Gets the cake.
Going to keep this short.

Twitch channel: http://www.twitch.tv/z1mb0bw4y but I don't stream due to crap internet. I can upload practice progress to youtube as an alternative.

Portal - 20mins, for either category and including setup - I won't pretend that I'm the best runner in this game anymore, but I'm certainly not incapable of putting up a good time. If this doesn't make the cut, I won't be offended, and I'd still like to attend (space permitting). Donation incentive can be OoB vs inbounds, possibly getting to the cake (Or I can come up with something new). If you don't want it in the main schedule I can play it for bonus stream or if we get 15 mins ahead of schedule. Also down to race this.

Nightsky - I'm expecting ZFG to propose this one (and he maybe already did, but the forums are pretty dead right now), since he made the game "popular". It's a very calming "puzzle platformer" in which you play a glass ball, and it has a few interesting tricks you can do with the physics. It's gotten a lot more popular recently, and the estimate is coming down quickly. If ZFG wants to run this, he could have it over me, unless he'd be up for a race. This would be great during a late shift, like Dustforce at SGDQ. (edit - just read where you told ZFG no. Sorry I didn't read through ahead of time =/)

Feel free to shoot both of these down, I'd still love to come and hang out =D

EDIT - Azorae appears to want to come, and he's awesome at portal 1. If you're not opposed, we'd be down for a race. If you're opposed to a race, I'd rather just forfeit the game to him, because he's really solid at the game.

Paper Mario Any% Race ( 2:45:00) N64
Talked with AnatomyZ about this. If a race can’t happen I’ll defer to him. But Completely different route than All Cards + more skips. He runs on VC, I run on n64. Creates a great opportunity for Bidding War to decide best system. He’s from Canada, I’m from the U.S. Hype Race

Super Mario Galaxy 2 (3:45) Wii
I’ll defer this one to Yoshifan if he goes. If he can’t make it for some reason, I’d love to run this in his place. PB’s are less than 2 minutes apart, and we’re both rusty. Would be down to race, but it’s a longer game.

Indiana Jones’  Greatest Adventures (SNES) Race w/ Jorf (1:30:0) Super Super Safe Estimate, will go down a lot)
Hidden Gem In my opinion. Super Castlevania 4 meets Super Star Wars. Difficult platformer and a lot of donation incentives. Bidding War For Difficulty, Incentive for Cut Scenes. Donation Incentive to Dress up like Indiana Jones (Old Halloween Costume) Donation to Sing/Hum the Theme at the Credits
Hello, I'm here to offer my participation in some speed games.

Twitch is http://www.twitch.tv/garrison_tt

1. Super Metroid (any%) [estimate 1:00:00] I did the run last year, but a lot has changed in terms of both players and the run itself. The bar has been pushed higher and the players have gotten better. It would be awesome to see SM represented with a 2-4 person race as SM hasn't had a race since the first SGDQ. Although from a tech perspective, it's kind of a nightmare, having more players is great for a race because it means flashier play, riskier strats, and plenty of hype. I know as of this post, Zoast, ivan, krauser, and msds are also considering going, all of them are just as deserving of the run as I am, if not more.

2. Donkey Kong Country (Any% All Stages) [estimate 45:00] This is the second game I've ever taken really seriously. I love every bit of it and it would be an honor to play  it at the marathon. I currently have the WR in this category and plan on improving it further later on this year. My good friends Reflected and mundungu have mentioned that they were interested and it would be cool if it were a race just to lower the stress level of the run. NewAgeRetroHippie has also expressed interest in running this game, only solo and a different category (101%). I would be willing to have the decision up to a donation war.

3. Donald Land (any%) [estimate 30:00][AWFUL GAME] This game is a an action platformer that contains the following: grenade jumping, awful hitboxes, silly looking enemies, a water level where you move by mashing A as fast as you possibly can, completely broken scrolling, and an awesome late 1980s McDonalds theme. Despite being a very questionable game and of iffy quality, the run itself is extremely technical with various way to impact your movement and crazy strategies to move so fast you break the scrolling of the game. As this game is somewhat unknown, I do have a video of my run This game is epic and I think it could be a hit for Awful Games.

