In 4-9, is the reason why you don't jump directly at 2.5 sec in the video because you get a portal boost in this angle??? Anyway, These levels are nice, good job(mainly 4-13x) you make 4-14x looks like a game for children after your 4-14 strat .
In 4-9 I have to wait for the sawblade to get directly under it. If I don't wait I get killed by it. In 7-9 jumping at the end actually wastes time instead of saving any (not enough room to get downward momentum that would make a difference. more time is saved by getting far into the hallway and simply falling off of the edge)
I decide to put a lot of effort in my transcription so between two class yesterday, during a 15 minutes break, I decided to transcribe rapture and when I woke up this morning since I didn't have school or work, I decide to learn it, here it is:
So I'm going back to school to practice classical music . Have a nice day and can't wait for new levels so when I'll come back in a couple of hours, You better upload some new levels Exo .
Very nice <3 I spent most of my day playing romscouts vvvvvv romhack and the binding of isaac on my livestream. Will do more smb ILs tomorrow after university ^^
New levels look sick like usual . congratulation on the frame perfection keys on 5-7 and the picture I took with you catching bandage girl while she's being hit by Dr. Fetus while he's being hit by a missile look nice .
Nice job with the levels! There were a few that I had to watch more than once to understand what was going on.
For 6-3 I'm guessing it's impossible to jump through to get the third key without having to wait for the big rotating saw? Seems like if you were a tad faster you could just barely squeeze in there. I'm sure you tried that though.
YEAH!!! They finally announce that they paid someone to import SMB on mac and they said it's going to be done soon so soon I'll be able to play a version that doesn't lag. So in a week or two, I'll finally be able to record some IL ^^ . I'll start with 6-5 and then I'll probably try to beat some of your Hell time Exo(I'll TRY, that's all )
Yeh I had no success getting past the big part of the sawblade clock even with frame-perfect jumps and cutting the keygrabbing as close as possible.
Did you try directly jumping to the second moving platform at the start instead of jumping on the first moving platform and then jumping to the second? Not sure if it's faster or just takes the same amount of time as your way. That's the only other thing I could think of.
This would take the same amount of time since jumping while running is the same speed than running and since he's running all long, the final result is the same.
Actually, in this case jumping to the first platform is slightly faster since for the couple frames you're on it you have running speed plus the speed at which that platform is moving.
@Exo: Just saw the 19:24. I think I can safely retire from the competition and just run this game for fun now. Great job, there's maybe 15-20 seconds worth of mistakes that I could see, but none more than 2 seconds at once. Three-stage Larries after all that made me want to yell at the screen. I think I've seen that twice, total. I like that a few of my flourishes are in here, makes me feel like I contributed somehow. I really enjoyed watching that, if this gets beaten I will be seriously amazed. Fantastic work!
