How did it break? I recently modded the dpad of my xbox360 controller, so if the problem has anything to do with the grey plastic dpad portion (and not the controller PCB itself), I could probably send you mine as I am no longer using it for anything. However, the shipping to Germany would probably be a bit much...
Also, if you want to get another controller for SMB on the cheap, I know that these PS2->USB adapters work great, though shipping from China would probably take a month anyway.
Thanks for the offer tranqu. Its the pcb. Pretty much nothing working anymore :/ I will buy a new one at the start of the next month though so its fine. Using a 360 pad is really comfortable for smb and I don't think I'd wanna change it ^^
Aww, that's too bad, and I agree that they really got their ergonomics right with the xbox360 controller. Now if only the stock dpad wasn't so terrible...
The ones with the newer Dpad are slightly better also because of the fact that you can rotate them and make them flat like an olderschool dpad based on preference.

Those are nice and all, but the D-pads aren't really built for heavy use. When I started running SotN Richter, I had one controller where the D-pad literally broke right off the peg that holds it in, and my new one is close to breaking already...
Updated the PC characters table to add a few times from Takuji. I would definitely recommend to check his Youtube channel, there is some impressive stuff in there
I have problem while recording but if I can eventually fix it, would there people be interested in seeing a single-segment of doing every level in the dark world and in the light world(including cotton alley, the 2 ends, etc.(no warp zone, glitchy world ). I currently practicing them, so if I can master them and find an issue to my recording problem, I'll probably try this.
What Exo said (or u can just double click my video and click the creator of the video :P), and I'm trying to keep my videos coming all the time though its hard to basically keep alive the SMB community almost all by myself :(. Been pretty busy with Stepmania, WoW, Assasssins Creed Revelations, smb on xbox ^_^and others. Though I got about 6-8 clips rdy for my 2nd compilation vid that's most likely coming before next year.
I decide to do a segmented 100% run(segmented between each world)and I want to know do someone know if the glitchy world is random or there a way to make it appear regularly on a short level???
Bandaid girl glitching out is 100% random. Its purely luck based. Also I won't be able to afford a new controller this month since I had to pay some extra university stuff. So no meatboy this month either :/
P.S.:You only practiced for ~a week and already gave up going for single-segment? Cmon atleast do some full game attempts ;P
Yeah I'll probably do it too but since they finally patch the warp zone(because when I was entering warp zone, glitchy zone, etc. My game was quitting for no reason) so now this is fix, I'll practice a segmented 100% run and while practicing this, my all levels single segment will also improved.
So in resume, I'll probably try to do: 1-A SS of all levels excluding warp zone. 2-A segmented 100% run. 3-Some IL.
Like recording on a mac this game is still a pain even after the update, I'll practice on it and I'll probably record on a non-consentant alcoholic hobo computer or a friends it'll depend.
The game's definition of 100% doesn't include glitch zones anyway. You just have to clear everything else you can access from the overworld maps.
True but the game's % does increase with completion of the glitched levels. I'd argue that a 100% definition of the game should be 106%, similar to DKC3 which has 103% completion. The steam achievement shouldn't factor into this.
I can't say this with certainty, but my understanding is you need to do everything in a game to maximise the % completion. The only things you don't have to do are things which don't contribute to the % completion.
100% <<...>> -Spyro 3: game-defined (117%) -Star Fox 64: all medals -Strife: 100% stats and all weapons collected -Super Mario 64: all stars -Super Mario Bros 1: all stages -Super Mario Bros 2: all stages -Super Mario Bros 3: all stages -Super Mario Sunshine: all shines -Super Mario World: all exits -Super Meat Boy: All bandages, all characters, and all stages beaten with an a+ rating (this includes the glitch zones!). -Super Metroid: game-defined (100%) -Thief 3: all loot -Valkyrie Profile: all dungeons -Valkyrie Profile 2: all dungeons (includes Seraphic Gate) -VVVVVV: Collect all shiny trinkets <<...>>
It's a shame you have to put up with something so random, but I'm pretty sure bandage girl glitches out more than 1/20 times. The end may be annoying though.
Good luck with the run, any idea how long it will be?