4. Streemerz (any% or 16 bags of cash) [estimate 10:00] If I recall, ineb was interested in doing this as a race and we both formerly held the record for it. A new TAS just came out with all kinds of neat tricks that were otherwise unknown. Pretty low priority and I'll definitely yield to ineb if he wants to fly solo.

Thanks for your time and all that you do for the marathon.
http://www.twitch.tv/jeffrosledger

1. Super Mario Bros. 2 USA (All-Stars) (All levels) [Estimate 30:01] - I have world record in this game. The SNES version gives you more lives, so it's more marathon safe.

2. Ganbare Goemon 3 (SNES) (Any%) [Estimate 1:35:02] - The action-adventure style iteration of SNES Goemon. The Goemon series is very popular in Japan, but I understand it could be too obscure for a marathon here in America.
If you're not familiar, the run follows the general route taken here:

3. Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Dōchū (SNES) (Any%) [Estimate 1:15:07] - The last SNES Goemon, regarded as the best of the four. The style is more similar to Legend of the Mystical Ninja than Goemon 3. I find it less interesting of a run than Goemon 3.

4. Super Bonk (SNES) (All Levels) [Estimate 40:00] - Offering just for some Bonk representation. I don't think any Bonk games are as interesting to run as the original Bonk's Adventure, but I know this series as its fans.

5. Super Bonk 2 (SNES) (Any%) [Estimate 45:00] - Same as Super Bonk but a more fast paced run.

Saints Row The Third (PC [with controller just to piss PC gamers off]) - Casual difficulty, 5 and a half hours for either single ending, 6 for both.  Can be bothered to do other difficulties.  Has 7 options for MC voice and several radio stations including an Adult Swim-themed station.  That's a thing, right?  Also has a few "A or B" choices that don't affect time too heavily.
Cat gets money
Not sure if you take brand new members into consideration, but here we go...

My Stream - n/a

1. Toy Story (Gens) [Estimate 25:00] - Pretty difficult Disney game that is fun to run, my best time sub 22 minutes. There should be some tense moments since, while I start on 5 lives, I end the game with one hit away from a game over on most attempts. Plus, I have a special donation prize if this gets accepted.

2. Earthworm Jim 2 (Gens) (Any%) [Estimate 35:00] - Hasn't been ran since Summer Games in 2012 and deserves another showing. The time from then is 35:52, my record time is sub 30 minutes. There are many tricks and skips that I have discovered that have not seen the light of day and I wish to unveil them at AGDQ '14. There are times where it'll be boring due to the Puppy Love levels, so not sure if that will be a deal breaker.

3. Yoshi's Island (Snes) (Glitched) [Estimate 10:00] - This run is using the old coin warp glitch by pressing left+right on the overworld map. My best time is sub 8 minutes, and can be improved by quite a bit with more practice. Although it's pretty straight-forward, this has the potential to go over estimate due to a soft lock, if you press left+right for longer than needed or more than once.

I'd like to offer the following games:

1. Donkey Kong Country (Any% All Stages) [Estimate: 0:45:00]: This game has currently been my focus for the past few months with some new technology/better routing since the last appearence at a GDQ. I would love to race Garrison/Mundungu (and anyone else whos interested) in this category.

2. Donkey Kong Country 2 (Any%) [Estimate 0:50:00]: My original primary speedgame which I've been playing for almost 2 years now. This is my favorite speedgame by far and I love every aspect about it (great game play forever). If multiple people are interested in running it, I don't mind turning it into a huge race (theJUICE/DBJ/Twig/RPC/Newpants/Others?)

Thanks for the consideration.
just some nerd
Hello!  I included my PB times because I'm not sure if I'm overestimating.

My twitch page is www.twitch.tv/mr_weables

1. Amnesia: The Dark Descent (any%) [Estimate 0:45:00] - I hold the record in this at 26:44, plus about 5 minutes of load time.  With the sequel in late stage development, this'll probably be pretty relevant.  Potential incentive to save Agrippa (adds about 5 minutes).

2. Amnesia: Justine (any%) [Estimate 0:10:00] - I've got this record at 3:44, with about 30 seconds of load time.  Could just have this one be an incentive.

3. Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale (any%) [Worst Case Estimate 1:50:00] - I worked my best down to 1:22:34.  May be a bit of a niche game, but it's very unique and super adorable.  Estimate will probably go down.

