Alright, I updated the prizes list.  First off, I'm now notating which things I haven't received, as opposed to which I have.  I'm not trying to be a jerk by doing so; rather, it's just far more useful from an operational standpoint to keep track of what hasn't arrived, as opposed to what has (and obviously, no, it wouldn't make any sense for the people attending the marathon to mail to me any prizes they've donated in-advance of the marathon).

And I'm give-or-take 100% certain that I'm missing a prize or two from the list that people have said they'll donate.  Again, not trying to be a jerk by excluding anything; rather, this is why I really need to write things down right away when people tell me stuff Sad

That's a super-cute chocobo, Driscollad!  Thank you very much for donating that to the marathon; however, you might have to guard it from Stef...and everyone Wink

Also, lizzie, FFXIII-2 arrived today -- thank you so much for that amazing prize!  I'll make note of it arriving on the first post next time I update it.

Nice, I remember seeing people with those 25th anniversary chocobos at the Distant Worlds concert I went to last month; but they were long sold out by the time I got there.

A good spot to cut the donations for Any% vs 100% Mystic Quest would be at the start of the game, The routes diverge about 10 minutes in.

I had an idea for a challenge choice to donate to.  I thought it might be pretty fun (and funny) to have someone sing to the "Eyes on Me" theme from FFVIII.  It could be a certain person with a have it sung or not, or maybe a choice between people that are willing to sing it.  What do you think?

I've been throwing around the idea of going to this marathon for a while, but I figured it'd be good to tell people I won't be there.  I've been accepted to present at a conference the following week, and it'd be best for me to save money for that.

However, people actually got me working on an FF run, so kudos to y'all.

Mikadia, Since im running ff8, I can say that I dont mind if someone is singing ff8 during my playthrough. Although At that point in the run I will probably be very tired so that and also my singing is horrible,  I wouldnt want to be in the running for the singing. I nominate Rinimt though Tongue

Sounds like an idea :).  Im just worried how many different things ff8 can have donation challenges/choices for.

Timing is good though since that part of the game will happen around 11am so that both Essentia and Meta should be up, if need be.

Ironically Poxnor I'd have to agree 100% with that statement!! Indeed FFGamer I should be up very very much by that time, and if Essentia is cool with it (The singing part) then you bet I'd do a duet...or at least do my best to make sure I don't make her look bad :<
