here is the one I'm doing now

Now, I am able to get to the little spot if I come from behind, if I jump down you get a bit stuck like there is something there...

I've made many attempts and many yet to come... but maybe it's best to go back to level 9 and see what can be done Wink

I dont know if the barrel helps you to grenade jump, it might just get more difficult Cheesy

I have done level 8 now, the level is as boring as it is long and maybe I could have shot less planes Grin

So, level 9, I haven't explore the entire level yet but this is what I came up with..

From the start its mostly with the quad, you can just rush from the start and get one asap (you already knew that 8))

If you go left, you end up directly on the camp you need where the TNT is, the first bunch of soldier when you go out of the tunnel are no problem... the camp where the TNT is with time slow and luck it can be done and rush to the cabin, stop the quad at the door or use the ones on the back etc etc...

There is a place next to the entrance so you don't have to fall back at all, then in the train i came up with this kind of shortcut that prevents the second wave of enemies from spawn:

I probably jumped out of the train earlier than i should, but the enemies spawn when the train is about to crash and I didn't want to face them however I could have jump after and they wouldn't be a problem...

I had the same idea just with the grenade jump Cheesy

But I will try yours later, it saves health and grenades.
I planned to just rush the tnt camp in slow-mo with the quad, reload the time in the cabin for a short time and drive away Tongue

The level gets me mad because I often hit an edge or something with the quad and the quad flips over instantely Roll Eyes

Good thing my fraps works fine Tongue

(espacially with dual-core)

you will have to excuse the lack of sound on the clips, fraps doesn't want to record sound anymore Wink

well, after the train and the quad stuff you get to some camp, the easiest way i found its just go to the passage and jump inside the camp then stay on the right side and kill everything you see... when going up the tower i thought you had to shoot the exploding truck, but no, there is time enough to get on the quad and leave (use time reverse just in case while on ladder?)

anyway... level 10 Grin

the problem is the first part of the map, I couldn't find any way to skip it... any jump, trick, nothing... so good luck!! Grin

now the second part, after you beat all the enemies (thunderbolt maybe? thats 1 hit/kill) you get to the lift where you have to use time reverse etc etc...

btw for this part I did try to get over the fence few times, no success... I managed o get up here, using a roof truck, But no luck...

After that, there is another very small and simple shortcut, that sometimes can be a pain in the ass... because you get stuck... http://www.vimeo.com/743376

After the level 9 train part, I re-made this one and first I pull the lever, then stop time and get on front of the train (jumping) not on top because it's too hard... the enemies won't shoot you for some reason and you can get out of the train much more easily and taking no damage...

I already found a better way to master the camp in level 9, I just grenade jump over the fence, go up to the tower in slow-mo, recharge my time and go on Grin

all the camps went really smooth, and it's nice you don't need to recharge your timepowers when you get the TNT...

Something about the train, you can jump off much later so you don't have to walk that much... anyway it went really smooth Grin

One thing about fraps... did you have problems recording sound with it?... I can record sounds in other games no problem... but with timeshift it only records sound on cinematics!!! (??!!) not the menus or in game... anyway I'm recording at 800x600 now Grin

Although with the death of Stage6 who cares...

Its harder when you jump off latewr because there is a curve and the momentum pushes you a bit away...

The sound with fraps just works Grin

Maybe a bit too sensitive but in most cases you dont even notice it. Maybe you have some wrong sound settings or something...

I just started hating level 10 already Cheesy

I searched for shortcuts but the clip-walls must be going to the sky or something...

yes it is, even if its not turned on yet, you die if you fall there... the invisible walls on that level are all over the place... so it's impossible to find a shortcut... and you have to turn on that fan anyway so there is a lot to do..

I was thinking, isn't there like an editor or something where we can check them out? I know the game uses havok and some software from saber... I guess there is none Wink

I think the physics engine doesnt help us much when we try to open the maps Cheesy

The Havoc engine doesnt help either if you are mapping for Source.

You have found a great spot there with the sniper rifle, but perhaps you should advance a bit once it starts to get more clear.

In the sewers part, if you use time reverse instead of stop, you could save time powers a bit, using it both on the sewer's door and the falling rocks... It went very well Grin

It did some problems because the soldier stood on the lift before, when he would be resurrected, the time reverse stops and the time runs normally again.
