You can still map warp. But it takes like 2-3 tries for it to work.
Well, I've only found an old pirate version, I think it can work; it's also legal if you have bought an official version before.
Whisp me on Twitch if you want the link, you also need to have Utorrent to get the file.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vxmvp4ts7f1knvo/DustAET.exe is the steam 1.03 version when it was just patched. Copy it over 1.04 and should be fine. Since this isn't the full game shouldn't be a problem, and not a true crack since it'll still use steam to determine if your copy is real.
Thank you ogam, you saved the warp any% runs! Wink
My Any% Warpless run in 1:03:58 (bad quality):

Grats! Your comment says "probably WR," which as far as I know is accurate. The previous best recorded time I'm aware of was 1:05:35 by Ogam. Looking forward to watching this after work. Smiley
Grats.

You can avoid the guards on the mountain first time you encounter them since they can troll you pretty bad. Just fly over the trigger box after you initiated the first cut scene in that room.
Thank you guys Smiley

Sorowing meadow panorama cut scene skip:

After Avgustin, if you load the auto save at the save point the cut scene as skipped, weird.
Hi, my new run any% 'warpless' [in 59:53] :
Grats on the first sub-hour time!

I want to say that reloading a save to skip the cutscene is okay, because even SDA's single-segment category is leaning towards allowing resets. We can't use the game clock anyway, so treating it like an RTA (with reloads being okay) seems reasonable. Anyone have any strong thoughts about it?
Congratz!
I haven't seen Tony post here in a while, which is a shame because he is tearing this game to shreds. This dude got the first sub-20 minute time on any% warps the other day:

That's an awesome run.
I was looking at attempting to speed run this game and I noticed something about the map warp on 1.04 version. I don't know if it's 100% or not but for me I can still map warp as long as I hold the mouse button down after dragging it to the square I wish to warp to.

Hahahaha. You are completely right, I just tried it and it totally worked. Great find!

Hey, i discovered 2 small time saver.

At the save point press jump + Up at the same time (need good timing) and quickly go to the world map and warp to the flag (mansion on the right), save only 5, 6 seconds.

Don't use the last teleport stone on save point after sorrowing meadow because you will need at the end, save 6 seconds.
Hey guys Smiley always wanted to try speedrunning in general and now started with this as my first game to run.
After ~2.5 Days of getting back into the gameplay (bought it over a half year ago) and adapting to your movement & strategies I completed the game any% 'Warpless' in 1:43:38 - which made me pretty happy for my first timed run.

I really like the game and want to stick to it for a while, get my time down to 1:00:00 - 1:30:00 and all that - tho staying with any% 'Warpless' for now.

I got one little question, since I've been using Tony's 0:59:53 any% 'Warpless' as a model I was wondering how that Double Jump (@40:40) got into it?
Also how did you guys get that UI improvement with enemy health indicators etc - Don't have that but really would like to.

/newbie out
When you go down a floor then press jump, you'll notice wings. It's because when you jump while mid air the game will recognize it as a double jump.
I'm still confused - tried to reproduce and failed.
I know how the doublejump usually works, it's just tony didn't pick it up at all.
Does this mean there is some glitch to use the double jump w/o collecting the powerup?
You have to use down slash then drop in order to get the result, I forgot to mention. So when you do this properly you'll be in the standing state while mid air allowing you to have the visuals of double jump, you can also slide while falling like this also.

Hi, I'm actually trying trying to do the 117% thing, but I can't find 2 hidden areas in 2 places.

Sorrowing Meadow :

Blackmoor Mountains :

If you could help me to have 100% on these 2 places, it'll be perfect, I didn't found anything on internet.
You're missing the last two cages. The one in Prairie de la désolation (English: Sorrowing Meadow) is accessed by kneeling at a particular gravestone for several seconds until you get teleported to the right place. The one in Montagnes de Blackmoor (English: Blackmoor Mountains, as you guessed) is accessed by having the red sphere, and kneeling beside a special mark carved into the mountainside. Just take a look around until you find the stuff that seems out of place, it shouldn't take you too much longer.
So I had an awkwardly nice Tethys fight when I was checking stuff out. Not sure how consistent or if it is faster than going down to setup a quick kill. http://www.twitch.tv/mrogam/c/3493563.

Also messing with jumping before warping, you can do tethys room from OOBs but not sure if it's faster since I can't do the normal way efficiently. http://www.twitch.tv/mrogam/c/3493570

That's one hell of a fast Thetys

EDIT:
btw I was messing around with cutscene skips, getting some weird ones for the Glade & Blackmoore
Anyone able to tell me which cutscenes are really skip-able, so I can be sure?
Currently ones we skip by going back and forth is Mudpot and Battlefield (after moon something village).
Tony noted you can skip sorrowing meadows cutscene by reloading a save.

There are probably other side areas that can be skipped by I don't know which ones.
