Quote from Laz:

1. "Barkley Shut up and Jam: Gaiden"(PC) [Estimate 1:15:00] - An RPG themed around post-apocalyptic basketball Neo-York. This strange game offers some insane dialogue/effects and from what I can tell it has a large cult following. The game speaks for itself at this point as it's incredibly insane. Most likely 100% since the Any% is far too dangerous for marathon setting due to RNG.

If anything makes it into this marathon I hope it's this. I would even be willing to join in and help "voice" the characters. cause this game is far too entertaining to not be shown to the thousands.
Don't really expect anything to be different this time around, but here goes:
1) FF1 Anniversary - two estimates: If I just do a destructathon, 2:30 estimate, mostly to account for a few donation incentives I'm thinking of. If I decide to throw in a donation incentive to do the Soul of Chaos dungeons, 4 hours tentatively.
2) Dynasty Warriors 4 - One story to be done chosen by donation, though I'll still pick the character in that story. 40 minute estimate.
3) Road Runner's Death Valley Rally - 40 minute estimate. Marathon needs more Looney Tunes action.

My feelings on The Demon Rush
5th page stuff:

lurk:

1. I'm not sure, I don't really know much about this game and I'm having trouble finding people who know it.

2. I feel like the only pixel game that really stands out is Cave Story, going with no.

3. ehhhhh, it's not good enough to stand out, nor is it bad enough to stand out.

4.  I'm aware this game sold pretty well on steam and has a dedicated cult following, but I've heard a speedrun has a ton of waiting and downtime.

5. LOL I've played this game and yeah it sucks.

Vucious Creed: It seemed like RKS: Freudenstachel did okay but nothing stellar, gonna say take a break on it.

my post: Hello me.

Countdown42:

Mega Man Unlimited: I'm aware a lot of people like this game a lot,

Kirby Super Star: I will need proof of your 0xwas plasma. The reason why this game hasn't been run recently is because 0xwas has put such a beating on it, it's hard for someone to follow that act.

Tiny Toon Adventures: but this game isn't really awful, it's merely pretty good. I like it, but I'm not really convinced it's a great speedrun.

Super C: I was wondering what to do with Contra because it's never got a great response, but we haven't done co-op super c before, and I'd say it's worth trying.

Cereth:

1. It's already been offered before, but with all of the skips in it now, it might be worth having for a marathon now.

3 and 4. I mentioned why no ffvii and ffx in previous posts.

5. Unless if you can match up to the people better than you, then no. Also, 96 exit might not even be played at AGDQ.

darkblueszx:

1. already said no to satoryu.

2. Honestly I think the original Kirby Super Star would be a bigger

Footbigmike:

Sonic CD: Sonic versus Tails might be worth pursuing, on the list for now.

Future Cop: LAPD: Well it's already on the list and you're the original guy who ran it, so I'm tempted to give

Bomberman 64: Didn't really get a great response AGDQ 2012 despite the game having some cool bomb jump tricks. Not really seeing it.

xcd:

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: This game is definitely awful. On the list for AwfulGDQ

Red Faction: We have some really strong FPSes lined up already so I'm going to have to side with no.

Blob: uhhh maybe a race donation incentive after we do the game once? Not sure. Definitely worth doing the glitched run once though, because it's hilarious.

Ineb:

1. Jadin really crushed this game at SGDQ, and while I'm not saying whoever is running this game has to do as well as Jadin, but we want someone to be capable a time no more than a couple of minutes away and sub-1:30.

2.This game is short fun, and has some nice, tight gameplay. Probably worth doing. Adding it to the list.

3. Conker's Bad Fur DAy is the Conker's game eveyrone remembers. Gonna have to reject.

Vulajin:

Dust: This game does have some broken glitches, but it's not exactly well-known or out there. Going with no.

Bastion: Already accepted. Who runs it is up to who is best.

NSMB 2: The NSMB runs we had got a decent response and nothing great, and the 3DS Mario we had entertained some people but didn't get an overwhelming response either.

