nice to meet you. more translations are always good. we've had almost 5,000 visits from brazil over the last month. only a few hundred from portugal but i guess that's to be expected.

don't hesitate to post in the "other languages" forum if you need any help with picking the right words. at that point you will see whether you can draw out any of the brazilians. Smiley
No pain, no gain
Oh, don't worry.  I've got a thread started up there.  We'll see if any Brazilians pop up.  Smiley

I know some Brazilian gamers, as well, so I'll probably be able to find enough information to get goin'.  I think it'll be fun.  ^_^
Just don't forget about it, ending up apologizing to nate years later for having forgotten. *cough* D:

Brazilian Portuguese is different from European, isn't it?
So would it be Brazilian only or can you make a European Portuguese translation too?

BTW, if someone could change this in the German translation:

Quote:
Die meisten Glitches sind jetzt erlaubt, inklusive der zuvor verbotenen Glitches, die es einem erlauben, die normalen Levelgrenzen zu überschreiten (auf englisch „Out Of Bounds“, kurz OOB und Warp-Glitches).

@ Alexandre :

Welcome, brother from 'Essentia'.
This is very nice to help SDA for the translation of portuguese.

It is very important that you find native speaker of your translation work.
I have only one nickname in my SDA list which come from portugal, his name is '-Neo-'.

@ djcj :

Quote:
Most glitches are now allowed, including the previously banned out of bounds (commonly referred to as OOB) and warping glitches.

Falls das etwa missverständlich war, weil ich Mortyre zitiert habe:
Ja, genau da sollte sie hin und so stand es auch schon in deinem Posting, als ich es gelesen habe.
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
TheVoid and djcj: I agree, it's not ideal, but I don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Maybe one day we will have a big presence here of all sorts of people, but if it's easier now for this external forum as a transition, I'm ok with that.

Also I fixed the German parenthesis, because I think djcj is right.
Just thought id share this with you, me and my friend have been working on a demo playthrough of FFXIII with English subs. Here is what we have so far.

Swedish and Norwegian are pretty similar, or Norwegians can for the most part understand Swedish. But I could translate into Norwegian if you want.. x3

When talking about comitted to SDA, I registered about half a year ago and were going to help a guy doing a co-op run for Red Alert 3. But when he couldn't do it after all, I got a little demotivated, and went back to watching the ocassional speedrun when in school. But I now made up my mind, and are going to start and finish the Red Alert 3 run, and will be around more.  Smiley

]EDIT[

And it would be a great way for me to give at least a little something back to this site.

Cool, I love it when people post in this thread. It should happen more! Like with people saying "hey, we finished this translation."

Aren't Danish and Norwegian even more similar?
Well, is the recruiting for translation still open ? If it is, I'd like to register as a French translator. Smiley

There already is a French translation: http://speeddemosarchive.com/lang/
Oh well, I guess I'm too late Smiley

For any further translation, I believe more than one translator would be best. Rare are the books or anything that are translated by only one person. Just my 2 cents.

My english is not very fluent, but I found a good couple of grammatical mistakes in the current translated french version. Of course, french is a hard language to write so it's very normal. Even though, I miss a minimal amount of mistakes while writting french, that's why I'd want to be contacted when anything french-related!
I could translate to Czech if you're interested.

If a hand is needed with Dutch, I'm Dutch myself. So, obviously a native speaker. And, as I'm in the process of writing a massive fantasy saga... in English, it's safe to assume I'm close to native speaking in that language as well.

Hi @ all,
Once upon a time there was a young 12-year-old-german boy named jatenk who found this site and wanted to watch some runs but was not able to understand what was standing on the run pages because he just could read german. Now he's 17, really good english speaker and -translator and got the idea to solve this problem for future generations. As you all may have noticed, this little boy was or is me  Grin So, not-knowing about this thread or even the idea of translating the site, I contacted Mike and offered my help to translate some of the game-pages - and got permission to start. Now I finished the first two site (Banjo Kazooie and Bomberman 64) and currently I'm waiting for him to check' em - but that'll be a problem 'cause Mike doesn't speak german. So, now that I found this thread, I thought I'll just post' em in here so that other native-german-speakers can read or correct them. They are attached below - And because I'm happy Mac-User they are in Mac-format and Windows-format separated.

Didn´t  know where to put this exactly, and I don´t want to bump mike´s goodbye thread where all this stuff was posted, but all FAQ pages still need updated information on how to contact flip, because it has only been changed in the english version yet.
I know people have more important things to worry about with the mararhon coming up, but I just wanted to point it out for the future.
