Hey Skelekat.
So there are two categories at the moment, any% and allmissions%. The reason for the two categories is that we believe the fastest way to get any% is to just complete the agency missions, and spend the rest of the time going place to place blowing up things for a few hours. By doing all missions instead, the run is a lot more exciting.
There are 65 missions in total. Routing for this game mainly consists of minimising the distance between the missions. This is tricky as missions start and end at different points. Also there are prerequisites to many of the missions that must be fulfilled. The route I have posted was determined by using an algorithm, however it only took into account raw distance(not transportation method) so there could be improvements.
Chaos is extremely important during this run. You get chaos by blowing up things and completing missions. Missions have chaos requirements, and the game is designed so that even if you finish all of the missions in the game, you will still be 40,000 chaos short on the prerequisite of the final two agency missions. This means an important part of the run is destroying objects during missions and the run in such a way that it doesn't make your run slower(ie. shooting down fuel tanks while travelling to the next mission).
Transportation is another complicated factor. There are various modes of transportation - grappling hook, helicopter, car, jet and extraction. The method of transport depends on what is between you and your next mission. If there is a relatively straight road, car/bike is faster than the grappling hook and helicopter. Grappling hook and helicopter are relatively the same speed, and are good when you have to cross through a lot of tough terrain(forests, hills, buildings). Jets are best over longer distances(2-3km+). You can have jets delivered to your location using the black market. It can be difficult to find flat land to take off on though. Extraction is the best method of transport and can be done by calling the black market. You can not have any heat on you(wanted level) to use it. It will drop you off to a location of your choosing that you have discovered(ie. village, dock, military base etc), so it is only useful when the mission you are going to is close to a place you have already discovered.
There is also an ability to upgrade your weapons and vehicles. We haven't explored this too much, I am planning on investigating today.
I think that is a decent overview. It is a fun game, but I am finding you need to be precise due to the physics at play in order to be fast.