CrimsonPhoenix:

1. I feel like Catherine is fast-paced but gets to be samey, which is not good for 2 hour game.

2. The FFXIII games have very mixed reactions and AFAIK, not a ton of donation incentives.

3. I hear this game has some really busted skips and some cool glitches, might be worth trying. Putting it on the list.

4. No.

Venick409:

1. Yes it did get a good response, but at the same time, if we replay it too many times, the joke gets old.

2. I don't feel like Croc has a big audience working for it. I'm sure it's broken, but

3. Maybe this game could work for awful games? Do you have a video I could watch? IIRC this is the game where sonic can't jump right?

tminator64: HENSHIN A GO-GO BABY!

ahuynh: I want to consider this, but my biggest fear is that this category might be marathon unsafe.

Puwexil:

1. Already mentioned why I'm not having FFVII this year.

2. Hmmm, it might be worth doing this game, could possibly fit in a wtf japan block or as a bonus game.

Feasel:

GTA1: I know some people like this game, but I don't see the audience being as strong as the 3-d gtas

Tomb Raider 2: I think this might be worth considering. I'll add it for now.

FF1: I'm aware FF1 is definitely getting more popular on your stream, but that sounds like a lot of theorycrafting to me. Also, I think we have stronger RPGs offered already.

Dowolf: I love the HMH games, but I think they're too hard for people to follow. The couple of times I've streamed them, people have been really confused.

oozaroo:

Tomb Raider 2013: I've been hearing good things about this game, both in general and the skips speedrunning it.

2. RE5 is not exactly the most-liked in the RE series and didn't get a great response when we last ran it at a marathon.

Video2gud: I really don't think all event matches is a good idea or one of the melee players (of which we have many in the speedrunning community) would have suggested it already.

aneeslol:

1. Pokemon TCG - It's Pokemon, but at the same time, it'll be hard for people who never played the card game to keep track of what's going on.

2. Jet Set Radio HD - Yeah, the problem is I don't see a whole lot new being offered for this game.

AxelRyman:

1. I understand that Mega Man Legends games are fun to play, but they don't strike me as a great watch.

2 and 3. I'm not really sold on these games. They are some of the better Touhou doujins, but they don't appear to be well-known either.

Sonikkustar:

GH: Explained this to Reed but this game is very repetitive.

Metal Slug games: ehhh, I'm not sold we need Metal Slug in a marathon, there hasn't been a lot of demand for the games since they've been played at a marathon. Also, If I wanted Metal Slug 3 in a marathon, I would have offered myself. Tongue

CVagts: Suikoden is a fairly popular PS-era RPG, but at the same time, there are many of those, and we have a pretty strong RPG line up already.

Same case with Suikoden II.

3. This game is barely known and wouldn't register with people.

ewaller:

1 and 2. This is a large time investment for a game that's relatively new and doesn't have the viewership that other mario games have.

3. This is a really fun game, but it's super obscure.

1. Fluidity (Wii) any% [Estimate 2:00:00 h:mm:ss] I ran this for bonus stream this year and for Seamergency. It is a motion controlled platformer where you control a puddle of water defeating inky blobs and rescuing rainbow drops. It has some fairly fun techniques and tricks that speed it up and solve puzzles in unintentional ways. And puns. Could be part of an Aquatic Games Done Quick block.
Bert = Too Stronk
Ok I'm gonna try again with posting (if the original post shows up feel free to yell at me) This will be my first AGDQ so I'm hoping to try and help by offering my best game.

www.twitch.tv/Greenk4

Gungrave (PS2) Estimate: 45 minutes (this INCLUDES Setup, without setup its 40 minutes). Fast Paced shooter, very little RNG and pretty much all execution with tons of explosions and interesting/backup strats. It has been well received in both the Sandython and Happy Tails Marathon (will also be at LWBaThon). Only incentive would be all boss overkills (no chance of WR with that but still falls within my estimates).

And just in case if you wanted to know the WR is 35:09 by me

My Offer for AGDQ

Twitch.tv/lukehhhh

I'm Luke from Australia. It turns out my already organised overseas trip to the states will be in Washington DC the same days as agdq is on. So it would be awesome to just attend but running a game would be icing on the cake.

