We're still 2 months out. The schedule is nowhere near solid yet. People could drop, games could be rearranged. I think its easier for the schedule to work for runners then the other way around.
World of Illusion is listed as a possible race. Is this still being decided or do you just need confirmation from me that I'm attending (I am)?. I believe Edenal has already confirmed he's attending as well.
Raindropdry: What day are you coming in? I can probably move the game somewhere else, like Monday graveyard, if you need an extra day.
darbian: I'm mostly okay with it being a race as long as you and Edenal are fairly even. Normally I'm not a fan of first-time races but the game is short and there's not a lot to explain because it's a fairly simple platformer.

I'm going to have to pull my submissions. That would be Risk of Rain and Electronic Super Joy. I think Studio will do a good job with Risk of Rain and maybe someone can pick up ESJ.
I want to apologize that part of a private conversation between Mike and me was posted earlier in this thread. While the contents weren't exactly scandalous, it was wrong of me to share that conversation with others, especially when it was out of context like that. It incited quite a bit of salt in the group that really didn't need to exist (I was salty and pretty much just wanted people to agree with me). It didn't really turn into anything this time but this isn't the first time that I've made stupid decisions related to the marathon that led to some form of criticism of Mike or the organization as a whole and I hate that I keep doing it.
-Stelzig can't make it but he said AverageTrey/TreyVG has a better time anyway, and should be coming to AGDQ.
-Mito can't make it, but Atroz showed me proof he's been playing Minish Cap a lot lately, so now he's on the schedule to run it. http://www.twitch.tv/atroz5/b/584315555
-Super Marisa Land moved to Monday night.
-Risk of Rain no longer a race.
-Dime can't make it so TNT: Final Doom is out, along with the Scythe bonus incentive. To make up for the big hole the schedule, I added Marble Blast Ultra back in on Monday right after Super Monkey Ball.
Virtualboyness: Right now it's Oginam doing the glitchless run and Noobest running the any% incentive. I talked to Oginam about it.
Awesome work with the Schedule. I personally have a bit of a dilemma since I land 3-4 PM on Monday, which is riiiiight before when Ducktales 2 race is.
My question is if it's possible to move it later that day(s). Sorry for my late post. Hope we can work it out. As long it is later, we're good.
EDIT: And I have also run this by bangerra, so he is cool with this.
It turns out that MGS2 is out because Brobuzz has to drop, and I need to move Splatterhouse to a later time and date because Zallard isn't coming in until Monday. I also need to consider pushing Yoshi's Island earlier so Carl Sagan can do commentary. I'll rearrange the schedule at some point, but as of right now I have the flu. :-/
dxtr: I can move Duck Tales 2 later, I'd likely move in with the Tuesday morning NES block.
About MGSV (bonus): I'd be most likely running Any% Hard and T3tsuya is committed to No Kills S-Rank for now. But since MGS2 has been dropped, I'm letting you know that I run pretty much every mission in the game and that the Jamais Vu mission could be a nice addition in case you wanted more Metal Gear in the marathon. It's short (6 minutes at most) and features Raiden, which is dramatically different in terms of pacing in this game and would tie in with the Metal Gear Rising run.
I'm not expecting a yes from this, just letting you know this could be a possibility if you need it. Cheers!
The schedule looks awesome! DK: Tropical Freeze, FFVII, Violent Storm, LoZ: OoT and many great games equals cool beans in my book. I'll definitely try to watch the marathon when possible, and while I can't make it to this marathon, I'll definitely try to go to SGDQ this up coming summer.
Is there any update of drops and games getting back in? Currently waiting on if Gunstar is getting back in or not as thats my deciding factor if im travelling across seas to come or not.
Baldur's Gate, Super Turrican, and Metal Gear Solid 2 are dropped because the runners can't make it.
Gunstar Heroes is in (yes this means you will want to come Goldphnx) since that was initially cut because runners couldn't make it.
Splatterhouse and Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti moved to Tuesday graveyard shift/Wednesday early morning.
The one thing I haven't done is readjust the timeslot for YI. I'm asking Carl right now if Thursday would work for him. I could also add a 30-60 minute game from the waitlist, and I'm weighing my options right now. I have no problem with the marathon ending at 12:30 or 1 am.
I will write a post later this week about uncertain roles in certain games (like races and runs that say various) and figuring them out.
Goldphnx: Will you be playing on a genesis or steam version?
The best Mario Kart 8 runner available (who was significantly far ahead of the others who submitted) is no longer attending and has not had time to play for quite a while anyway, so the game was removed. It has been replaced with a DKR 100% race between Toufool and 0xwas.
Battleblock Theater has been moved back a day, before a big indie platformer block. This may seem like a strange switch, but the reason is because the game's narrator can't be in a call the first evening but is available the next day. Trust me, you want the narrator on commentary.
I know some of you are concerned about the Minecraft situation. We talked with the runners last week, and they had a very lengthy practice session where they showed improvement after that (getting a run back down to 1:40). They need to show they are dedicated and continue practicing/improving, but it was a good start. There will be an assessment of their progress at the end of this week, at which time a decision about the schedule will be made.
That's all for now! Let me know if any of these changes conflict with your availability for runs.
