I got this run today:

The majority of strats in this run I got from modifying other's to help them become more optimal. I didn't do the Blue King skip in this run. The thing with that glitch is that I tried it for over an hour with no success, leading me to believe that it only works on computers that have a higher or lower frame-rate. I didn't do it with the console because in my point of view it's illegal, in my eyes it's the same thing as changing the frame-rate on a game to have the character move faster or changing the gravity in a game such as Portal 1 & 2.

Obviously this is my biased point of view, but I don't think the 4:39 run should be considered WR because the fact that Blue King skip should be impossible with the average PC.

Fastest possible time would probably be about a 4:35 with these strats in a flawless run.

Alright, so this is something I don't quite understand. In every run I've ever done and with every combination of recording software, input device, resolution, windowing mode, vertical sync, anti-aliasing, CRT simulation, and recording frame rate setting I've ever recorded and timed it's always taken me exactly 3.317 seconds to walk across Which Path Will I Take (which is literally just a hold-right-to-progress screen, so there should be no difference between runs). Somehow though, most other runs I see manage to traverse this screen in less time (3.28 seconds in the run from the previous post). This is a screen where every run has exactly the same input. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on here?

Never mind, this is just an artifact of frame rate conversion.
Anyone working on a run of the more difficult map from the Steam version?
Yes, I got a 3:55 a few days ago but it isn't that good. The route is old but not many runners know about this route, as I never revealed it and somebody else recently discovered it. Around 3:40 seems to be the best possible at this point (there's some more very risky things in Nope Nope Nope and the room before that).

I also got a 4:34 any% run unrecorded, will likely go for 4:32 or 4:31 in a few days and record when I get around to doing it.
Is using the /die command allowed? I saw the WR video of spicy any% and the guy went over to some spikes to deathwarp rather than using /die.
I didn't use the kill/die command in my spicy run because the console is not required to beat the game like how it is on the non-steam version. In the non-steam version you need to use the console to type the secret code in, so other runners decided to use the die/kill command.
Is there a consensus as to whether /die is OK or not? You don't need it, but I think it's slightly faster...
Nobody else had ran it before so I decided to make my own rules. It's obviously faster, but I didn't do it as I didn't feel like it should be allowed since the console is not required to beat the game.
Hmmm....are you OK with me doing it?
I'd prefer if you didn't use death warps in the Steam version. The community decides on rules and the only runs I've seen so far didn't use the command. If you did decide to use it, it would most likely be a different category called "Spicy Mode w/ death warps" or something like that.
Alright.

But how am I going to beat the WR? Sad
