I did a playthrough yesterday and found a number of timesavers. I also recorded a few death warps that are fairly obvious, but should still be documented.

CRAZY SHIT DUDE, I do believe that you were running at low res, and i was running at high res, but i figured out the Sanct. of W & I glitch. Its. Solved. I could not get it on low res, because the game did not get it on low res after 15 minutes of attempts, then I switch to high res, and BAM every 30 seconds of so five times in a row, AND THEN i left the pirate there and did the glitch even slightly fast from the test ive done so far. So what this means it the sanct of W & I door skip depends on lag, and thats the reason you could not get it while i could, ANND the reason the the PC version has such a hard time doing the glitch!!!!!!

Interesting. My run was on high-res, though. The game always starts on high-res if you have an Expansion Pak in. I didn't change any settings at the beginning of my run.

EDIT: I made a video showing the differences:

It seems that it's best to play with Expansion Pak in, resolution set to low, and sharpness set to maximum.

Has someone tried setting sound to mono or lowering the sound/music to the absolute minimum (which should be muted)? Maybe it will detect that the sound is muted and save the resources for producing it.

Have you tried it with more lag? Lag is what makes the trick work on N64.

Yes you probably have to do an any %, 100% run is a crazy bitch ^^ I'm actually working on it but it's too damn hard. You will be able to think of it when you'll finish the game in sub 2h30 I think.
