Some minor sp things that completely pale in comparison to the awesome finds on just 2 pages.

Skipping some stair animations

The overclocker achievement using a small skip to the upper level (since someone posted his attempt a page ago):

Skipping a lasercube (out of 3)

Saving a bit by jumping with a turret (lucky physics drop can save some more here)

Saving some time using a ceiling bounce

My apologies for the video formatting, hope a mod can edit this to textlinks if it's too long (or remove completely if the quality doesn't meet common requirements). Sad
I do stuff
Just finished my "speedrun" no glitches and no major skips.  Last shot fired almost exactly 2 hours.  This includes my loading times which are about 10 - 15sec each.  I don't know how many loads there are, but that cuts out a couple minutes I'm sure.  Also pretty much none of my solutions are optimized in the slightest.

@Scepheo, that sounds like it could be a lot of fun.  I think I need a couple days not playing portal 2, but after that I'm free to help.

NabsterHax has discovered that you can do the flying glitch without being crouched. This allows you basically 0 gravity. It has different properties from the crouched version. You are able to land on the ground AND jump off the ground while remaining in 0 gravity. The problem is, it is only available on horizontal ExFu's. The crouched version is possible on all directions.

Also, you can save the game and keep the glitch. The only downside is after you load, going into an ExFu will cancel the glitch.

Additionally, he discovered you can preserve the glitch (crouched or non) between level loads. This requires you to use the pure (non-portaled) version of the ExFu (meaning, the part that is built into the map), because you'll destroy the portal'ed version's portals, which cancels the effect. Using the non-portaled ExFu also allows you to use portals on the map.

To test this, I traveled from the first level that has an ExFu, until the end of the game (and beat it) while being in the 0 gravity glitch. There was 1 exception because I could not get to the next level without going into an ExFu on the one map, so I lost the glitch, but regained it immediately at the start of the next map. It was pretty epic all around. I have a recording of it, but it took a couple of hours, so I'd need to chop it up to put it on YouTube, or just upload it somewhere for download.
Gets the cake.

Holy shit. Portal 2 = broken.

This gives so many opportunities for similar tricks in co-op. If anyone wants to work with me to start planning a route, I'm available all weekend.
I am down for co-op running.

Holy heck Demonstrate, that's huge! I feel sad for Wheatley though as all of his are going to be torn apart by the glitch. Good job, NabsterHax.

Now to something that pales in comparison; a neat portalshot at sp_a3_01.

that Metroidvania guy
It makes me sad that I had to be at school all day while this stuff was being discovered :v
By the way Coolkid, that is the correct profile.

Thanks.

Here are 2 new videos,

this is a modified route for chapter 3 chamber 2 (I think this is quicker than the other way I saw in this thread).

Here is a portal bump to skip the turret scanner dialogue.

Gonna be honest, I did this bump on my first playthrough and just assumed that's what people do... I didn't know the door opens otherwise. >.>

Not a Zelda 2 refrence
@ Coolkid that's the right steam profile, I'm the one with the potatos

so if you put an excursion beam directly over an aerial faith plate the plate will constantly fire when you are over it without moving you and slow the game down, pointless but funny.

been playing around with flying, it's a lot of fun if hard to control, they may decide to patch it so make sure you set it not to auto update.
King Laskdjf
Of course they're going to patch it, it's just a matter of when.
Not a Zelda 2 refrence
Wonder if that messes up co-op if they decide to patch it. Is there a way to do LAN?
that Metroidvania guy
if they patch it out, we're at least getting a 1p run with it on the unpatched version :p

found a minor timesaver with bloodisblue's trick.

it's possible to get the box on top of the scenery somewhere where you can't get to it which gets you stuck. Tongue also I bet the final boss is a joke with the flying glitch Tongue
Here's another minor timesaver in chapter 1. This may take a while if you want to reproduce it though because the timing is hard to get.

This is a timesaver for the chamber where GLaDOS fizzles 2 cubes before allowing you to use the 3rd cube. You cannot avoid fizzling the first cube, however the second one fizzles when it passes through a trigger that is just before the laser. So I avoid this by keeping the cube close to the wall running parallel to the trigger and place it in the corner of the room against this wall. This allows you to use another timesaver by shooting a portal at the angled surface that is usually out of site. Then I carry the cube with me and place it at the launch pad because if i place it in the hole I will risk it being fizzled.

This video should explain it:

I've made it a bit easier to do by changing where you are standing to make the shot. Also, this shows some other portal shots/trick at the end while waiting for the door.
Portal 2 - sp_a3_01 - Shortcut Route:

Also, here was just a video of when I was first starting to mess around with flying. I will upload parts of the long video of me using it the entire time this Friday.

Nice ones.

More Chamber 5 stuff; one obvious timesaver and a couple glitches.

I have no idea how the last one happened.
King Laskdjf
Found a small timesaver in sp_a2_turret_blocker (Chamber 15). Not sure how fast it can be done, that turret won't leave me alone...

^ That one's already been posted. Scroll up to RCW's post at the top of this page.

How did I miss that...

We should get that wiki started...

Okay, here's one in Chamber 17 (sp_a2_pull_the_rug) instead.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/rogotin

Kiwi's / Aussies up for some Co-Op play, or anyone else for that matter.

Which reminds me while I'm here, in the screenshots section there is two 'interesting' scenarios. The first is a tower of boxes, which allows you to fire a portal through a window onto the white wall BEHIND the glass in the picture. Sadly I haven't found a way to make a portal I can walk through. Its the first chamber with the retarded walking cubes that can't walk onto the button. Anyway, if anyone figures out something neat I'd love to see it, I've given up on it. (note: from there you need a jump to the right and you get a momentary glimpse of white wall and you can JUST hit it, sometimes ... 20 try's later)

Secondly, anyone else balanced a cube like that? I have no idea what happened, but its most definitely stuck that way.

Off to test out speed running. Without weird, floaty man, insane, fly about glitch. >.<