1. Luigi's Mansion (Glitched ANY%) [Estimate 15:00] - A very interesting,  entertaining and skillful run with alot of gamebreaking glitches. Currently I hold the WR for this category with a 09:27, 20 seconds faster then anyone else in this category. Could be used as a donation insentive run. The you tube video starts at when the glitched occurs and lasts 1 minute, this is just here for reference if you haven't seen a glitched run before

Either way I would love to attend to help raise money for a cause very close to my heart.
My twitch page: www.twitch.tv/techiyo

I can only offer one game, so there it is!

1. Donkey Kong Country 2 102% - (estimate 1:50:00) I don't think a 102% run has ever been done at AGDQ before, so I thought this could be a nice change there. I stand at 1:37:10 as of this writing and I usually get around 1:37:xx-1:40:xx.
B+Left, Left, Up+B, ★
My stream: http://www.twitch.tv/zallard1

1. Super Punch Out (any%) [Estimate 0:30:00] - When done correctly, fights will last less than 20 seconds. There's also been alot of neat tech that I applied to this game that helps consistency. I can also offer a blindfolded incentive for the game.

2. Doc Louis's Punch Out [Estimate 0:10:00] -  A very short game with 3 fights against Doc Louis. Despite its length, there are actually sequence breaks (!) in the game.

3. Punch Out for Wii (full game run) [Estimate 2:00:00] - PO Wii has an incredibly wide variety of strategies to defeat every boxer fast. I can offer blindfolded as a donation incentive, along with Donkey Kong as a bonus fight.

4. Star Fox 64 (high score run) [Estimate 1:10:00] - High score in SF64 has alot of extra mechanics and even flashy glitches that aid in racking up points. The game also has alot of paths, which makes for several possible donation incentives.

5. Arcade Splatterhouse [Estimate 0:20:00] - This is a 2D beat em up with alot of unique boss strategies. It's a fairly short game, plus if Funkdoc and/or Greenk4 are going and are up to it, they can either provide extra commentary, or even race this with me.
My twitch channel is: twitch.tv/stivitybobo

I'd like to offer Banjo-Kazooie 100% for this year. The time estimate would be about 2:30:00. Fun run that I think many people would enjoy.

1. Super Meat Boy(Any%)(X-Box LA) - 30 minutes - I know breakdown already ask for 100% but I though that any could be interresting since it's the only category who haven't been run in a marathon, I always been pretty good at this game and I used to have the seconds best time on this, so I'm confident that this run would be close to perfect(the estimate is high but meh, it's marathon safety)

2. Amnesia The Dark Descend(100%)(PC) - 1h15 minutes - since the last year amnesia run was greatly appreciated, I though I could chip in that one, this category is very interresting since you have to get in every corner of the game and since the game is broken as ****, it's actually interresting to see someone breaking through the whole game and I'm pretty good at this game.

3. Lost Kingdom 2(any%)(Gamecube) - 40 minutes - this is a pretty obscure game but I think it could be interresting since the pace is from medium to high, it have a lot of luck involved and it could fill a spot in the graveyard shift imo.

4. Tales of symphonia(any% NG+)(Gamecube) - 8h - probably won't get accepted, but it's a fairly popular game from the franchise and I'm good at it so why not trying for a second time to ask this game Tongue !
Hello there, I figure I should give this a shot.

My stream is Twitch.tv/WompsPM

The that I can offer are:

1. Neugier: Umi to Kaze Kodo (Any%) [Estimate 28:00] - This is a quick SNES run game that easy to commentate and very basic for viewers to watch, there are only a few parts that are super challenging, but with new routes that I have been working on, it should be an easy run and if a mistake happens, it's more humorous than it is frustrating (Aka jump fails).

2. Super Mario Kart All Cups (Any%) [Estimate 30:00] - Possible fan service game? I have been practicing and 30 minutes is just an overshoot estimate and is a possible donation incentive to choose the character that is going to be played. Would prefer DK JR but it is possible to do with others.

3. The Binding of Isaac (Possible race to It Lives. if there are other players) [Estimate 30:00] - Another donation incentive game could be based upon which character all of us choose.

4. Jet Set Radio HD (Any%) [Estimate 1:00] - One of the games I have been trying to cut down lots of time on and trying to find a new route to save time. Have routes for all characters in progress and could be a donation based games to choose who to main the run as. (Including bonus characters)
sinister1
so pro u don't even know
Sinisterwon on TwitchTV

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (blindfolded) [01:30:00] - The high estimate is to account for a deep run which is highly likely this year. I plan on actually practicing this category for real, not just winging it like I have in the past. Donation incentive for game genie black out code vs. Tyson (I can get him consistently Mike).

Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers (co-op w/Feasel) [0:20:00] - Looks like it will be a race against Cyg and Blechy. Feasel and I had planned this at SGDQ. Game is short, fast paced, and should make for an excellent race.

Ninja Gaiden (pacifist) [0:25:00] - Donation incentive to race with Dxtr. He suggested it, and pacifist was very well received last AGDQ. Fun fact: It is quite a bit harder to get God Hammered in pacifist than any%.

Ninja Gaiden II (any% race vs. Duckfist) [0:25:00] - I think this would make for a better donation choice than just plain any%. Would defer to Arcus if he comes.

The Simpsons: Bart vs. The Space Mutants [0:25:00] - This would be for AwfulGDQ. A brutal platformer for the NES in which jump and run are the same button. Known for its insane difficulty, horrid controls, and of course the popular franchise it comes from. If TheMexicanRunner comes, I would defer to him on this or make it a race if I could get on his level.

@dxtr: I am not racing you in Batman, I will gladly commentate from the couch Cheesy

Hi everyone. I'm Striker.  www.twitch.tv/strikerrrrr

I would like to submit the Super Star Wars trilogy for the SNES. The games are:

Super Star Wars [Estimate: 35 min]
Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back [Estimate: 45 min]
Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi [Estimate: 35 min]

I've been running these games for the past several months, and the times have really been cut down with some good competition and work put in from Jadin, Edenal, and Tompa. The games feature a lot of good execution with some cool tricks and clips included. Ideally, I think it would be really cool to do a "Trilogy Run" of these games (completing them back to back). [Estimate: 2 hours]

I'm happy to answer any other questions if need be, so feel free to ask.

hi i have a game

Super Meat Boy - PC
you may have heard of it!
any%: Record is 18:39, I have 19:34 and will improve a lot (expecting at minimum sub-19 before agdq).  Down to race w/ imysty.  Because larry exists a race can't be the most serious thing, but it would be fun.  if i were to do a run /right now/ I can practically guarantee it'd be sub-22 even if everything went wrong.  estimate 30 minutes for setup.
best ending: Been doing some routing on the side.  No completed runs yet (haven't finished routing), but it'd be a really cool run.  A lot of dark world levels are harder/more impressive with meat boy.  Sub-40 would probably be a good time, estimating 50 minutes.
possible donation incentives: category choice, omega skip

(I haven't messed with 106% much, if you want it give it to someone else (i.e. breakdown))

I know I've had some sketchy runs in the past (my play during the rka race last year was really disappointing to me), but I'm going to completely destroy this game.

finally: kabuki HYPE
Hello my friends, I'm Goose from Canada.

http://twitch.tv/rwhitegoose

I am offering these games

1. GoldenEye 007 (N64)

Agent [EST 25:00] - Fast paced, exciting, would work well as a race with 2-3 other eliters.  Short and sweet, viewers can relate as they've all played this and speedrun it for cheats.  I could also do the 2.X run with BassBoost (this would take longer.)

00 Agent [EST 50:00] - Same as Agent but harder.  Could work as a race as well.

100% [EST 1:20:00] - Same as 00 Agent but harder.  Could work as a race as well.

All 60 [EST 2:00:00] - Hardest and longest rendition of the game.

Overall, GoldenEye 007 is a great game which I think almost every person with an N64 has played, and I think it's the first exposure most people had to speedrunning, going for the cheats back in 1997.  A true staple of the speedrunning community.

2. Mario Golf (N64)

All Cups [EST 1:10:00] - Play speedgolf on all 6 courses.  Super exciting and fast paced.  I'm by far the best in the world at Mario Golf speedgolf and this is a very entertaining run.  Easy for viewers to relate.  (Get the ball in the hole as fast as you can x 108 holes!)

Any single of the 6 courses [EST 12:00] - I could also just play 1 course (possibly donation incentive to choose) and would likely have a shot at bettering one of my WRs.