Thanks!
Katamari Damacy (any%) (Estimate 40:00)
The run is very safe in terms of consistency. I'm usually really focused while playing so I'm bad at self-commentating but it's something I could work on. I don't know how feasible or desirable a controller-cam is but that could be a donation incentive. The game's gotten a lot faster since the last run at a marathon and I think that it might be cool to showcase its speed. Here's the last stage from the WR as an example of my gameplay: http://www.twitch.tv/doughyguy92/c/1874351?t=26m28s

1. Ghouls 'n Ghosts (Genesis) (Professional Mode) [Estimate 25:00] - If PJ is planning to run Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts again, this could definitely be paired with it. This is a standard playthrough (which means playing through the game twice with small differences on the second pass) where absolutely anything can happen (though I'm good enough to deal with all of it). Possibly donation incentives are showing off a rather bizarre enemy glitch, or possibly doing a torch only run.

2. Devil May Cry 1 (360 HD Edition) (Normal New Game Any%) [Estimate 1:10:00] - Another block rounder or just a standalone, current time is around 56 minutes but I've recently started to learn a bunch of new strats and routing that should be able to get this down to sub 50 (being helped by bassomegax who submitted a 46 minute run to SDA recently). Ideas for donation incentives include letting the "Dark Soul with Light" cutscene play, fighting DMD bosses after the run (including Mundus with two players on one controller), or just finishing playng the final mission on DMD for the easter egg.
stream - http://www.twitch.tv/thejuuuice

-Donkey Kong Country 2 Any% [Estimate 45:00 + setup]: Im gonna offer to race any% with Reflected, Twig, or any other people that would be interested in it. The tech and strats have significantly improved in the western scene since the last GDQ that had dkc2  so it would be an enjoyable watch. If a race isn't an option for whatever reason I'll yield to Reflected.
http://www.twitch.tv/caneofpacci

1. Crash Bandicoot (PSX) (100%) [Estimate 1:30:00] - Yep. Possible donation incentive: bidding war on which version I run (NTSC-U vrs NTSC-J).

2. Frogger (PSX) aka Frogger: He's Back! (Any%) [Estimate 20:00] - This is a fast past Frogger title released on PS1. It has good music and well constructed level designs that make it both good to run as well as watch. This game was rather notorious for its difficulty; combine that with the large audience that this game was received by, I think it will be will received by viewers.
My twitch stream: twitch.tv/mashystrr

1) Rocket: Robot on Wheels (N64) - very underrated platformer similar to Banjo-Kazooie and has a bunch of small tricks and time savers everywhere

* any% [Estimate - 1:30:00]
* 100% [Estimate - 2:15:00]

I really don't care which category is picked. Any% has some interesting routes whereas 100% shows off some of the cool areas that get skipped in any%.

2) DuckTales: Remastered (PC) - New and seems to attract a lot of interest when I stream it

* Easy [Estimate - 1:00:00] - I could also try learning some of the harder difficulties as a donation incentive

3) DuckTales (NES) - if for whatever reason you don't want to put remastered in, I can play the original

* Easy [Estimate - 0:15:00] - Again, I can try learning Difficult as a donation incentive

Hi! I'd like to offer the following:

1. Banjo-Kazooie (100%) [Estimate: 2:45:00] - My main speedgame, awesome 3D platformer. I Currently have a 2:33, I can likely work it down to a low 2:2X by the end of the year. I'm almost sure stivitybobo will be attending the marathon, and if so he should definitely run it instead. But I'll offer this just in case. Edit: talked to stiv and he's definitely coming. Would love to commentate his run if it gets in, as I've put a lot of time into this game.

2. Paper Mario (Any%) [Estimate: 3:00:00] - really cool and entertaining category with tons of crazy skips. A few runners are interested in running this, and I'd be super excited to participate in a race if that happens. If it can't, I'll yield this to the best player if he attends (anatomyz).

3. Sonic Advance (Beat the Game as Tails) [Estimate: 00:25:00] - fantastic yet underrated 2D Sonic game that I've recently picked up and having a lot of fun with. It would be cool to have some handheld Sonic action at this marathon since it isn't so common. I chose Tails since he is the most fun character to watch.
Hi everyone, I would like to suggest the following games.

