Duke Done Quicker, a set of speed runs created by Fernito and my self as a sequel to Duke Done Quick, contains improved and unparalleled times for all of the levels in Duke Nukem 3D 1.5 for DOS.

These sets of runs were made over the span of years and were not in any way shape or form tool assisted. Full information about every glitch featured in these runs, as well as the runs in .dmo format, can be found at http://www.red-stars.net/

One minute and twenty eight seconds were shaved off of Duke Done Quick by using a plethora of new glitches and new paths through the levels.

The total run time of the video is just shy of 40 minutes because we packed this full of extra videos including levels from the expansion packs, "100s" runs, and more. We are sure that every avid Duke fan will be greatly pleased by this video.

I can't help but recommend that you grab the highest quality video that your computer can play back smoothly. The high quality video looks nearly lossless, and the medium quality one looks very respectable, as well.

I'm sorry that this video was not released months ago as planned (and as announced in the trailer) but we were aiming for max quality. There are glitches in here that range from well known, to making their first appearance, and we are sure you will be amazed.

Hopefuly you will see them here on SDA soon.

Enjoy,
JLennox
Speed is everything!
I'll download it as soon as I can Smiley
This is the most insane thing I have ever saw.
The sort of speedrun you have to open vdub and go frame by frames to understand what he have done, its just too fast for me at some places, my eyes can't keep up Cheesy

Nicely done Wink
Speed is everything!
I'm downloading now! Cheesy

Thanks for your comments, AjAx. You really made me blush  :-[ Grin haha.

I'm really happy you liked the runs. We have put (believe me) A LOT of effort on those runs.
This whole run is so amazingly amazing. I loved this game back in my childhood.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I'm very interested on how you made the DOS version of the game run, i'd so want to speedrun Shadow Warrior and jonof's port seems dead :<

Simple: just have a DOS machine  Grin

I recorded the runs on a Pentium 3 with WindowsME.

It is possible to run DOS version under DOSBox on WinXP, but that wouldn't make the runs "legit" for SDA, since you are able to modify the velocity of the game.
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Shadow Warrior actually runs (with sound) if you use VirtualPC by Microsoft, with a DOS bootdisk of some sort.

I asked mikwyama a while back, and he said they'd be accepted if done on this (since it's an 'official' emulator).
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Meh, there go my hopes then :<
What did you use to record it btw?
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Btw... why don't you use the HRP (High Resolution Pack) ?

I find it easier to use (though I LOVE Duke with his "old" skin =) )

Nearly all modern Duke ports do not support Duke 1.5 demo files.
Uhm guys, why isn't JLennox' listed at SDA? Did something went wrong/ilegal?

Cheers
Heretic and Doom fan
@ jlennox

what did you use to capture the video from DOS ??

I am interested to do a similar run for Heretic, I got a bunch of old computers with DOS/Win98 ....
What does this "3D Realms Time" shown in the speedrun videos mean?
Its like PAR: time in wolf3d, like they speedran the game and gave their times.
Shame the public beats them at their own game =p
.
Yay necro.
