My run is probably going to be as close to dead as Any% will get. I'm sure Yeti is going to do attempts to beat it, so we'll see what happens. As far as all photos goes, it sounds interesting but routing it may be hard.

Well I'm at least going to try to take WR. DontNod is my favourite developer. Going to try to get WR for every game and category of theirs lol. Will make some attempts tomorrow.

We've been talking about getting an in game timer set up for livesplit since load times are going to matter very quickly in such an easy to optimize game. Idk how to make one but some people have said they might
twitch.tv/deadrobots
The game doesn't have an in game timer to use, it would just be a timer without loads. I personally haven't found the load times to matter at all. The bigger problem is occasional fps drops while actually playing.  But those have been very rare. The game seems really good at that. It's most likely that most of the loads are hidden and act out during the small cutscenes. Because that's how it worked in Dontnods other game Remember Me. The cutscenes in that game were used to mask parts of the levels loading. If you skipped some you couldn't trigger certain things and parts of the maps just wouldn't appear. Like, Also when you walk through a door especially in the dorms it seems like the animation might act like the door animations in Resident Evil. And use those to load. Including the fact that you have to wait a few seconds after walking through the doors before you can move. Which might be other little tricks they put in to mask loading. Which could potentially standardize the loads more.

Like has anyone actually seen load differences between runs? Also the concern that certain parts of cutscenes might not have their time counted properly depending on how they're coded in the files(Especially if part of them are used to load and that part gets cut out or something?) Because a lot of W/o Loads timers remove cutscene times as well. Which doesn't work with the way the game plays lol. So you'd need to make sure it still times the entire cutscene.

I dunno, just my random thoughts on it.

Also a timer without loads or "IGT" would only work for PC version and not for the console versions.
Yeah my loads are faster than Yeti's

are they actually? Alright then. I haven't actually looked into it. Was just speaking from their previous games standpoint, but I guess they decided to change their approach. The problems of not having an actual IGT in the game(That I've seen) And there's the part of a timer like that not working for consoles. Might be able to find a way to just time from your video how long your loads are and subtract them for console users? Not sure. Also does anyone know if console or PC load faster or slower? Maybe I'll try running on the lowest settings instead of highest and see if that speeds me up lol.

I get loading screens in places that scoot doesn't at all. An IGT plugin for livesplit would deal with loads in cutscenes I think, since it just reads the game's memory to find out when it's progressing or not. As far as console goes, loads are almost certainly gonna be slower, and I can't think of a 100% accurate way to remove them.

Yea, also need to check to see if the cutscenes count as progressing in the memory. Since in some games they don't lol. Boy that would save a lot of time xD They probably do though because of the choices during them. BTW, I submitted my PB to the leaderboards.

Glad to see more activity in this forum, and new runners. More than I thought, Good luck and happy running!
Also, glad to see you turned up DeadRobots! Smiley

I was just waiting for a route lol. Too busy learning other games and being on mini hiatus practicing for a sm4sh tourney to route myself xD
Is there any way I can get mod on speedrun.com? haha

I think they're complicated unless you know what you're doing. Taking out load times manually isn't a thing we all want to do, but having no-loads would be good, because my laptop is terrible. I could have the WR in IGT but because we run in RTA I could be last on the leaderboard. Fatalis did some no-loads timers but doesn't anymore, so we have to do them ourselves

Working on the all pictures route, it isn't that hard tbh

I honestly don't get how it's possible to save 20+ seconds on my run, even with really smooth movement and execution. Is there tech I'm missing or am I literally just fucking garbage at video games.

Probably loading times, as I said

Also, did you get the fast upstairs skip that Robots does?
aka FFAtv on twitch
Fast upstairs skip????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The name's Sheldor. InfiniteSheldor.
DeadRobots does a skip in Chloe's house. You can go up the stairs from by the banister next to the kitchen. Saves a few seconds. I also managed to move the lamp once but I can't remember if it was after rewinding. I have no school for the next few days, so I plan on testing it and running LIS over the next few days
twitch.tv/deadrobots
You cannot move the lamp before unwinding. Also yea, if you go at the right angle sometimes it lets you go up the stairs fast. I just spam my buttons as I move towards each object so that I hit them at the fastest possible time. There's also a few doors that open faster if you look at them.

Okay, so I must've done something with the lamp, probably rewound and don't remember it. I guess there probably isn't anything else to be found until episode 2. Robots, I'm just finishing the video for the All Optional Photos% Route so you can get another WR lol

I thought I'd mention this now before I forget, what is your favourite song in episode 1?
I'd also like to ask those who have runs on speedrun.com to update their run with the new variable I added - using or not using a controller

So, I know I've posted in here a lot, but episode 2 is out tomorrow. Anyone going to get it and route it? I got the season pass so I don't need to pay any extra Cheesy

So, in episode 2, we see Chloe's car keys in Life Is Strange episode 2. Max describes the panda on it as 'a cute robot panda'
That's gotta be Jax, the Remember Me reference DeadRobots and I were discussing about
