I tried # 10, but only found 4 of the 5 coins. I think it's very possible to do it if I knew where the last one was.

Looking over the list - is it even possible to do The Fate of the Universe in less than 2:30 (Challenge #2)? I think 2:45 or 2:50 is more reasonable.

RJWaters, are you having trouble locating all the coins or finishing the mission in time? #10 shouldn't be that difficult unless you're missing something. In fact, I was about to agree with you when you first suggested that it wasn't very uber.

We also need points for #9 and #10. Someone get mwl over here.

Judging by the difficulties of other challenges, I'd say 500 points for #10 and 1000 for #9.

Here's another challenge that I posted earlier:
Complete Gusty Garden's "Purple Coins on the Puzzle Cube" with a score of 16.

I'd put this in the 500-point range difficulty-wise.

If I am correct in saying that one of the 5 coins is...(I don't want to spoil it)
I know where they are, but I might have the wrong 5.
It's-a me, Stalin!
The flower jump is a lot easier than you all make it out to be. No timing is needed, just a bit of precision. Mikauro's description of 'extremely hard' was miles off. To long jump just after touching the ground, just keep on holding Z and A. No timing, see?

Challenge 12

I spent a lot of time trying to complete #3. Got to Baron Brr a couple times quick enough to have beaten him within the time constraints, but then ended up getting hit both times. I'll definitely be trying that more tomorrow.

Also, is #11 possible? I seem to remember discussing this a lot in the actual SMG topic, and the consensus seemed to be that you need the spring for the one part near the beginning.
WHAT
how about 1000 or so points for someone consecutively jumping on every goomba on yoshi's head, in the space junk galaxy

It surely is with Luigi. Not even hard if you know the secret. (easy enough for me, easy enough for Mikauro)  It is faster, cause you're not stuck spring-bouncing to the next sling star.  Like the flower jumping, it might be too harf to do right to save time.

Pssst...

I actually thought Challenge 7 was impossible myself. I guess there's always at least one challenge that different people will think is insane at one point or another.

The only one I'm not sure is possible is #2, after the 30-second lessed.

Wow, totally missed that post. Thanks Quiet Man. That's really weird though. It only lets you grab the wall from that back corner, or what? Because I could never grab it with a triple jump in the middle.

Approaching it straight on doesn't allow you to get up there at all. I'm pretty sure diagonally from where I did it is the only way to do it. You could try the opposite side to see if it works, but I think the space you have to pull off your triple jump is shorter.

Here's Challenge 10.

Well done. Now I'm going to check to see if it's possible to get 6.  Smiley

I want to get by on a technicality: Challenge 4 is only to collect the 150 coins, right, not the star?

I actually thought of that one too.

mwl, how many points is #9 and 10 worth? The person who submits the challenge is supposed to decide.
see reply #76.
1.Sea Slide Galaxy: The Silver Stars of Sea Slide:
complete the level, no bee suit
points 400?

2.Sea Slide Galaxy: Hurry, He's Hungry
complete the level, no jumping after you get in the cannon

1. its possible to get the 5 sliver stars, can you collect the power star tho?
2. is this possible.

I know the second can't be done...I've tried on the Hurry-scurry galaxy.  I know all silver stars are collectable, but not the star.

So basically my ideas were rubbish then :(:(

I think it should be two seperate challenges.
I really don't like the point system since I can't help but feel it degrades challenges with low points. Once a strategy is found to do a high point challenge easily the points do not make sense.

They still leave an even field-if the challenges are easy with high points, the people with the most skill still end up with the  most points.

And you can get the star from 5 silver stars without the bee suit. It's not challenging, though.  The only star out of reach is the one in the tree...
EDIT: #13 was a lot harder than I suspected, so I'm going to say 1,000 for clockwise and 800 for counter-clockwise.

I agree that a lot of the points are off, but his first post says that there will be "rewards" (presumably some that are worth something) according to points. Hopefully they'll be fixed.

And I'm uploading a 40 minute video of me doing challenge #7. Gonna take a while...

Me? I did. I don't get what you mean. Mikauro says "he was literally a second away from 3 mins" = 2:59
