I remember playing this one BMX racing game, but it was more arcade like than realistic. It either came out on PS2 or N64. Only thing i can definitly remember is that A) one of the levels started in a parking garage and B) it was not the kind of bikes with an engine. The ones that you peddle.

hey, long time lurker, just signed up (literally)
some one said Downhill Domination, it is that game.
one of the Salt lake city levels start in a parking garage.
(I forgot which one, I'll have to play it and see which one.)

EDIT: I can't find any video on youtube though. I'll try to find pictures or video elsewhere, and post ASAP
The Running Failure
Yep, that's definitly it. Thanks.  Smiley

Cheesy
eh, I tried to find video for it, but adding salt lake city does nothing since incog is based in SLC, and everyone wants to let you know that for some reason.
and I just realized I didn't check which course it was... I'll get around to it

Waiting hurts my soul...
Not really a game I remember, so much as I saw a screenshot and wondered what the game was.

The shot is here RPG Cliches, and the screen shot. It's funny how it breaks the fourth wall. Anyone know what that game is, I think I'd like to play it based on that one screen.

The name of the image might be helpful, ta-02.jpg might indicate the title initials are TA.

Edit:
I should probably have just looked into it more. The game is Thousand Arms for the PS1. Apparently the dialogue is one of the best things going for the game, as well as the voice acting for the majority of the characters.
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
I've answered that exact same Thousand Arms screenshot before, back when it was originally posted on GIA. Tongue The game kinda sucks, my opinion only of course. I do think it's weird how people will judge a game based on stuff like dialogue (fair), but many times the dialogue in a localized version isn't like the original version. People who liked "Working Designs games" might not have liked the original versions. So when you say you like Thousand Arms, it's more of like "the US release of Thousand Arms." I don't know if people realize this, or they know it's a shortcut. (Same thing with downloading an OST and saying "Thousand Arms has good music" instead of "Thousand Arms has a good OST," I don't think people realize the difference there either.) I guess this is why really really devout people will study the Bible in its original languages, but I don't care about games like that. Also I don't have this problem since I don't really care about dialogue and plot and stuff.

EDIT2: NVM#2, this thing is not made for anything above Win95. Is DOSBOX an option if the game is Win95/DOS?

Try compatibility mode, maybe.

You could say that about more than dialogue since many times music or even gameplay changes were made as well during localization. People don't usually bother keeping track of what version of something they like if they haven't tried other versions.

So, dialogue and plot don't interest you at all? That seems strange from someone that enjoys playing RPGs. I mean I would assume what you're saying is you wouldn't play a game for the story, but you could also mean you ignore it as much as possible. Does the reading bring you no enjoyment?
This is a long shot but...

There was this racing game for the SNES I did not really like at the time, now I'm just curious why. I think it was kid-oriented, the cars had big eyes instead of headlights and I remember there being like a sports car and a big truck but there were others. The graphics were colorful but not very good IIRC. I think that's about as much as I remember about it.

Thanks in advance for any answers

Are you talking about Stunt Race FX?

wow that was fast, and right! Just looked it up on Wikipedia, and that's the game I was searching for, now this feels nostalgic Smiley thank you
-_-"
It's on PC (no idea if it's on other platform)
It's sort of a strategy game in space, your army is only battleships (I believe so), a lot of kind, I forgot how you can make some other battleships
It always (I think) start with mothership (round shape). If I'm not mistaken, if it dies, game over
I think it should be around 1990-2003 (or 1995-2000, dunno)

I'm not sure if this clue gonna help (I just forgot/not sure/can't describe it as I want) so you can skip this one
Maybe like Spore in the space age but in 2D. You don't need to enter the planet like Spore (or maybe I'm not that far yet), you can control all of your army (Spore can't, sort of, right?)

Thanks
Homeworld?
-_-"
nope, it's only 2D, not 3D. the space craft is also small one (even the mothership)
if you've ever played Starcraft, maybe the size of the mothership is the same with the science vessel (more or less)
It's a BIG HEAD!
Hmm, started thinking what was the game my friend had back then... It was an quite usual shooter game for PS1. It had a train level.

The most distictive thing was, that it had codes you could enter (Like unlimited ammo etc.). The one I remember was "Hat" code. It changed all enemies hats into stuff from that levels environment (Oilbarrels and stuff). the funny thing was in the train level (You move in the train, inside it), if you had the code on, they (enemies) had stuff like rails in their head (Longones) so that you could see their "hats" from the previous rooms sometimes. Fuck I laughed at these things.
Cmon: Is it perhaps a DOS game called "Starcom"?

It's not Sad I doubt it's on DOS, I forgot to mention, I'm pretty sure it's a CD ROM game

perhaps master of orion or its sequel? the first was for dos; the second was on cd too. haven't played those games in years, but i vaguely remember a mothership of some sort. might be mistaken though.

It's not that one (not 1/2/3), it's more simpler.
It's also not Galactic Civilizations II (When I google the screenshot of master of orion, I found this game, looks similar but also not as complicated)

The game itself (dunno about your/others suggestion) have 1 race only (at least I believe I can only choose one), there's no option like zerg/terran/protoss/human/something like that

Some scratch:

The round purple is your mothership (maybe a bit smaller), the gray one is like the.. path, so even if it's in space, you can't past those gray lines/pattern/there's already a "road", you can't go anywhere you want (example, in Spore, you can almost travel anywhere, almost no limit. The game that I'm looking for is not).
The game it's not on polygon/wire frame (my drawing just sucks)
The drawing is only the.. "battleground", I can't remember about the position of the menu/map (if there's any)/anything else
Maybe when you start the game, you also got some other battleships to accompany you (2 maybe in the early level)
A couple of old Commodore Amiga games (or possible Commodore 64...not 100% sure)

One was a puzzle game based on pushing dominoes over. I believe it was licensed by Quavers crisps. I seem to remember all the dominoes being yellow. Several dominoes had different "abilities" such as ones which kept on tumbling after you pushed them and ones which rose into the air. I think the actual character you played as was an ant or cockroach or something. Absolutely brilliant game from what I can remember - really want to see if I can get my hands on it now and play it through again.

The other one I'm thinking of was a game where you had to get a tomato from the left side of the screen to the right. You got different tools to use...the only ones I can remember were a fan that elevated the tomato and a trampoline that it would bounce off. Can't really remember if it was any good...all I remember is the fact that it always seemed insanely hard at the time but I was probably only 7 years old when I first played it.

Thanks in advance

Bill's Tomato Game

Based on the names of these games I'm not sure you looked very hard.  Roll Eyes Wink

Thanks for the answers. No I really didn't look very hard at all. Just happened to see this thread on the forum and decided to ask. Definitely going to have to try and get my hands on a copy of both of those. Is there anywhere you can legally buy/download them?
I played this stupid PS1 game over at a friends house a couple of years ago where you go around chasing monkeys with alarms on their heads with a net. Any ideas?

Ape Escape. Smiley
I remember playing an Arcade game in a bowling alley that was a Wild West themed shooter very much like Wild Guns for the SNES (prehaps s sequel for Wild Guns)
Two things i remember about this game, one of the playable characters is a native american, and 2nd one of the levels has a train that zig zags thru a canyon getting closer and closer.
like i say this game is almost the same as Wild Guns but not identical.

I'd guess Sunset Riders just because that's the only other Wild West themed game I can think of.

It's not Sunset Riders (native american not playable character)
