Does anyone else still play this game? I have been running 80 star for a little while and playing about with 1 star and 150 star. Would be nice to have some to compete against/race on srl.

Just to sum up where I have gotten with this game so far (all single segment stuff and times in SDA timing):

80 Star - 1:24:06
Not really happy with this PB. I have had a run which was 2 minutes ahead entering the final bowser pipe and I died in bowser, even that wasn't a great run. I probably won't submit a run for this category until sub 1:20.

50 Star - 51:57
Haven't touched this category in quite a while (9 months to be exact), in which time I think I have improved quite a lot. I have almost entirely lost interest in this category because it has become pretty meaningless since I learnt how to do 8 star. I probably won't ever bother submitting a run of this category, although I might randomly pick it up some time in the future if I get bored of other categories.

8 Star - 17:10
Decent run considering the lack of reliability and complexity of the skips. Still far from perfect although quite hard to beat. Sadly, this pb had a death in Shifting Sand Land, but the 2 bunny clips and the endless stairs skip were ridiculously good.

1 Star - 24:59
I first completed a run of this category 2 days ago and obviously, being over 7 minutes longer but getting 7 less stars than my 8 star pb, shows that this is far from optimised. This category is stupidly hard to get a decent run going because it has 5 unreliable and difficult major skips (the most difficult of these being the 8 star door skip, which is unique to this category). I would have thought that I will get this run lower than my 8 star pb at some point, although I do believe that this category is so difficult that I will never get a run that I will be happy with (but who knows, maybe in the future some different strats or more reliable skips will be found).

150 Star - 4:29:34
I have only done 2 runs of this category and never really developed or practised any good strategies for it (these 2 runs were basically random fun runs that I did to kill some time). I don't know if I will ever pick up this category seriously (I have never really cared for any 100% categories of games that I have ran).

This thread is getting old, but I hope that a few people are still interested in running this game.

I would like to help you with your categories, since I am interested in running this game too! At the moment I am routing the 150 star category, but I could also help with the other categories. The problem is that I do not have a DS capture card and the only way to record the gameplay from my console would be with a Camcorder. But I think that it should be enough for short strat or route videos.
