8.37 seems pretty unlikely unless you've found a new strat for the level. Fyi make sure to enable vsynch or the games timer will give you invalid times.

i hit 8.32.. also, i hit 10.27 on 2-20x.. that is of course if the timer is correct, but the runs have been pretty flawless.

i was streaming it but turns out i had to wrong screen region selected. :/

also, there's a huge amount of Exo's on steam.. any chance I could have a link to your community page? xD

e: regarding times, I'm not sure what to believe.. my minimap says 8.23.. but on my replay the time is different each time :S fraps shows a constant 60FPS..

there's also still room for improvement on "8.23".

Are you on Steam Haz? My times for 2-20x are 10.28 on 360, and 10.23 on Steam. That's with and without the ending wallslide.

But yeah, you'll need to set Vsync through your AMD/Nvidia control panel. But if you saved a replay of your 8.32 time you should upload it, I've always thought Exo's score was around the ceiling give or take.

PS: I actually use a different strategy at the start and finish compared to Exo Smiley

I just timed it side by side with stopwatch.net, and even with human error i'm convinced that the 8.32 at the very least is legit, if not the 8.23 which is on my map screen. *shrug*

I just watched it and yeah, looks like you found a perfect combination of two known strats. We have a new fastest route for 2-20! My main thing would be breaking rhythm like you do when you stop to wall jump up to bandage girl. I've been using Exo's path where you just carry your momentum all the way.

I'm quite annoyed though, if you look at the replay, you see the really fast one which I mess up at the end.. i think 8.00 is probably possible, but i think that the fastest thing in the replay is more or less a flawless run.

getting the first jump is incredibly difficult though, and like you say, breaking rhythm isn't easy, especially when you need to hit the bottom of that platform.

anyway, it's improvable. i will give it a shot later on. but i need to fix my 2-20x, should be able to just about sub 10 there as well Smiley

Congrats on the new strat then Wink

Still make sure to enable vsynch in your gfx control panel to be absolutely sure.
I'll tackle this stage (like all the others that got new strats by now ~_~) when I get back to SMB (which might very well be a while).
I'll pm you my steam profile in a bit.

P.S.: Getting WRs while streaming is VERY dodgy considering that streaming SMB alters the game a lot.

Going to try your end segment to that level.. I'd say around 7.85 is possible?

e: my controller is so borked.. every time i go to walljump (especially at the beginning of 2-20) i get no response.

don't remember having this problem when i originally played SMB.

not going to bother going for any good times until I have a control that wants to work :/

This is for Exo, and my 50+ hours of pain dedicated to this run across 360 and PC. Behold!

I've got the raw 1080p footage of this run too, but I'm very satisfied to have finally finally FINALLY hit the ending wall slide. Somehow when I finally got it, turns out I beat Exo.

I've also got a experimental method to try before I'm done, which is wall jumping straight under the the crevice you wall jump off of before the elevator, not losing time and finishing. I did it once on a fluke, but died on the last jump. I'll be trying to do that or match my 6.29 score here on 360.

Anyway, here's more.

I just wanna get the final any% run and be done witht this game for a long time.
I'll probably have "the run" in a month or so and then stop this game for year or so.

I found a way to "Save a Cycle" in C.H.A.D., it's really hard to explain, I'll try to record tomorrow and give you the link on skype Exo, before you finish your run and I say"hey, I found a way to skip around 5 to 10 seconds" Tongue

. I'll probably post the link here also. (I only hope it's going to work on PC also, it works on Mac/Xbox though).

Also, I still can't get a three round Larry, it's becoming totally ridiculous. Though, I got your insane Hell strat once by trying it for fun once in one of my run, I was "the fu**" Tongue

, I'm starting to get the 3-16 strat consistently, which is nice and I'm having all the new IL strat from "The Rapture". I'm also, starting to get pretty much all frame jump consistently because it's starting to become like a reflex Tongue

. I don't think I'll be able to obsolete your Pc run but I already subbed 22 on Xbox but before submitting, I'll wait for it to be very perfect.

3-20x is nice, i just hit an 18.9 on it with a 498 rank, only thing i wish i could hit is that first destructive rock at the top before i hit the wall like you did. i didnt put much practice into this level as i wanted, but you did what i was trying to do. now i gotta go back, damn it
