Odd and slightly off topic question, but can't we BiT and beat the game without getting EMS (even though it would be slower)? Just trying to remember stuff about TP.

I think finishing the game with non-ems BiT became possible once sword/shield skip was discovered.

Useless and random stuff. BITE works just before 2nd goat herding, Mayor Bo's house, Castle Town (non-twilight), Hidden Village, ToT, Kakariko village, Arbiter's Grounds, Snowpeak (sometimes will crash...don't know what the trigger is), CitS (I saw your video of that from awhile back. It crashes if you skip the Argorok cutscene, save, then attempt BiTE). Regular BiT crashes for me when I do it off Kakariko gorge. The screen just stays black. I haven't found any other spot where regular BiT crashes like that. BiTE crashes in every boss room (I was hoping it would work after Morpheel, but before exiting Lakebed just to see if any side effect would happen).

I might have mentioned this awhile back. The exact trigger for being able to warp the DM rock is the tunnel entrance with Kargaroc. With fixed ems before going to lake hylia, I opened the ZD portal, then warped to DM. The Z-warp option for the rock was not available. I then went to lake hylia, tamed Kargoroc as a human, did the glitch to get off Kargoroc and was standing in the tunnel, warped to ZD, warped to DM, and could then warp the rock.

I'm fairly certain that even if half of forest temple is skipped, you can still warp the DM rock. The Z-option is automatically there, and the portals are shown on the map without having to press the D-pad. We know that with skipping half of FT, one huge obstacle is warping the sky cannon early. But how can you skip half of FT and climb Snowpeak without reekfish scent?
What you actually need the scent? I always thought you could skip it kind of like the lens of truth in OoT.

I'm talking about if you were to skip half of FT. Doing that means you can't kill the messengers at Kakariko gorge, which means you can't open portals on the map. The only way map glitch works without D-pad portal opening is what mzxrules did in his latest video, howling with reeds. There are no reeds at the bottom of Snowpeak mountain, and therefore no way to activate map glitch if half of FT is skipped.

It pretends to be that way, but there's an invisible barrier that will always warp you back unless you have the scent. This is why we Map Glitch.

I was hoping that the new alternative Map Glitch could be turned into Map Glitch without D-pad portal, because you would think there'd be no difference between warping from the map screen and warping from Midna's dialogue. Unfortunately, Map Glitching off of the reeds made it seem to me that it'd be horribly easy to do, but now I'm not so sure. What's really killing me about it is that it really seems like you can't do my Map Glitch unless Midna is on your back. Whenever I failed at it in the twilight, the A icon would pop up for just a frame or to before warping away, but nearly every time I tried it in Kakariko (I swear that one time I saw the A icon), it doesn't pop up.

I'm still hoping that it's still possible though, because I seem to suck and haven't been able to get the Map Glitch to work like it did in Chimpa's video. How much testing have you tried on this Logi?

I haven't done much testing. I've done map glitch like you did, with Midna on my back using the reeds. I did Chimpas' version a few times using Ooccoo's note. That version still requires using D-pad portal. As far as I know, if you open the map with Z button, you can't cancel the warp with auru's memo or ooccoo's note. I tried pressing Z while grabbing a yellow rupee at the same time. It doesn't work either. You have to use the D-pad like in this video.

Too bad, that would of been so cool if something special happened.

There's absolutely no way to get across the bridge from the Kakariko side, right? Can't claw shot or anything, right?

BTW how do you do bite in a boss room? I thought you need some type of cliff to do it, unless if you used action replay in some way.

There's no way to get across the gap. A new form of hover will almost certainly need to be found.
For BiTE...after defeating a boss, save in boss room but don't save after that. Then find a spot where you can do BiTE. Load your save file from the boss room, game crashes.

Oh, I should probably mention that someone is doing a GCN Any % run on ZSR It's up to segment 3

Edit: Oh, and one question for logi. Are the odds of getting a Blue Rupee any better if you dig for one as opposed to breaking a pot?

I think the odds are about the same. Digging has 2 advantages though. It saves more time, and is far less annoying than carrying a pot to the dive spot.  However, there is never a blue rupee in the dig spot closest to the dive area. The spot I used in my video is not ideal. I passed up the best dig spot around 6 seconds in after I do the random wolf jump and turn to the left.

I'm so glad to hear they're is a new speed runner but since it took him 300 times to get segment 3 perfect, makes me wonder how he's going to do at the rest of the run.
BTW, you don't need to talk to the wolf in the Faron Twilight to get the Finishing Blow, and wolf stone will do. However, it will cost you a bit more time.

Number of attempts can mean a lot of different things, and doesn't necessarily reflect the skill of the runner at all.  I'm also glad that somebody is working on this.
Well it could mean he's really striving for perfection. I love watching great runs, but when they go for perfect, they tend to get so aggravated with any few seconds of a mistake and give up.
His goat herding was still awesome, but looks like he starting over to try to improve his run so far.

This game is really luck based to. One AI change might screw you up.
Well I know of the rupee dive and the water temple boss.
You need to really master these tricks otherwise the amount of times you have to do it would increase a lot.
Anything else luck based?

Are enemies random in any way?
Oh, I got a new camera so I should be able to record some decent quality videos compared to my old ones.
Any thing you want to see recorded with AR? Maybe it will give someone ideas on things they could try through glitches.
Sure that would be great. While you are doing that I guess I should practice.

I have not gotten this to work much.

Is that 10 seconds each time which would mean 20 seconds, or all together?

My first idea for recording is to show you how big the invisible barrier is at Hyrule Castle.
So how much should this new route save over the older one? (the one tpfox was taking)
Did TP fox ever use any of the BIT or BITE methods? If not, then it looks like were saving at least 5 minutes.

No.
Looks like our new speed runner is having some blue rupee dive issues. I hope he gets the hang of it otherwise who knows how long it will be before another potential speed runner comes along.

Chimpas can't log into SDA. He wanted me to let everyone know his run is finished.

THIS RUN CONTAINS SECRET WORLDS
I am totally going to watch the whole thing right now.

EDIT: Just finished watching the run. It was fantastic.
