My controller is yours.
*** NOTICE ***
The Windows version of this game is likely defaulted in Japanese. Although English patches are available, they could at the same time jeopardize proper judgment by the SDA staff upon any submission. To ensure a very small risk of immediate rejection by the staff, make sure you are playing the unpatched Japanese version of this game as it is appears to be. It is important that you have Microsoft AppLocale installed and running on your computer in order to open this game! The reason is because Ys6 will silently and instantly crash without AppLocale running before hand. You can obtain a free copy of AppLocale at:

Back again. I haven't seen an Ys 6 thread, but as interesting as the game could be, allow me to open one up with a few things. I been studying this game after I got a nice PC version of it. A number of things have gotten my attention since I started playing this.
Despite that most bosses can be tough to beat especially if Adol's level doesn't seem to be high enough, acquiring EXP is one known factor of this game.
Another factor is to how much Emel that Adol needs in order to strengthen all three of his swords. He starts off with the Wind one but two bosses will allow Adol to journey further with a Flame and a Thunder sword.
And another factor I noticed was that it takes a lot of time for magic of each sword to recharge. For the number of times I inflicted even zero damage on a boss, magic would still rise a little bit quicker! It is important to achieve full magic on each sword to unleash its magic toward bosses and enemies - because they cause even more damage and it is effective. The level that each sword is on will further determine how much damage Adol will be able to inflict. The key here is to try to score hits (even zero-damage hits) to try to save time to build up magic for one sword. On a strategical move, you also may need to build magic off other bosses/enemies so Adol is prepared to battle another boss and won't have to wait so long. I did learn this.
For some segments - I may need to level up, buy enough goods to keep Adol in decent condition, and make sure Adol is strong enough to finish off a boss. As I read through most of the walkthroughs (even one for the PS2 consist of the same thing), it will take some time to plan out what has to be done on each segment should this be considered an average speedrun.
