So a few days ago I was going through you guys' sub-20 Warpless runs to try and learn more modern routes, and I wanted to ask about some stuff.

I'm really inconsistent at Fale Storage. Pushing him to the edge is fine, but I just press up on the d-pad a bunch of times when I run off the screen, and I miss it about half the time (resulting in the cutscene when I go to the next area). Is there a more consistent method, or is it just practice :P?

The second thing is, jumping and then warping. I see you guys are doing this just before Gaius, I guess to avoid what I'm doing which is dust storming the guy in Cirromon Caverns to get up high. Thing is I can't get it to work at all, if I press jump first I immediately cannot access the save/teleport menu, and if I press up first, I can't jump while in the menu. Pressing them at the same time doesn't seem to work either. Any tips would be highly appreciated Smiley

Fale Storage: you can "buffer" the up button press by kind of holding it as you walk off the edge. You actually want to hold it earlier rather than later to get the trick.

Jump/warp: I'm not sure, but I think this is either frame-perfect or nearly frame-perfect. You want to press up and jump at the exact same time. Just keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it.

Hey guys, I just started speedrunning Dust: An Elysian Tail, and I was wondering, how do you do that mumbo jumbo at the end of any% warps (crawl skip)? I scanned this topic quickly and didn't find any satisfying explanation for it.

You warp to an exit, make a save. At the crawl scene, just load up the glade warp save twice and you should be able to RDS across. Depending on where you made the save you'll either be above or below the platform. A fair warning, if you're below the platform there is 2 flowing lava streams that can screw you over. Also landing on the ledge will put you into crawl state.

Gaius will fight you at ledge Cheesy

I was practicing any% warpless and I got the ultimate weapon upgrade + 7 champ-ong, I killed Gaius very very fast that's insane.

I still want to warm up my warpless skills after grinding warps for a while.
Everyone would be welcome to join the race but I suppose we don't have other active runners at the moment.

EDIT: Hold on... Did you use a new strat where you bought the ultimate weapon in an actual run? o.O

OMG! I was doing a resetless practice run for the race, and accidentally completed the game with 58:08. I was not supposed to do a good run so that's why I didn't even record the damn run. XDD