3. Perfect Dark (N64)

Agent [EST 40:00] - Similar to Goldeneye.  Would work well as a race if other eliters are present.  I think BigBossman007 wants to play Perfect Agent (which is better than my Agent) so this could perhaps be a donation incentive.

Overall I'm a very entertaining, informative, kind hearted individual.  My voice is up there with Golden's and I would definitely offer to do long sessions of donation comments as I am pursuing a career in radio & broadcasting.

Cheers.
www.twitch.tv/prslol

1.Donkey Kong Country - any% all stages - [estimate 45:00] - Willing to do a race in any all stages, 7%, or old summon. A lot of very good runners from this game are coming so a big race would be really cool if possible. If it's preferred to do a solo run I yield to Reflected, Garrison, Hippie. I'd be willing to do the 7% run if we make that a donation incentive.

2.Jungle Book SNES - any% - [estimate 45:00] - A difficult game me and a few other runners from DKC have picked up recently. Were the first ones to seriously run the game and we've already come up with a lot of good and challenging skips.

thanks
SDA Represent!
Yo, what's good?

I would like to offer these games to run:

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (Any%) (1:10)
This is a fun game, and was also at AGDQ 2012. There could be a donation for a shirtless with bandana incentive if that would help. This is much faster than the original so it may help with time.

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (Any%) (1:05)
This has never been at a marathon before, and really is a great game, and also challenging. Again, there could be a shirtless incentive for the run. This game has some interesting mechanics and would be fun to show off.

Mega Man X (Any/100%) (40:00)
I'm good as fuck at Mega Man X.

Mega Man X2 (Any%) (40:00)
As of now, I do want to run this game, but it honestly depends on how much time I have to play with it between now and the marathon. Right now, we'll say 60% chance.

1. Super Metroid (any%) [Estimate 1:00:00] - I have been grinding this game like hell over the last five months and have become one of the best in the category. There has been a discussion of a four-way race. It would allow players to show off riskier strats not likely see during a normal marathon run.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Lurk: I finally got someone who knew something about Vampire to respond. It sounds like a good cult classic game so I'll put it on for now.

Venick: I looked at Sonic Labyrinth. Wow the game looks bad, in a kinda janky funny way. In awfulgdq for now.

Page 6 stuff:

Hachrt: YS games are fun cult games, but they don't have a a big western audience.

UltraJMan:

1. There's going to be a ton of people on this game, so we'll just see how this works out a couple of weeks to a month from now.

2. This is definitely a weird game that could qualifies for awful games done quick.

3. Maybe for bonus stream? Not for the main marathon though.

Ubergoose: You're already down for Borderlands 2.

No Time to Explain isn't really awful, it's pretty good with a some wasted potential. :-/

iMysty:

1. You're already in.

2. Definitely worth considering since any% hasn't been done in a while, and there's been a lot of crazy stuff found between JRDQ and today.

Kuribon:

Mega Man Zero: After some consideration, I think it's better that you handle this because all missions is probably a more entertaining category to watch than hard S-rank. I think I'll still play hard S-rank for fun since I put the time in it. Smiley

Zero 3: Hell yeah.

romscout:

1. Already added this for now, might be a bonus game instead, not sure.

2. already on

3. Agreed, great WTF Japan game.

4. If I cut SOTN from a schedule then people complain.

5. It did do well at SGDQ, but I think it's time to give other CV games a chance.

Gamingnerd:

Fatal Frame 2: I'm not sure

Catherine: I already explained why I rejected this game in my last post.

Electronic Super Joy: I'm not sure? Never heard of it and I don't know what it's about.

Suidt: I'll get back to you on a race.

I'm not sure about new super luigi u. We already have a ton of great mario games being offered.

Peanutphobia:

Moltov: I'll consider it.

CGN:

F-Zero GX by you, Kreygasm. Huh, I didn't know that you thought Story mode was the better watch over Grand Prix. Anyway, since that's your preference, I'll put you down for Story mode.

F-Zero X: I didn't know you played this game too. How do you compare to WMJ?

OptimusPriNe: This was actually run at SGDQ 2012, and seawolf1 did a good job. Honestly, this isn't a very strong castlevania game so I'm gonna have to say no.

Geurge:

Crusader of Centy: Heard this is a great game, but it's just not very well-known.

