omega: i believe e4m2 pent can be skipped without losing too much health, and we must skip it to save time and get a better shambler boost.
i guess a e4m1_018 exiting with more health is not too hard...
joe: e2m4 i just suggest using the old route, or the same as the from scratch route, except going to get some health. ingmar's route won't be much faster, and it doesn't get rl so i think we shall turn it down.
kay: e1m2 is no problem, they always start with minimal state.

OpenGL; e4m2 has to be exited with 86 health because of the numerous grenade boosts (and even a quadded one) in e4m3.

The SDA record is 30 because Martin skips the pent in it. That will never fit the project though, he exits with 81 health. Add to that the 23 points of damage taken in e4m1, and he exits e4m2 with roughly 58 health...

So e4m2 has to be redone to save some 30 health points and also one second. Seems tough. Would help with a new e4m1 then. But that seems damn hard as well. I have my doubts, but prove me wrong!

martin's e4m2_030 won't be used, that's sure. i suppose we can get 28 eventually.
i know health is a problem, but i believe we can take fewer damage. btw, e4m3 will also be improved sooner or later.

there was, but not with a successful sequel. since markus and peter and some other old guys have claimed their retirement we can't oblige them to do anything.
and what i heard is that markus is in some ways a mysterious guy...

Retirement? That makes it sound as if they're old men. :p Well, naturally, nobody can tell them to do anything, but it'd be really fun to see... it would also be cool if they'd only just spectate and give us feedback or whatever. :p

Just thought I'd share with the rest how I do the start on e2m2, it gains 1-2 seconds on horvath up to the gold key. It is possible to get a nice fiend boost after the button door/bridge, in which case you can gain up to 2 seconds on horvath at the goldkey.

I know of course that the goldkey jump is terribly hard. I only succeed about 1 in 10 jumps, so that's why I think we gotta have multiple people running this, to have a fair chance of improving it.

Yeah, that gold key jump is hideously difficult. But it's such a brilliant jump.
I know what it's like to have such a difficult part to get right, though, although that's just because I'm a lousy runner. I only get the fiend grenade jump in E1M5 right like 1 out of 20 times. Sad And since I have no armor, there's no telling whether I'll survive the rocket jump that follows, too.

Ah well, good luck with E2M2.

Yeah Connor, I guess you have to re-do e3m6 with the RL, you should be able to shave off another 2 seconds or so  :cheers:

Yeah, you're only gonna make it better from here, Connor. Smiley I loved E3M6 in QdQlite, I think Martin made that. Just BLAST away with that rocket launcher.

Also, good to have Peter back. Smiley Maybe he can help Kay with E2M2.
