Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
Use this thread for discussing all categories of Banjo-Kazooie runs. Here are some recently discovered tricks for any% and low% runs:

Thread title:
Everybody's favorite monster
I had an any % route all worked out. You need 94 jiggies and 810 to beat the game.
My name is unpronounceable
Why'd that first post get deleted?

Sorry, I wasn't sure if I was clear on my post.
So I need 94 Jiggies, and 810 Notes in order to beat the game.
Are there any Tutorial Videos for tricks in the games. I'm able to get the "Tinkers Tower"(?) trick. But aren't able to get the trick for MM Ant Hill Jiggy yet.
Watching the 100% run has helped me a little so far.
+ Any tricks for memorizing routes? Or is that just come with the practice?
Formerly known as Skullboy
Which version of the game are you using? There is a version or two that prevents you from getting the termite mound jiggy as Banjo. Practice is best for this game. Memorization shouldn't be too hard once you know the route. The execution will be tougher (thinks of Rusty Bucket Bay and Click Clock Wood). Good luck.
I do have Version 1.0 of the game. Took a while to figure out, and then actually doing, the trick.

This might be useful for an any% route. It lets you skip the engine room:

Edit: why is this thread in gaming discussions lol.. can a mod move it to older consoles?

I broke Banjo-Kazooie.

This lets you finish the game with 69 jiggies.
Magical. Flying. Bathtub
Ok, any% and 100% now have proper differences!

So, which 69 jiggies will it be?
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
IT BEGINS
The route should skip any and all jiggies requiring a transformation, except pumpkin since you need it to get into RBB... unless it might be faster to just completely skip that level since there's so much leeway. It's probably suboptimal, but an interesting thought, that entire levels can be skipped now. Besides that, just the jiggies closest to the current note route should probably be acquired, since you still need 810 notes, right?
Levels can't be entirely skipped since you need 810 notes, and in 8 levels you can only get 800.
Does anybody know where I can see stivitybobo's run so I can get some routing references, my route is out-of-date?
@ RingRush: Oh yeah, duh. Do pumpkin then.

@ KN4life: http://www.twitch.tv/stivitybobo/videos?page=4 . I think it should be around there, you're going to have to look through a few videos for the whole thing though since his stream cuts out so often.
@ Phantasmagorical Thank You for the help.
One more question, are runs required to be done by in-game time?
dabes
Walk into wall repeatedly and go right through to skip a ton of stuff.

****ing 3D Rare games lmao. Now we just need someone to walk through walls in CBFD.

In other news, gj Cronikeys for finding this.

But enough about conker, what about BANJO~?
I'm excited to see the new routes for any%

(✿◠‿◠) thank you all. I should say this is a frame perfect jump with a very tight angle of opportunity to clip back in bounds. You get as many tries as you want though since if you fall out of bounds you don't lose a life. Kirkq helped in the discovery by TASing the beginning of that video based on my idea.

Yeah, Banjo-Kazooie goes by in-game time (or as I like to call it "comfy cozy time").

Everybody's favorite monster
This is fucking epic. You are my new hero
Holy shit, a sequence break in BK! Seems to be a broken game after all.
But is that even possible to do without tool assistance?

The clip is simple (like the Rusty Bucket Bay one), but it's followed by a one frame jump while holding a specific (within two degrees) angle on your control stick. What makes it feasible in a run is that you have unlimited tries since there's no consequence for missing it besides time loss.
It's apparently a very specific angle for the clip and then one frame on the jump. Nothing that you couldn't do on console. Whether it's feasible for a run is a different story, but people have done plenty of crazier things. I could easily see someone coming up with a consistent setup for the angle, then it's just a matter of getting the jump which shouldn't be a huge deal with unlimited retries, especially if the angle was consistent.

Of course I say all this having never done this myself, so. Tongue But I'd definitely expect this to end up console feasible.
Holy batballs Cronikeys! Stop destroying my childhood or I'm going to call the cops on you!

In all seriousness, would it be possible to do the clip early in the run and then warp back using the pot? Since it's such a hard trick that might be favourable over doing it in the end in case you screw up repeatedly.

You can only get to this area with 810 notes right now. It's pretty much the last thing in the game before the boss fight.
oh right silly me. Well you know your next project ;).