My Twitch page: http://twitch.tv/gamesforcharity

Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories - [1:15:00] - This game was made before the card game so the nasty confusing rules do not apply. Large nostalgia with this game. The estimate is relevant for the category of NG+ or Beat World Tournament (a big portion of game, 1 hour would be good)

Chocobo Dungeon 2 - [3:00:00] A great RPG game for the PSX. I was trained to run this game by the current WR holder who cannot attend. The game has randomly generated floors (levels in dungeons) but the estimate is for worst case. A great marathon selection for a hidden gem.

Each are for PSX and I could provide the system if needed. Also, for Yu-Gi-Oh, there's some good stuff that can go in the bonus stream if World Tournament is done. I could save the file and complete the game on stream for bonus. Any questions feel free to ask.

Hi, I don't stream yet but hopefully you'll consider me, I work hard on my speedruns.

1. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic [Estimate 2:00:00] - First person action-RPG with a lot of silly glitches (throw barrels & arrows to teleport through doors) and cool combat. Estimate is conservative because glitches are inconsistent with hilarious results if failed. My new route might set a WR.

To give you an idea (multi segment, not RTA route because glitches)

2. Dark [Estimate 3:30:00] - For the awfulGDQ block. Vampire stealth-RPG with hilariously bad voice acting and dumb AI. It's a poor man's Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. As of now there aren't any huge skips but I am currently improving the run, the game is new.

I can commentate while playing the games.
waifus are laifu
Stream channel: http://www.twitch.tv/kariohki

Silhouette Mirage [US PS1, Estimate: 55:00] – Fast-paced, crazy, nose-tastic Treasure game shown at bonus streams and Sandython with good reception. Donation incentives could be for fighting the optional reaper boss, and for which final boss I fight.
Obscure games ftw
My twitch account: twitch.tv/IhavenonameSDA

1. Ape Escape (PS1) (any% 1:05:00/any% no IJ 1:15:00)
Ape Escape is an action packed run full of tricks.  The any% run last AGDQ was a huge success, but I'm pretty sure I can top it.  If you don't want an exact repeat, I can instead run any% no IJ (infinite jump) which still has a lot of neat tricks-especially abusing the scenery.

2. Touhou 12.5: Double Spoiler (PC) (any% 1:00:00)
Touhou has had a strong showing in each _GDQ lately, and I think an official game would do well. Double Spoiler has your typical Touhou bullet dodging and a puzzling aspect, and speed is a non-trivial goal.  Any% does 67/108 scenes, showing off a lot of the game.

3. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2) (100% 2:45:00)
Jak and Daxter is similar to Spyro 2 100% from last SGDQ in that the 100% involves collecting every power cell and the smaller orbs scattered throughout the world. The main 'path' is diverged from quite a bit with some nifty skips throughout the game.

4. Super Mario 63 (PC, Flash) (any% 0:20:00)
This is a flash game heavily inspired by the Mario games, but especially Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. The any% run has a lot of skips-especially those abusing FLUDD. It's a very fast paced, quick run that I think would get a positive reception.

5. Ape Escape 3 (PS2) (any% 1:45:00)
Like Ape Escape 1, this game revolves around catching monkeys.  Unlike Ape Escape 1, there is no way of gaining unlimited height- but the morphing mayhem, better bosses and multitude of monkeys make it another very fast-paced platformer.  Would defer to Surreal_ if he came.

The games listed here are from the one I most want to run to the one I'd least mind getting cut.
Sorry if the formatting is off at all, I'm posting this from a tablet since I have no reliable computer access for a couple weeks.

1. Donkey Kong Country 2 [Any% Estimate: 50 minutes]
This is the game that got me into speedrunning, and I have been playing it since the end of last year. The game has all the qualities of a great speedgame. One frame tricks, damage boosts, autoscroller skips, RNG, and skilled platforming. I currently have the second best American time (only beaten by Reflected, who has the WR). I would like to offer an any% race with the other DKC2 players attending.

2. Donkey Kong Country 2 [Any% + Lost World Levels] [Estimated time: 1 hour]
I do not believe that the lost world levels have been shown off at a marathon. The game has a trick that allows you to play the lost levels without going into any bonuses, and I believe it will be a joy for the viewer to see these hardly seen levels played skillfully. This kind of run could also be a donation incentive if need be.

