So I'll join the competition!

And i've done some challenges too:

Stage:Toy time galaxy: Bouncing down Cake-Lane
Challenge: Complete the stage
Stiplutations: You're only allowed to collect purple starpieces and only by colliding with them(No picking up by pointing on them) Keep the coursor on screen all the time.

It's been a month of silence here. Time to fix that.

I ripped through 5 more challenges today - and one appears to be a first. I'm working on encoding right now - will add YouTube links to the videos when I have them available.

#13: Stage: Sea Slide Galaxy - Purple Coins

(Skip ahead about 5 1/2 minutes as I have problem getting onto that stupid green toad ship.)

#15: Stage: Freezeflame Galaxy - Hot and Cold Collide
(Time: ~ 1:38:63)

#28: Stage: Space Junk Galaxy - Kamella's Airship Attack
(FIRST!) This took some figuring out...a very fun challenge.

#31: Stage: Rolling Gizmo Galaxy
(6 coins + 130 bits + 0 1-UP mushrooms collected)

#33: Stage: Megaleg's Moon
(3 A presses at Cut Scene, 1 A Press to jump on the leg, and 1 A Press to get the Grand Star = 5 Presses)

This will add 4,050 points to my score, bringing it up to 13,100 (once it's official).

This will bring my unofficial total to 14,700.

I have a few challenges that might be kinda easy for some, but they're still fun to do. Sorry if these challenges are there already, I read the first post and didn't see anything like 'em (or I didn't read properly):

Matter Splatter Galaxy
- Collect all 1-UPs (five, as far as I recall) and then finish the level with Spring Mario. Naturally, this must be done in one go.

Gateway's Purple Coins (Gateway Galaxy)
- Grab the Red Star, then collect all 100 Purple Coins plus the Star without ever touching the ground. I haven't timed myself here, but some limit would make things more interesting since there are so many different ways to tackle this Star. (Note that the Red Star has a unique property where spinning in the air near Purple Coins pulls them to you, without necessarily having to touch them.)

Bigmouth Galaxy
- Complete the level using only the Nunchuk. You'll have to press A in order to skip Toad text and grab the Star, but everything up until opening the golden chest must be done with only the Nunchuk.

Hi, I've been dying for challenges in SMG for the longest time, and now I've found this. I won't actually be joining the race because I don't like the star bit or coin challenges, and I don't feel like redoing and rerecording the 8000+ in challenges I've already done. I also love to create challenges, and may be willing to make vids to show that the challenges I make are possible. These are the challenges I have thought up or found in the challenge topic on Gamefaqs, which is now dead Sad

#34: Stage: Gusty Garden- Purple Coins on the Puzzle cube
Challenge: Complete the stage
Stipulations: Collect all 150 Purple Coins
Points: 1500

#35: Stage: Honeyhive- Bugs on the Tower (Not sure if thats the right name)
Challenge: Complete the stage
Stipulations: Complete without using switches
Points: 400

#36: Stage: Toy Time- Mario/Luigi Meets Mario
Challenge: Complete the stage
Stipulations: Do not touch green squares (don’t make them shrink and disappear)
Points: 400

I also pwnd challenge #30, You only need one jump. I'll try making a vid, but it should change to this:

Only being worth 200 more seems a little low, but I don't know why it was 1,000 to begin with. Also, if you can find a way to avoid the electricity in the last part, we can add a no damage stipulation.

Wanted to bump the topic, I check this almost daily BTW.

A note for the sweet sweet challenge- Mario needs 2 jumps, so you should do it with Luigi.

I also have another challenge, but it feels incomplete. In the trial planet with the bubbles, once I got to the second part, I didn't use the 6th bubble. By jumping on those floating balls, spinning fences, and arrow signs, I got really close to the last straitaway on foot (the part with tons of bullet bills). Without getting to the star, it feels a little incomplete to be an official challenge, but it's really fun to do

Hi there, ShadwSonic here. I recently found this forum and am very interested in it. Would any of you have a problem if I used these challenges for subscription specials for my LP channel on Youtube? I would definately credit speeddemosarchives for it, and would include prizes (point levels for these prizes still debateable). Don't get too excited though, I still need good recording equipment to upload videos before I can start LPing.
