Quote from Artur1:
Chapter 3 plan:

Required unholy aura lvl2.
Also you can buy a wand of negation for dispelling slow.

Be careful:

Is unholy aura lvl 2 really required for this? Would be a shame though Sad
No. Aura lvl2 give +10% speed. In theory it could save 5-10 sec.
Im a little curious what I should choose as my level 3 skill point.

Unholy aura would speed up all the walking. But Death Coil would speed up all the killing.

Whatever I choose I will probably have to stick with it for quite some time (all the way up to chapter 5? Do you know how long perhaps?) and that is certainly worth keeping in mind. Even if unholy aura seems like the best choice for chapter 3. It might not be the best for 4 and 5.
Coil, because you also can kill gnoll to receive big mana pot.
Hmm, besides the speedbuff I also really like the health regeneration of unholy aura. You don't have to worry too much about your units when you run past enemies.
I just watched Stupid's chapter 2 and yours back to back. It's amazing how efficient and clever yours is compared to his.

What gnoll?

But anyways my first instinct is to go with coil as well. There is going to be enough for fighting for it to be worth while.

I believe that I will have to go out of my way to get that gnoll. Its not exactly a creep I can just kill with 1 coil. Dont think its worth the time.

I kinda fucked around today. Didn't really make much progress Sad
Quote from ExplodingCabbage:
Neat, I look forward to seeing the rest.
"The heart of the land" has been broken:

Final time is 2:57, but I used slow speed mode and saves.
Thanks a lot Artur1 for consultation, he found better place to use SCTT trick, this way all horrible troubles with portal satyrs are solved.
Happy New Year !
Work is going on; There are even more weird and risky paths to finish faster, so take pleasure seeing this temporary sketch, until this chapter don't completely crushed.

Thoughts: I wonder if the 2nd healing scroll might be skipped for another item. Maybe a mana pot ? Maybe a dispell wand?

btw cool work on orc05 Wink
I just thought about how annoying Sylvanas is when you attack the buildings. It might be worth to buy a mana potion instead of a scroll, which gives you the opportunity to kill her with coils while baiting her. If you use your greater mana potion you should still have enough mana for the upcomming fight. I can't tell if it's really necessary to keep it until chapter 5.

I vote for dispell wand; gnoll's poison is annoying and slowdown spells then you cross a river too.
Upd: it ineffective against poison *facepalm*

Next time I will experiment with a different item. Heal scroll doesn't seem to be of much use. At least I can complete the level with save games now tho Wink
Nice Artur ! And you didn't even use an item Smiley
VOD:http://da.twitch.tv/warcraftspeedruns/b/305781092

Im still not sure whether I should pick wand of dispell or mana potion. Wand dispell is definitely the safe choice, but mb if I coil snipe the first sorc right away, i wont have to deal with that much slow after all!? I will be having at least one charge left in the dispell wand after the level is complete - that is worth considering too.

Save game for Artur1 attached.

small progress for TFT orc campaign:  the second mission can be done relatively quickly, if kor'gall (lvl 11) can be killed at lvl ~4.

start off by getting some claws of attack and gold, the other guy goes to the warp-out.
-
the samuro part is less than a minute.  get 2 items near the start, to sell later.
rush to the ending gate, release mechanical critter a small distance to the right.
everyone dies of course, but mass teleport can be done on the pig.
(watch out for naga spellcasters who use parasite)
hopefully don't use both mana potions. (will sell one)
get the frost sword of course, mass teleport out.
-
get any items off the ground, run to boat and square switch.
second and third switch can be done with one hero each, they'll each die.
should get the 2nd rez stone and skip the 3rd; 4th might be useful.
a level-up item is above 4th switch.
run to 4th switch.  it's probably worth it to run back.
sell some items and get the wand of healing. (-very- good item)
run to last switch. (i use the troll's ward to distract)
other hero will sail out.
-
turn in quest with one hero, other will be running to tauren warp-out.
-
run to cairn; it might be necessary to keep one hero here in order to keep this rez stone. (i had to, anyways)
run run run to final battle, rezzing taurens.
have to kill the last batch of centaur.
make -sure- not to tag that rez stone, and simply kill baine so he'll pop up at home.
cairn should run to the warp-out.
-
2 heroes to turn-in, and i used cairn to go down to ogre warp-out.
run to ogres that want to fight.  fight em.
run to gauntlet and then start killing things.  avoid rez stone if possible.
return to korgall and accept challenge.
Huh?
dance on his corpse.

the only thing to do after this is one quest where you kill a big human base.

and then the third mission, which i have no idea how to do quickly.  it's hard as balls at max level.

with the test run of the first mission i did yesterday i got an easy 19 minutes.  i might record a chopped up WIP.

I glad to see that someone work on this missing campaign.
If you attach savestate at supposed kor'gall fight (before accept, for various items testing) people like me and other curious volunteers try to kill him.

P.S. I played this campaign so long ago and forgot that they deprive all items. Tongue

Here's a save with rexar at lvl 4.

edit: Well there's a way to do it with just the stun hammers.  Takes about 12 of them; you have to use the runes very conservatively, and clear away the healing ones.  About 4 minutes.  Ehhhh

And here's the corollary Tidefury Cove save.

Transport ships don't take up any food, which is interesting.  The coastal side of Proudmoore's base has just two towers defending, although plenty of troops.  Maybe there's a way to distract them and get some siege up on the castle?

I kill him in ~1:20:

The main idea to set all lizards to attack him.
Did you get the Tome of Power from the crate?
You really should check EVERY item, crate etc. in the campaign and write down anything noteworthy so you don't miss anything.

@Archanfel
that's too cool.  i'll definitely practice that.
also i reread your post above and rexxar doesn't get any items for that battle.

@Stupid
yes
i've been mostly playing from memory and seeing what i can get away with, but i'll be sure to run through invincibly before a route is set down.

edit:
This rar is screenshots of all the items I could find, not including gold or runes, but also some items at shops I think are useful (if I can afford them).  I found two experience tomes I hadn't known about, and a bunch of tomes that might be worth getting.