3. The Jungle Book for SNES [Estimated: 40 Minutes]
This is one of those Disney games that every has played, but no one has beaten. So first and foremost, I believe this game would be great in a marathon just so that everyone who played this game as a kid will know what the game looks like after the 3rd level. Not only is this game difficult, but it the trick we found that allows you to skip puzzles and platforming are difficult in themselves.

4. American Gladiators for SNES [Estimated: 10 minutes]
This is a suggestion for AwfulGDQ. The core of this game is essentially losing as fast as you can and mashing (and playing a level with confusing controls).  Possible donation incentives could be naming the character and selecting the gladiator's gender.
Also know as L0rdy

1. Darksiders 2
  (Any%) [1:25:00]
  (Any% - No infinite Jump) [2:15:00]
I really love this game and invested a lot of time in optimizing this game.
Besides being slower the No-IJ route adds some cool jumping puzzles to skip complete dungeons or quests and is overall more challenging.

2. Trine 2
  (Any%) [0:45:00]
Cool platformer, you have 3 characters and can switch between them on the fly and use their different abilitys.
Fast paced with a fair amount if glitches.

3. The Witcher 2
  (Any%) [2:45:00]
This game has a decent fanbase and has a few smaller glitches. You can basicly skip all cutscenes so no long downtimes.
Only downside is that you cant fast-travel in this game so you have to walk around a bit.

I really hope I can make it to this years AGDQ, I really look forward to meet all the people I met during the years. Sadly I can not be 100% certain that I will be able to attent, because I have to somehow make the money to fly from Germany to USA etc.

Time to Slam Jam
Twitch stream - http://www.twitch.tv/lazerlong

1. "Barkley Shut up and Jam: Gaiden"(PC) [Estimate 1:30:00] - An RPG themed around post-apocalyptic basketball Neo-York. This strange game offers some insane dialogue/effects and from what I can tell it has a large cult following. The game speaks for itself at this point as it's incredibly insane. Most likely 100% since the Any% is far too dangerous for marathon setting due to RNG.

2. "Deadpool"(PC) [Estimate 2:10:00] - Recently new game based on the Marvel anti-hero, and features third-person platforming action. There are several tricks in the game that are fairly interesting, and overall funny dialogue. The run would be Any% category.

3. "MadWorld"(Wii) [Estimate 2:30:00] - A Platinum games gem that is very underrated as opposed to other titles. The game is third person motion control game that features point leeching route with some interest strats. However the game is extremely vulgar, and violence is extreme. Any% Normal would be the category for this run.

1. Zoo Race (Race with Duke_Bilgewater) [0:15:00]
Duke already posted about this, nothing much more needs to be said. Zoo Race NEEDS to be a race, it's extremely fast-paced and intense because if you fail a skip you are almost always forced to re-do that level. Donation incentive could be for Duke and I to sing one of the songs.

2. Diddy Kong Racing Any: [0:50:00] 100%: [2:20:00]
I post this with a few caveats. First off, Toufool's run should get priority over mine, period. I would be interested in racing him if my skill level improves in time for AGDQ, but at the moment my PB is too far behind him to really make for a close race. Just consider this an idea rather than an actual submission. Also this assumes that Toufool would consent to a race, we haven't discussed such a thing.

3. The Sims Max-a-Career% [0:45:00]
This started as a joke run, but it's actually something I've been working on routing. It's more interesting than you might think, with a lot of random elements that make runs dynamic. Huge potential for donation incentives with the character creation. This is still in the routing stages though, just throwing it out as an idea.

1. Prehistorik Man (race with KronicSauce if he can make it) All Stages [00:35:00]
The game is all based on momentum and is coming a long way from the TAS. I suggested this as a race because Kronic has been working on the game and I picked it up to give him some competition. If a race isn't possible and Kronic will be making it to AGDQ then I would of course pass this on to him for the better run. We could also turn it into a donation incentive if he is there for a race if he is open to it to make it more interesting.

2. Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze Any% [2:30:00?]
The game has not been released yet, but I will be picking it up and running it. After the hype of SpikeVegeta's run at SGDQ I think Donkey Kong is making a big comeback. The time is just an estimate because the game has not been released yet and I am just going off of the DKCR and giving a little room for any chance of it being longer. Based off of DKCR it should potentially be shorter than 2 hours. Donation incentive could be for a SpikeVegeta waggle at some point during the run.
