Cool Terra figure.

During Romscout's Mega Man Marathon during Mega Man 2 there was a reading from the Worlds of Power book loosely based off of the game. I have several of the books and I would like to give them away as prizes. They are in good condition. Now the question is, should it be the whole set of books or should we just give the ones that have games being played? Suggestions are welcome.

The figure of Terra I ordered came in the mail today.

Cool figure Smiley

I was planning on getting a figure of Squall but I've seen that FFVIII might be cut from the schedule. Should I hold off on getting it until the schedule comes out?

Wow, awesome stuff Augora.  FF8 will be in the schedule.

Put me on Defnite for Skyward Sword.

FF8 will be on the schedule, but I have to figure out where it will go.

Commisioned a scarf (she really wanted to make a scarf) for Goonies 2, and a possible drawing to go along if my friend has the time to make it between 6 days of work a week and 2 quick term classes. Shouldn't be an issue with two months to make.

Skullboy: It's up to you. Which World of Power books do you have?

I should have a copy of MM2, Bionic Commando, Beyond Shadowgate, Blaster Master, Castlevania II and maybe Infiltrator somewhere. If not, I can always get what I am missing.

Da Dood: You can definitely contribute with your drawings, and I can pay for the shipping if necessary, since it'll be expensive shipping from Brazil. I have a question, could you draw something from Sands of Time? The game didn't have a prize at AGDQ, and I'd like it if it had a prize this time.

Sure! I'll have it done by next Tuesday or so.

About the shipping, since my drawings are all digital, I can send you the JPG and you can print them over there. I don't mind shipping, though.

Okay, I'll have to ask sonikku (the guy who did the Sonic and Metroid drawing at AGDQ) how to print the pictures like he did, but sending the JPGs should be fine. I don't mind spending a little more money for higher-quality paper for good pictures. Smiley

Cool. If that's too much trouble, though, I really don't mind paying for the shipping. Smiley

If there are more games that need prizes (and if the prize could be a drawing), feel free to request.

I just remembered for FF6 I still have the Mog drawing Lindsey King drew for us. I could offer it as a prize for SGDQ. I'll have to think of some other prizes, especially since I have some spare funds to buy some prizes.
No pain, no gain
I'll throw out LittleBigPlanet, Da Dood.  Sack Boy is adorable, and he'd love to be drawn Smiley

Actually, could Sack Boy be a plushie? It seems like he'd be the perfect candidate for it.

Very this.

I've seen some really nice Sack Boy plushies before, and I freakin' love all of them. I'd love to see one done by Mercury!

Speaking of LittleBigPlanet, I just bought a SackBoy plushie today for a prize. Hopefully it comes this week.

Okay guys, this pic isn't high quality, but here's the Prince of Persia art. Mike, where can I send you the high quality JPG?

I could do something with LittleBigPlanet.

You can pm it to me on the forums.
Working on a Momohime perler for Muramasa.  No pictures yet because I'm just finishing the pattern for it.

For people with past marathon experience, what's gonna be the best method for shipping them?
My feelings on The Demon Rush
Either pack the perler very tightly in a box, or make sure the perler is backed with strong cardboard in a padded envelope. Never rely on the Post Office to not bend packages, even if you write, "do not bend" on them.

Alright, updated the first post again. Really nice prizes so far. Grin

This.  Newspaper or bubble-wrap.

No no no Sad  I once won a perler in a non-SDA marathon and it was shipped this way.  Yes, technically, the perler arrived undamaged, but the perler gods were watching over that shipment.  The cardboard was destroyed, the envelope was destroyed, and a customs officer somewhere along the way potentially shot it with his/her sidearm.  Please, put it in a box, especially for international shipping!

Huh, I've sent a lot of perlers that way and most seem to arrive undamaged (at least the prize winners said they arrived okay). I think you were just exceptionally unlucky, poxnor.

Oh yeah, I can say that newspaper works very well for packing boxes. Don't use peanuts because stuff can still shake around in a box stuffed with peanuts.

Wow, so it seems.  But, just so you're aware for the future, it's not unprecedented -- that perler arrived with 0% body armour Wink

I'm glad to hear that it works most of the time, though Smiley

PS: From experience, international shipping is a bitch.  I think that most customs inspections involve a hammer.

Given how they treat international fliers at the airports, I can only imagine what they do to inanimate objects who can't higher lawyers.
