duckfist!  thank you so much for responding.  i have been getting the jump much more consistently.

do you have any insight on how to get the best possible zip out of the last hot dog room (i.e. the one ello does in that video)? i believe i heard a streamer say it was frame perfect.  i noticed that ello taps b before pressing right - is that necessary or does it just help with timing? i always seem to exit the zip right over the dog or end up wrapping around.

As you leave the first and second dog screens, if you hold left then hit b as you gain control of mega man, you'll trigger the zip as fast as possible. Then it's just a matter of hitting right to stop yourself at the edge of the screen. You don't have to do it this way (anyway you can re-trigger zipping in the second or third dog screens is fine), but this is just the fastest/most consistent way.

In a perfect world, wood scrolls would look like this - http://www.twitch.tv/ellonija/c/4393348?t=23s Unfortunately landing on the edge 3/3 times is very hard and you don't see it very often.

Now, when you stop too early before the edge of the screen (I think I stop 1 spot too early in screen 1 & 2 in my video), then you need to get to the edge by 'wiggling'. Wiggling can be done 2 ways. 1) either spamming left/right, or trying to time it or 2) hitting jump > left in the timing that I do in my video (this will move you 1 tile right if done correctly), then hitting right to trigger the screen transition (can't be done facing left). The only problem with the jump wiggle strat in wood scrolls is, once you do it you go off the screen. Also you only get 1 shot, as failing it either a) you move 2 tiles instead of 1 due to miss-timed inputs and zip passed the screen transition or b) you only manage to move up a tile instead of right, which means if you get it next attempt, you'll be a tile lower in the next screen, which makes getting passed the dog very interesting (once you go off the screen, every jump pressed will lower your position on the next screen by 1 tile).

Buster has a good video on jump wiggling if you wanted to learn it -

Other than that, spamming/timing left & right inputs is probably a good way of learning wiggling, but it is very inconsistent.

The deal with the last dog screen is that if you manage to hit the edge of the screen + still be somewhat in the ceiling, tapping left right as you gain control of mega man in the next room will give you an extra zip. How many frames you tap left for (you want to tap left for the least amount of frames as possible, so a simple flick/tap) + timing of tapping left will decide how far it zips you.

Unfortunately wood scrolls are all annoying muscle memory/stupid timing, and you'll fail them all the time because they are stupid.

As Duckfist has said, I sound like a madman trying to explain stuff in mm2 sometimes, so let me know if there's anything else. Chances are I have a video of it somewhere, or I can just make one with inputs.
