Hey Timo (and anyone else who still is doing project demos =)

Whilst planning for refilming I've noticed that you play using non-water-vis:ed maps.

In demos recorded without water-vis:ed maps, stuff under water don't exist until after you break the water surface, and vice versa. This makes refilming just a little bit more difficult.

So unless it's an active choice you've made not to use water-vis:ed maps, could you at least give them a try? I'll write a howto on applying the patch in the tech support section of the forum.
hey Mandel,
are you talking about the id1vis patch which patches all id1 maps? If yes, what level does that use? I heard level 4 is the best. Just curious.

Yeah, that's the one. I assume the people who made the patch used level 4 VIS since their readme says the following:

Wouldn't you rather spend twenty minutes downloading and installing than several weeks doing full (-level 4) VIS on all these levels?

I guess it wouldn't take several weeks anymore to do it all manually though =)

I think we should label e4m6 as done too. I doubt that I'll improve it, but I'm not 100% sure though.

There are some mistakes in timings.
The time saved on Ep. 3 should be 1:39 instead of 1:40, so the total saved time should be 8:40. BTW, the final map is missing in Overall Status table, and the time for Ep.1 is wrong (6:10, must be 6:09), as well as the total time (33:44, must be 33:43).

I don't want to promise anything, but I'm playing with the recam of Connor's amazing e4m3 run at the moment.  I've done about the first 15 seconds, and I'm playing on spending tomorrow working on it... we'll see where I've got by Monday :-)

You might want to know that there's some issues with the stats for Connor's new demo. Either this one or e4m5 will have to be re-run in order for the stats to fit. He uses too many grenades in e4m3 as compared to the previous demos.

Aw, crap.  Still, most of the demo will be similar, right?  Or maybe I'll recam something else tomorrow.

i'm going to re-do e4m5 with two less grenedes rather than doing e4m3 again, so feel free to recam e4m3 (can't wait to see it!)

while there is still room for improvement on e4m3, e4m5 will be a lot easier. Since i'm lucky to fit in much quake at all just at the moment, I'm going for the lazy way out (and don't ask me to improve them both!)

Oh, cool.  I should have some recamming time this weekend, but, my, is it a frustrating experience.
