The higher your walking speed, the easier it becomes. I do recall one of Mr_Weables' past WRs to clip through that wall at rather low health, so it's most likely possible (though very hard to do so in some cases) at all health levels.

Oh ok. Didn't know that sorry mochi. I thought the last health level fully prevents running speed making some clips impossible to do. But Adam and Mr_Weables have a lot more experience with the game than I do. I'll just have to make sure not to take so much bloody damage on getting there everytime.

your running speed increases as you interact with the weird surface area of that section. if you wait for all the shaking to stop and just start running at it and wiggling the mouse around in big slow motions you'll see daniel run at the wall faster and faster. naturally having full health helps you run faster quicker but i always hypothesized that the shaking at the beginning also helps you get the extra speed you need faster too

so save at least one laud for that clip and get to the wall as fast as possible

So Weables was with me for the stream, but I was testing full OoB Prison S routes and they all seem to be slower, but definitely possible. With some cheeky strats, you can bump the bed-frame into the hammer from OoB to get it within reach of grabbing and there's a corner OoB at the Chisel room that allows you to be within reach and then you can clip back in at the bedroom door to finish the section. With everything done perfect it seems to be a loss in time at best, so it's not viable but it's fun and really flashy if you do it all right :3

Anyway, yea at the last clip through the wall at the Inner Sanctum, the higher your health is, the easier it is, at least its like that for me. So I assume thats also the reason why ya' gather laudanum throughout the run. But yea, that clip....oooh boy that clip.

Anyway, yea even though I can't wait to attempt to break it, I read somewhere that the devs, are aware of the glitches in TTD, and are trying to build something, you know less breakable. But regardless, if they use the same engine, then it should be somewhat easy to break. In the end I'm so looking forward to it!
I'm very interested to see how the Dear Esther devs factor into how the engine and environment will work. Hopefully they weren't too heavy-handed on our exploits and left some wiggle-room for Any% runs X)

it depends on how you interpret their wording, i think. i was a little concerned at first but it seems like they were focused more on the actual legitimate gameplay "exploits", like how dying despawns enemies. (especially since they're promising that AMFP is going to be harder :D)

i think it's also a good sign that AMFP will be using the HPL2 engine. though, Frictional's next currently-super-top-secret horror game will use HPL3, so i think we might need to enjoy the brokenness while it lasts Cheesy

I agree, I'm pretty sure the game will still be broken and the fact that it's harder, makes it even better, so even if the game end up being less broken, it will probably be funier to speedrun Cheesy !!!
Hopefully what you're saying is true, that they're fixing the exploits that make the game easier in the actual gameplay, and not in a speedrun sense! The one thing I'm interested in with the AaMfP run is that they said the main hub of the world is going to be an outdoor neighborhood of sorts. I wonder how a large, outdoor environment is going to factor into the run?

I imagine they will have probably fixed some of the more glaring issues (most likely the save related stuff & vertical boosting) if they have fixed any speedrun related glitches. Unless they completely change up the physics i think it is unlikely that they will fix all the clipping methods. E.g. Even if they do fix the wall clips by making the walls have thickness, if there is a shovel, chair, barrel, carpet or any other round & small prop at some point...

That's pretty much what I was also thinking about, the shovel stay the most powerful object in this game Tongue (kidding)! More seriously, if they want to limit the number of glitches, they shouldn't put any barrel, the physic of those barrel is weird as S**t!

I just want to let everyone know that Debug and Quick Save functions are both valid and enabled the same way as in ATDD in AMFP. I haven't touched the game yet besides it, but I'm hopeful for some cool finds!
I'm a bit disappointed in the new amnesia in terms of gameplay.

It's so counter intuitive because there's like nothing to interact with in 95% of the areas but the game forces you to examine everything in order to progress. I was expecting to solve simple puzzles at the start of the game but instead I just walked aimlessly around in circles trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do to begin with.

I'm at the church right now for anyone that's curious.
I'm seeing Tejbi and Appjm streaming AaMfP already, did you guys even beat it yet!? D:

Yeah i started playing it as soon as it came out and it took about 5 hrs. I've found a bunch of huge skips already and will be streaming again in about 1 hour. I've made a new topic for A:Amfp as it makes more sense to document all the new glitches in there rather than here.
Hey guys, what's up. I was thinking about trying to run Amnesia. I new to the game and its mechanics so any/all help would be appreciated.
Looking through the forum I wasn't really sure what is being used and what is outdated. Is there any documented route anywhere that I could look at? Again, I'd really appreciate if anyone could save me sometime and try to help me out.