Oni: I've heard of this game a bit. I know it's an old pre-Halo bungie game, but this game seems to be mostly maligned for its awkward controls.

Loaded: I've played through this game, it's fun, but it's nothing like Hotline Miami. The pacing is slower and it gets repetitive shooting everything. No.

Flare:

1. I feel like the stadium games aren't as much of a draw as the handheld pokemon games.

2. I've heard this game is cool, but it's sadly mostly forgotten.

3. Eh I don't know. You can't just claim something is Die Hard tier, you just have to experience it.

Branch: Already denied on Hachrt's side, sorry.

Paradox Karl:

1. At the same time can we match the SGDQ hype? I'd say it's still worth considering the game, put it on the list.

2. Could you possibly do 0 star instead? I feel like if we're going to do a super short category for SM64, it should at least be the most busted one.

3. This game isn't really awful, just not really mario 64.

CavemanDCJ:

1. Oh man, the voice acting in this game is so hilaribad, but I don't think

2. Yeah I think if I were to take a Tomba game, it would be the first game because I feel it's the stronger game (not to say that Tomba 1 is guaranteed).

3 and 4. Ratchet and Clank had decent responses at previous AGDQs, but nothing astounding. They do have nice tricks, but I think I will have to say no.

5. Maybe as a bonus game? Added it there for now.

Pykn:

1. This game does have some glitches and has a cult following, but I'm not really confident about it. Going to side on no.

2. Yeah sorry, if I denied everyone else on this, I gotta deny you too.

3. Sounds cool, I know a lot of progress has been made on this since it was last run at agdq 2012

Stormknight:

Prototype is a good game, but I don't think it's really maintained popularity since it was first released, also aside from the movement I don't think this game has a lot going for it.

ShadowWraith:

Doom 2 would be really cool, especially co-op.

Unreal I don't feel has aged as well in the eyes of everyone as doom, quake, and valve games.

SS: The first encounter: What difficulty? We did 2nd encounter last AGDQ and as long as if it's not AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH for 10 minutes we should be okay.

Barbarossa89:

1. I'll do a bid war on campaign right now, but I might have to scale it down to scenario, depending on how crammed things get. I'm aware AoE2 was pretty popular back in the day.

2. We ran this game at AGDQ 2012, it got an okay response.

3. Really fun game, but can't really see it being in the marathon.

4. I think the setup for this game would take longer than the actual game itself. That alone makes me not want to have it.

devteam: I think I skipped over Katamari runs from the last one or two people who offered by accident.

Anyway,

Maybe Katamari games are a good idea? I'll add one to the list and we'll see how it fares second round.

TOTOzigemm:

1. Hmmm, I don't know, I guess it's whether you prefer this one or 3 for the any%

2. It sounds like you prefer this one over 2 for any%, but I'll let you pick.

3. Huh, it might be worth it to bring back a Crash game now. I'll put this on the list for now.

Wafflesuccker: Okay we'll figure out who would be be for Pikmin 3, you or miles.

Sinnoh: Ditto, but you and TheOnlyOne instead.

Mike, I'm sorry if this is more effort, but could you at least put the title of the game when you respond? It's really hard to follow what you're saying, especially if you miss someone by accident.
My feelings on The Demon Rush
I can do that marche.
Heya. http://twitch.tv/usedpizza here.

Mega Man 9 - This has only ever been done buster-only and not since SGDQ 2012. I think doing a run with real-time strats would be cool, people like the game (and music) a lot. Estimate: 40:00
Stream: www.twitch.tv/icedwindowsil

Game: SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy Seals
Estimated finish time of 1:40
Catagory: Any%
I am currently the world record holder of this game with a 1:32:32.

This game offers Filename incentive.

Been speedrunning for 2 years and this would be my first AGDQ attendance.

I have the potential to get world record at the marathon due to the fact that there is some rng in the game which always adds to some fun and interesting situations.

I believe there have not been enough of these types of games in the past and I would like to offer my game as a change of pace for those interested in such games. The SOCOM community has a large base of people that miss this game dearly myself included.

Revising my estimate on Mario Kart 64 to 50:00.  Apparently my old PB was either horribly unoptimized or had more chokes than I thought.  If the race won't work out firedragon764 can run it.
