No I have not.  Because A, I don't have a DS.  And B, DS Emulators don't really exist completely yet.  And that's all. ;3

So if it randomly selects the character, keep restarting until it picks Luigi.

You pick and change characters during the run, but yeah, you would be using Luigi pretty much always after you got him since he's blatently the best character in the game.  Yoshi and Mario fill in during their time before Luigi of course, and Wario gets to sit around being useless and unrescued.

If you do this Speed Run, you should use Wario, instead of Yoshi+Mario+Luigi.  There are enough runs with just Yoshi+Mario+Luigi in them! :3 ;3

Wario is the slowest for the characters, has the worst long jump, and he only collects a minimal amount of stars. Therefore it would only waste time to get him

If only Radix would allow going out of bounds glitches for this game.

The method here is to first get eight stars for mario, then as yoshi perform the Uberglitch And after that perform the swim under the basement glitch,  finish bowser in the fire sea early, and then from then on you'll have to get 41 more stars.... Sad for we have not yet discovered a way to get past the 50 star door. Check the sm64ds boards of gamefaqs for more info.

I'd like to see how Mario 64 DS Speedrun compares with Speedrun for N64 version.

For those that want to do DS runs Maybe look into getting a cheap but steady tripod for your video recorder?

STAT is a medical term that generally means ASAP.  I can't be bothered to know what it means.

i went over my list again, and there was one star that i couldnt get unless i had wario, so im one star short for the speedrun, ill try and find another fast star to compensate for it.

found the last star i wanted to use.

I did a really really slow 80 star run following my list.

Taking off all the time i spent fooling around i got around 4 hours. I can improve it alot because of all the times i died + errors in my run.

Im going to be practicing a bit more before i record my run.

you should consider how hard and time consuming this game is. doing an 80 star run is doable. although, don't try to do a 150 star run, i have only 113 stars, and thats taken me about 20 hours, so keep practicing and you may qualify as a good time.
