Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
Cool! I look forward to seeing this segment.
I have a newbie question, and I can't find the answer anywhere else (and yes, I have looked): How can you redo segment 4 if you're on segment 11 and there are only 3 save files?
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
He just plays up to that point on a different file.

Hey TSA, if you upload the new segment 4 or 6, could you add a little (new) near of the link of the new segment in the front page.

Thanks,
Food goes in here

TSA, when you play Ocarina of Time, do you set Z-Targetting to hold or switch?
Zelda Scientist®
He uses switch. Mainly because of it keeping link oriented and facing the boss while doing quickspins.

Hmm, I've used Hold ever since I first got the game... I know that Switch is better and gives you more control, but I get messed up every time I use it. >_< I just can't seem to switch to Switch.

EDIT: Never mind, I meant to say that I use Switch... Wait, what? @_@
Don't think!  feeeeeal

I've decided not to redo Segment 10 (at least with bomb bag skip) because I need the bombcus later on...and overall it will save more time to keep them.

where do you need the bombcus later on?  Could it be worth it to get more bombcus later on and still do early bomb bag.

well, the only one you need later on is the 1 in jabu which can be done w/ bombs... but basically, if you can save 1 then you are cool... but that requires 3 bombchu method which is really tough. So... but yeah. Jabu is the other place... that and hyrule castle. 3 bombchu makes it so you can do both, while waiting to do hyrule castle after dodongo's makes it so you can do the bomb hover there and save the bombchu for jabu which is way faster IMO by about 30-45 seconds or so probably.
He's back!
There is three questions I have about the route

1. Is the SG's being skipped entireley since aren't they needed for the large blocks in Forest and the revolving statues

2. Isn't it better to get the bean and plant it in the Colosus so the mirror shiled can be reached more quickly.

3. Probally ridiculous, but wouldn't the hookshot be worth skiping if the BA+Ganon Early strategy was used since it would only be need in two places i.e. gap in shadow, which can be cleared with 3-4 bomb hovers and then a sidestep and for entering the forest temple (refer to Acryte's video of it)
1. Yes.

2. Yes.

3. It's hard to say. If you look at Acryte's video, using bomb hover to enter Forest takes roughly a minute, and the Shadow pit probably takes 15-20 seconds. TSA knows of a faster strategy for Dampe's race (that he has yet to show us) which allows it to be completed in under 49 seconds. Add the diversion to the grave, the time needed to open it, and the post-race dialogue...it's really hard to say.
welcome to the machine
Skipping it would earn major style points too.

If you skip the hookshot, you need to have the bow for the bongo-bongo fight, right?  Or are you considering somehow using the bomb tricks to beat shadow as a kid?  With that in mind, if skipping the hookshot entirely, might it be useful to just do forest as a kid as well?

Hookshot is necessary for the hand to hand crossover though at spirit with that bean trick, isn't it?  If so, I'd assume that between all the stopovers you need to get around using it that the hookshot is, in the end, worth getting.  I agree that skipping it would be pretty amazing though.

Hookshot can be skip with that hover trick but I think it cost more time to use those hover trick in every places than get that hookshot and you are on your way to the shadow temple anyway Smiley

If you beat shadow or forest temple as a child game will freeze Sad

Well you wouldn't need to beat the Forest temple. You can skip the Minuet in the process.

We know that already.

What he is saying is that we wouldn't beat Forest Temple in the first place meaning the game won't freeze.

The only reason we go into Forest Temple is to get Arrows.  Thrn we save/quit.

So it might be a possibility, unless the Saria cutscene starts when  you go up to that area.  I think Saria cutscene is longer.

I thought the saria cutscene didn't trigger until after you got zelda's lullaby.  If thats the case, TSA might need to redo his plan of when to get the lullaby (savewarping from outside dodongos, rather than getting the lullaby right after dodongos cavern).  Only problem with that is that it screws up the planned time of getting the magic meter on the way to forest as an adult.

Then again, It's probably still not worth skipping the hookshot for this.

We're talking about Bottle Adventure + Ganon's Castle early, meaning no Shadow or adult Spirit necessary, except getting Hover Boots (which is needed for Ganon's Castle early).

I thought the shadow temple didn't freeze. I mentioned the that the Forest temple froze quite a long time ago. As far as I was aware Shadow,Water,Fire don't cause the game to crash I've never checked Spirit, but I'll do so sometime soon. Wouldn't it be quicker to reach the statue face with a superslide instead of a hookshot.

There also needed to steal the rod.
Well, yeah...that too.

You can't beat Spirit as a child in any case because the Mirror Shield can only be equipped as an adult.

My mistake.  I thought someone was mentioning that TSA might consider skipping the hookshot in this run.  In that case it might work out that its faster to go to forest temple as a kid, but it would have to be after dodongos (have bombs) but before getting the lullaby.  That would (in theory) have the advantage of skipping the minuet cutscene or the saria cutscene.  If you're skipping the hookshot it would make sense to do that as a kid... but if not you're still probably losing time that way over just dealing with the minuet and hooking in.
