Battle of Olympus: While practicing I accidentally discovered a new strategy to make one of the last screens in the game 3 secs faster, as well as a back-up strategy for this. I'm feeling pretty confident about the last part of the game. The final boss is completely invisible in this category, but I've managed to learn the easy (still hard) strategy for killing him. Scariest parts are still Laconia (first visit) and the mountain (Phthia), even with lots of practice these two areas can make short work of you.
Shadowgate: Going to learn the new route as well as the glasses glitch tonight on stream with Nisse. All there is to playing this game is really memorizing the route and then menus, menus, and more menus.
Power Blade: Haven't played in a long time, but was still able to pull off a better run than last ESA (if you ignore the fact that I died to the final boss right before I was going to win). I'm feeling confident about this game overall.
Just finished what I'll declare the last practise runs before Skövde. Astérix & Obélix: New PB of … no, sorry, not this time . Just had my marathon run, as in 'why did everything go wrong, why did I have three unintententional deaths, what the heck, that absolutely never ever happened before!!!!111', and my final time was 37:02. I hit a fun little glitch at the final boss, which unfortunately doesn't save time. No problems with the estimate expected. Goof Troop: Brushed off more of the rust. Beat Pete at 31:46. PB is 31:41 (set up in January 2012). Just need to remember, when to suicide, but Edenal said the co-op part will be practised heavily on-site. All pumped up and ready to go! =^__^=
Last night, I practiced the last level I still felt uncertain about (music madness) in DKCR. It isn't up to fastest strat, but I got it reasonable solid now. The momentums in that level are pretty hard anyway. I consider my overall run as finished. I can only add tweaks and more risky strats from now on. So I think I'm ready!
Also I got a bit of a sore arm because of waggling the Wii-mote. I hope its over in a few days. I used the wrong controller and the one I normally use, I'd forgot to bring back home and have it back this Friday.
And another new PB: 26:14 - only 3 sec better than the last one, but I am overall much more pleased with this run. Also, my last 5 runs in a row has been sub 27 now so I feel much more confident about ESA
