Hey look, the first released divinity game (2002)!
I started playing this game again since Kickstarter for Divinity: Original Sin came up.
So classes in this game only has base stat modifiers (STR per Damage Point, CON per Health/Stamia Point, INT per MAGIC point), basic special skill, and starting skills different from one another. Warrior types are able to spin and deal damage to everything around them, Survivors can crouch to hide better? Looks awkward but this is somewhat useful for a glitch.. Mages can swap places with an enemy.
One of the main mechanics of the game is to use Ancient Pyramid which allows you to teleport from one pyramid to another as long as it is either on the floor or one is in your inventory. Though you'd think you can sequence break a lot of stuff by teleporting pass triggers but on occasion you'll softlock the game.. Another nice thing is if an NPC is annoying you, you can kill them straight up even if it's a main storyline NPC then softlock yourself.
There's a few glitches you can do in the game to speed it up for a run.
Such as duplicating items by 2 ways. Save, then grab an item -> Load, when the game has loaded you'll still have the item on your cursor. Another way is for any item with a quantity, drop it with an negative value and you'll underflow the item on the floor along with doubling the amount in your inventory. I believe it uses a unsigned short to hold item quantity values so 0-65535
Another is running faster by using a frog statue which polymorphs yourself to a frog. I think frog is the fastest polymorph, so if you use the Statue -> Crouch -> Use Statue again -> Stand you should be running a crapton faster. Though this only works on Survivors since they have crouch. I haven't done enough messing around for the other two archtypes or any other statues. Alternatively you can chase merchants out of their shops by polymorphing to a spider with the Spider Statue and running at them.
You can go OOBs with the teleporters in some areas but you cannot move afterwards, only to continue throwing the pyramids to get around. So if you want to teleport across a map that you haven't explored yet, you would want to use Wizard's Sight, open your inventory, pan the map somewhere then click on your inventory (if you click anywhere that's not part of the UI then the camera goes back to your character). While the area is shown, pick up a Pyramid and use the skill 'Use Pyramid' or a skill that you can't use directly such as 'Deadly Gift' to bring up a dialog box. Then pick a spot to drop the pyramid before the dialog closes and as long as there is Line of Sight to the dropped point to your character, then it should be tossed over. Similarly when you become the divine one, you get a Summon Eye skill to explore places, with this eye you can at least get an idea of how far you are by opening the Area map, then drop it wherever you want before the eye dies.
There's other glitches that used to be in the game until they were patched out, such as being able to socket limitless amounts of Charms into your gear, but since you don't really need anything but health to get fat for a run this isn't much of an issue. One thing they did do in the latest patch is allow any trap kills (Scorpions mainly) to give experience to the player so you can essentially gain levels to get fat. Though any NPC in the game doesn't update if you're not close enough to them.
