Just a quickie idea for a donation incentive for FFVII that hasn't been done before, AFAIK.
I figure if Mog's House is there, then maybe you could prolly take some donations to do a round or two of the battle arena? It'd take some time (10-15 minutes) but I'm sure it'd be popular, and bring in some monies! Maybe even a bidding war to determine which character does the fighting as well?
Really looking forward to this! I might try and cram in a full LO run just before this starts; promote the event the small amount that I'm able. \o/
EDIT: Oooor, maybe if time is tight, donations just to try to win the compulsory fight on disc 1?
Regarding Duodecim: I'll leave it up to you really. I personally have no problem with it (I guess if anything... Bonus stream material? >_>). Though I'm exceptionally sleep deprived while writing this so I may or may not be speaking nonsense that I'll look back on in a day and ask myself why I said that. I feel like it'd give more options for people to go for ^^; (The run is also a fair bit interesting since it involves some more strategic things regarding leveling, abilities used, etc)
Next time I talk to UraniumAnchor I'll see if we can use his and SMK's donation tracker system that we've use for AGDQ/SGDQ (which he graciously let us use for the recent Halloween community marathon). Also, given how spectacularly ChipIn failed before and during AGDQ this year (and our discovery that "tech support" for it consists of links to an FAQ on a web server that was down every time we tried to access it), I think we should consider other options just in case C4L generates enough donations to overload ChipIn.
Also, any chance FF4 Interlude could be on Sunday (like maybe before or after FF5) or Monday? Having it on Saturday pushes the end time for FF7 to 3:30AM, which won't give me much sleep if I want to go to church Sunday morning.
Thanks for looking into the tracker issue, puwexil!
Also, I'm too overwhelmed at the moment to try to do schedule-shuffling in my head. I've posted a revised schedule that has all the PSP games together (it's easily going to take five minutes to switch to, and then switch from, the PSP). But, if you have an alternate idea that makes things better, please post/PM a new schedule idea.
I'll leave all FF7 donation incentives in puwexil's hands. I trust his judgement, and I'll let him speak for/against any incentives.
Another FF7 incentive I'm thinking might be fun/profitable is to fight Ruby Weapon, which would be done by fighting some extra random battles in the Mythril Mine to learn Cait Sith's Slots Limit and then OHKOing it with Game Over (both as something of a joke and a demonstration of how most Japanese FF7 runners play the game). Since it might take me a few tries to time Slots correctly I'd rather fight Ruby than Emerald, since you can fight Ruby directly from the airship and Emerald can take several minutes to track down underwater.
I'll need to test this first and see both if I can do it reliably enough and if the extra XP/levels would impact my route for Disc 3.
Also, I'll brainstorm some schedule ideas tonight and PM you.
In order for puwexil to be done by an early time night. One of the games from the start of the marathon up til ff7 has to be changed. Since ff4 and ff13 are locked in. that leaves ff7. Unless we change almost the entire schedule and move ff7 and the psp block later in the marathon.
Hey~ I heard this marathon being mentioned while watching AGDQ2013 and Final Fantasy was a huge part of my childhood and a big got me into video games and kept my interest in video games! I think it's great that there's going to be a charity marathon that is just Final Fantasy and I wanted to offer up some prizes for the marathon!
I make buttons of chibis that I draw and I wanted to make at least two or three button packets for the marathon, one being a Dissidia/Dissidia Duodecim set which would consist of 12(Warrior of Light, Firion, Onion Knight, Terra, Bartz, Cecil, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus, Vaan, and Lightning) 1.25" buttons, another being a Final Fantasy I/Final Fantasy classes set of at least 5(Warrior, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage, and Red Mage) 1.25" buttons, and a third being of some of the more iconic creatures in the Final Fantasy series 5+(Chocobo, Moogle, Tonberry, Cactuar, and at least one more but not sure yet) 1.25" buttons. I'm also totally open to doing more and taking more suggestions. I can also post the sketches I have if anyone wants to see, but I will hopefully have them finished by Tuesday and will be posting pictures then...I mean that is if you wouldn't mind me contributing some prizes >A<
I'm also totally open to adding more characters/buttons to the sets and even making more sets for specific Final Fantasy games! Anyway, again just think this is awesome and wanted to try and contribute something!!
Another way we could arrange the schedule, if it doesnt hurt Zoning's timeschedule. We could move ff13 to after FF7. This pushes all the games from FF1 to FF7 Up 7 hours. and then put ff13 in after ff7 putting schedule back on its timeframe. FF7 Gets pushed slightly out of the ideal zone but it will help puwexil much more.
Here's an idea I had, which keeps the PSP block together and uses FF4 Interlude as a segue from FF4 into the PSP block. This would move rinimt's games from morning/afternoon to early morning/morning, so she's the main person that would need to approve IMO.

Ugh... I kinda fear that time since I know I won't be able to sleep in the car and Meta and I will be arriving in the evening on Friday. As much of a night person as I am... I fear that might be too early x_x Especially for 8 hours straight and very little sleep (on top of waking up early to get ready to go that Friday).
Edit: So I think I'm pretty much just going to say no to how stupidly early that is. 8 hours + very little sleep before + waking up early Friday... Yeahhh... No.
Sometimes the best entertainment comes from the half-asleep and/or weird shifts. At least for the viewers. But then again, somebody has to get stuck with the weird night shifts.
And finally my official signing up. Jan 'Alko' Geldsetzer, flying in all the way from Germany to be part of a great party. Willing to comment the FFIX run. (I would be willing to do more, but Puwexil objected to giving me part (or more) of the run itself ) Also willing to do donation reading or processing stuff for the rest of the times. For the record: Any-time-of-day person (yes, I feel jetlagged even at home when I didn't leave any time zone Hell, I should be sleeping now =O.)
OK, here's my next idea, which moves Crisis Core to after FF8, makes 2 PSP blocks of similar length, and doesn't otherwise rock the boat much as far as what times of day people are playing.
