My feelings on The Demon Rush
http://gamesdonequick.com/schedule

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eB4mJA3DV5D_gYAEp2lLMXQqqTZLlQRJDsTQOOoVvR8/pubhtml

Some notes:

-I *think* I didn't miss any games. I kept the copy paste tab in case if there was something that I missed.

-Unfortunately I had to cut some games to accommodate for adding setup in between games. Those games are in the recent rejects tab.

-Also, I made sure to accommodate for availability. There are a couple of runs that I stuck in the first or last day of a person's availability, if that is a problem, then notify me ASAP.

-Some of the bigger races I will decide who is playing by the weekend of November 15th.

-In general the average setup time is about 10 minutes. Even if the runner fires up the game right away with no problems, there's still the host reading comments and plugging the charity, and the person at the tech station switching layouts.

-For games with less setup, for example, PC games (a first I know) and console games with no console or setup switch, then it's generally 5 minutes, except for newer consoles, because they take a longer time to boot up.

-Games with unique setups such as arcade games with Superguns, and large races (3 or 4-way), I put in 15 minutes of setup because they tend to take longer and/or have more technical problems.

-Some setup times don't follow straight 5, 10, or 15 minutes to make sure the times on the schedule are divisible by 5. It just looks nicer that way.

-Bonus games are just that, a bonus. If we're running on time or less than ~40 minutes behind schedule, then the run will be added as an incentive. So far all bonus games at marathons have been met, but if we're really far behind then that might not be the case.

-If (more like when) there are drops, then I probably won't start adding anything until there's over an hour of drops because right now the marathon is ending pretty late at a little past 2 AM.
Thread title:
Just something I noticed after taking a quick glance, but the Monkey Ball games really shouldn't be back-to-back, as there's a large overlap in content since Deluxe has the SMB1 stages.
Figured my submission was cut when you said you were cutting 10 games and 7 hours.

Mind stating your reasoning behind cutting Eternal Daughter, or offering advice on getting the the game into a future GDQ?
Did the guy who will run Rocman X make a video of his PB? His example video was the TAS.

Agree with this

I'm wondering on how the runner will be getting Little Samson?
So Runnerguy is doing Blindfolded Child Dungeons? Or is that a mistake? Seems pretty long for a setup block.

Also, I hope that AGDQ 2015 will be a little less "echo-y" than SGDQ 2014
Not a walrus
That was the fault of the room more than anything and doesn't really have anything to do with the schedule.
Just wanting to ask about Escape Goat 2 since Vulajin is listed as the runner on the schedule, but my PB (current record) is almost a minute faster than his current PB.

I apologize then, also I'm glad that more arcade games are being added into marathons (looking forward to PJ's Battletoads Arcade run Smiley )
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Miles and Fearow/Geoff: That shouldn't be hard to do. I can move Super Monkey Ball around where Crazy Taxi is, which is even more fitting because they're both Sega arcade games.

peter afro: I can ask Yagamoth about it.

Azurinel: I'll send you a PM later.

Derpy: It will be a flashcart, since I don't think anyone wants to pay hundreds (thousand+?) for two Little Samson carts.

StingerPA: That was a mistake, it should be fixed now.

I can understand then, I was just curious was all
ODDWORLD NOOOOOooooooo ;~;

question: is there still going to be the usual mario party / smash bros bonus stream stuff?
So Gunstar got rejected cause its highly unlikely that i will be going. I would like to state that i am indeed going thanks to generous people. However i was unsure until the schedule was put out..... :L

Sad to see Pokemon Blue Catch em All isn't on there. By the way for Red/Blue, the version played is nearly irrelevant (Red is slightly slower due to collecting coins for Abra, unless something has changed very recently), so it's definitely something that there could be a donation war for, but hardly an interesting one.

Very hype for this marathon.

Glad my fanboy lvls aren't THIS high
Just wanted some clarification.  I'm looking at Megaman Unlimited in the schedule, but it hasn't been determined if it is either any%, 100% or if there is a bid war between the two since both were offered.  On behalf of the runner, I would just like to know which it is.
Actually, looking at the schedule, the setup slot labeled "Animal Setup" is between the 3D Sonic Block and the F-Zero block. I kinda doubt that animal crossing, even as a bonus game, would be the best thing to put between sonic and f-zero. Judging from how Pikmin 3 suffered at AGDQ 2014 from being slower paced than the run before it (Viewtiful Joe), Animal Crossing is probably not as fast paced as Sonic nor F-Zero. No idea if the runner has restrictions on dates they can run though.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Hippie: If you mean bonus stream as it previously was, no, because there won't be speedrunning content on there, except for some blind races and a possible bingo.

If you mean smash and mario party, yes, those games will likely be on there again.

Goldphnx: When there are more drops I'll try to add Gunstar then. Marble Blast Ultra is another priority of mine.

Mugutu: Could still be an incentive, I didn't even know there was a difference for the run.

Creed: Incentive for 100% since it's not much longer.
I meant smash and mario party specifically. I need to redeem my honor after last year man.
The Dork Knight himself.
Is Arkham Asylum/City (whichever wins the bid war) going to be a race or just the best runner going to play the game that wins?
The difference is something like 30 seconds, and I'm sure werster and shenanagans have a blue cart to use, and hell I'll bring red. Make that money any way we can
Some of the long blocks look really off putting to me. I'm okay with watching pretty much any game for a while but 4+ hours of the same series which I don't care for... No thanks. The one thing I remember clearly about watching SGDQ was the Mega Man block that felt like it was never going to end and it looks like the block is making a return. I'll watch 1-2 MM runs between other games but 7 in a row is just too much. Same goes for stuff like 4 hours of F-Zero and 4+ hours of 2D Mario.
Ok, thanks Mike.  Is there any reason Escape Goat 2 isn't a race?
