Really glad to see you post again. I also did not want all your hard work to fizzle away!
Good idea moving Skies of Arcadia to the main reel. The reason I say that is because I am now outright opposed to having a "Coming Soon" portion. I say just mention that all of these runs were 'posted/submitted/completed' sometime in 2010 at the beginning of the video and leave it at that. You should still leave the Sonic montage and all that in, but I just would not set them aside in a special section of the video. Besides, we're in March of 2011 now, so saying "Coming 2011" sounds silly anyway. So, I would move the 'theater intro' to the beginning of the main video (this would save you from having to make a title card, anyway), move Toejam and Earl closer to the Toejam and Earl 2 clip, and then move Skies of Arcadia to wherever you had planned, ending the reel with the Sonic montage.
The only thing you really need to split up in my mind are the Castlevania clips. I think I would show Dawn of Sorrow first because it is REALLY well edited, has great subtitles, and is easily the most eye-catching of the Castlevania clips. The beginning of the main video could use a nice draw like that, after all. Anyway, then just throw in the other clips with like five runs in between them each or whatever.
By the way, I would move the clip from Super Mario Brothers, the original, to the very beginning of the reel to grab the attention of the audience. I just don't think LoZ:MC is the right game with which to lead.
Explanations to add in that may not have already been mentioned:
Star Fox 64 (this is from my own personal knowledge, but I'm pretty sure it's accurate): The glitch used in the clip is called the "sky high trick," according to previous runner Brett Ables (Psonar) who pretty much invented it. You basically back flip in your plane over and over, increasing the maximum height you are allowed to reach. Because of this increased height, the runner was able to attack and kill the incoming Star Wolf team long before the game normally allows.
Dragon Age (this is a quote from the run comments): "... the OOB (out of bounds) glitch discovered by logitechSDAZ. I paused the game and had two characters talk to Leliana. In the first conversation, I ask Leliana to leave the party. She does, but then the second conversation initiates. For some reason, this conversation takes place out of bounds and it is as if you were meeting Leliana for the first time. So she rejoins the party and I get to run freely OOB."
Vectorman 2 (also quoted from the comments - hope I got the right part, but I think I did): "Now for the fun part. Instead of going down into one of the gaps and climbing all the way back up, I'm going to go straight across the top. A couple of things make this tricky, but the most obvious one is the fact that the blocks can destroy each other, so you need to be sure that the block you're using for the jump isn't about to be destroyed before you use it. For the second jump, to be assured of getting across you need to start your jump from at least three blocks high. For the third, you have to stand on the brick two below the one at the top: any higher and you hit the ceiling, any lower and you aren't guaranteed to make the distance. You can make it from three below, but it requires a bit of luck with the random wind gusts. In order to get that high in the first place, though, you need to make a gap of three blocks in the wall so that you can jump out and reach the height you're after. So there's a bit of setup involved, but it still saves 20+ seconds over going into the pit. "
Obviously, you'll want to paraphrase these, but hopefully that saves you from having to come up with something from scratch.
