I have uploaded the TAS onto google video for all you torrent haters. It's currently processing, so i'll post the link when it's ready.

This is not a reasonable concern. I am tempted to say "learn about the internet", but it's probably best to explain that your IP address is already known to thousands of random people, and if your computer was really that insecure, you would get hit even if your IP wasn't known to anyone.

I'm tempted to tell you to shut the fuck up, but I think that you've been told that enough times in this topic that it goes in one ear and out the other.

SeraphicRadiance-Thank you.
PwNzRd!
Most of the time I get crap with BitTorrent, but I got 320k/sec with this torrent, so it is definitely worth getting now when it's hot.

Is it just because of my arrogance that you doubt the truth of my words? I don't see how the two are related. Yet I must apologize for the hostility that I fill everything I say with. However, STFU doesn't show me what I'm doing wrong. That's why it goes one ear in and out the other.

If my hostility isn't the problem, I would be happy to hear from you how this *IS* a reasonable concern.

Man, there is too much hostility here. I understand where both of you are coming from. Basically, different people feel differently about things and I'm sure they have a few justifications for their beliefs which may also have a different weight than you feel it does. Even as such if they feel that the weight it holds in their eyes is enough to warrant concern then that is cool and you must at least respect that. Unless their knowledge is completely offbase in which you may indeed try to educate. I believe that KD was trying to educate but isn't necessarily a man of neutral wordings and empathy, and also refused to acknowledge manocheese's worries and reasonings as valid points even though to him they may indeed hold less weight. Seriously, no more rapidshare/fileplanet/bittorrent disputes. I'm sure if someone nicely asks, they will recieve. That's all that matters right? If someone else doesn't mind a slower dl or a few more links to click or maybe some other little hassles that make you wanna kill someone then that is their thing and if it doesn't bother them then that is fine. There are many ways to dl on the internet right?

Wise words. I need to learn empathy. What may not seem valid points to me may seem valid points to others~ T.T

Well said, Acryte. *Meditates*

Acryte, I've provided a savestate for Pro 64. It has a completed forest temple without magic meter so you can check to see if light arrows on B work without magic good luck.

Even though it is much slower than the torrent, I uploaded it to filefront for torrent haters.

Yikes, it'll take me forever to dl that, I think I'll wait until it goes to google video instead.

TSA- your 4:57 isn't crap, it's just outdated and may not look good because of all the new tricks found, but certainly it's up there with the best for that very same reason.
torch slug since 2006
Nah... TSA's 4:57 is the best OoT run so far.. (if we dont count with GuanoBowls TAS)...  But it might be boring now cuz of the new glitches we've founded... But the tricks in Water Temple he does OWNS!

Ok...

Compare my 4:57 run to this run when I finish.

My 4:57 run looks like crap.

If you string all the segments together, sure, you could say that. But the reason the 4:57 is so fucking great is because it's a single segment run, regardless of how many new glitches there are and whatever. It is pretty much timeless, and something I really don't think anyone could have duplicated at that time.

And I bet you'll break down and run a single segment TP. You're just not the type to sit back and let others do things before you.

Its still possible to technically reach zelda even after the Ganondorf cutscene

Good fucking luck to anyone ever finding away, the only logical way I can think of is doing the endless sword glitch and somehow levataing over the wall next to the guards without explosives.

I do plan on doing an SS run on TP. Although it'll probally take about 8 hours to do, but then again I think with certain tricks it might get lowered down to 6 hours. However I'll probally do the run in a two/three day period if that turns out to be the case.
Speed is the key.

Or, it could turn out to be a trick/glitch free game and the possible run time could be over 10 hours. You never know. Tongue
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Who is going to care about some random person's IP whilst they're downloading a torrent?

If you don't bother with torrents because of whatever malicious thing you think might happen to your computer, then you obviously have protection against it.

Missing out on everything torrents has to offer because of a possibility of an intrusion that will in all likelyhood do no damage whatsoever might just be the most laughable concept I've ever read on any forum.
Thanks to Zaphrasz for putting the TAS up for direct download. Cheers man!

Eh...still having issues with the Deku Tree Skulltula...damn thing keeps dying on me.

I've decided not to redo Segment 10 (at least with bomb bag skip) because I need the bombcus later on...and overall it will save more time to keep them.

But I will redo 4 and 6.

I also am practicing 11...stupid King Zora skip...heh...but it will just take some time...it's not too bad.

TSA don't give up you can do it if you want  Wink

BTW I have tested that light arrow on B button without magic and if you doesn't have bow light arrow not shoot anything like you don't have arrows. If you have bow light arrow only shoot normal arrows and think you doesn't have light arrow at all :-/
So it's useless and if somebody doesn't belive me you should test it by yourself Angry

That Deku Tree Skulltula thing isn't really hard at all.  There's a trick I use to geti t 100% of the time.  All you do is, get the endless sword glitch activated, side-hop at the Skulltula with shield out, let go off shield then as soon as you do, hold either left or right on the analog stick.  While holding left or right (hold left if side-hopping left or right id side-hopping right) side-hop again.  As soon as you side-hop take out your shield.  Continue doing that for about 6 side-hops.

Mainly, the trick is that as long as you are holding left or right, you can't kill the Skulltula.

Make a topic called "BitTorrent Flamewar" and I'll discuss the issue with you, but don't start more pointless arguments in this topic. FYI, I just downloaded the avi from Filefront and it took only 50 minutes-pretty good for a file that's over 420 MB.

No offense, but this is old--I remember bringing it up a long time ago. The problem is that you can't use most items in the castle courtyard to get past those guards, so glitches that could be potentially abused, such as the bomb tricks, are left unusable. And if you can somehow get this to work, you'd end up saving quite some time because there are no longer any guards beyond the first two.

Sorry, but what do you mean? Weren't we already ignoring the other guards?

YES!

REDID SEGMENT 4!  DID THE DAMN SKULLTULA TRICK.

Btw, courtes of Acryte and I...the tirck is 100% timing.  Doesn't matter what you do (well, the "entry" angle is important), but all you have to do is "sidehop" and be in sync with the "hits".  What hits?  Hold out your shield after you make first contact...the "hits" from the Skulltula...they're in a set "beat".  Memorize it...and then you can do it.

While I didn't do it TAS style (like, every single beat I do sidehop), I am confident I got it done well enough, and I executed the stage very well.  Probably took a second too long aligning torch slash (I was psyched), but yeah...definitely saved some time on this...will upload later.

Now...onto redoing segment 6.
