The|navigator, can't you try some double or triple grenade jump off some fiend or so instead? You'd be able to fly all the way to the exit, theoretically
Speed running goddess Shub-Niggurath notes that 11:11 would be a very sexy time for QdQwavp2 although probably not doable
She also notes that e2m5 will have to be redone because the qdq demo can't be slower than the sda demo.
Or can it? I guess maybe it was in qdqwav but what do I know. Is there any reason why it should be slower other than lack of potent runners? What's the health and armor situation at start?
Just a minor note that the project has taken a name change to "Quake done Quickest" to keep in line with the projects that are currently in development, such as "Quake done 100% Quickest" and "Quake done Quickest lite".
Come on, people. It's a significant improvement of the most popular quake run and it doesn't deserve to be killed because of one less than perfect demo.
It IS done, it's just down to pure laziness and technical issues that it hasn't been released yet. The same goes for Qd100Qst, but you need to bug Dex about that one... :-)
If someone wants to help out with making videos, then here's your chance.
It's times like these that I wish I knew something about video editing... But anyway, I hope everything gets done soon. I'm sure lots of people will be looking forward to a run like this.
It's nice to see that suggestion to publish the run was met with such amazing enthusiasm.. >_> So here's quick and dirty vid of the run with some basic editing applied (no grenade counter). Episode selection levels were taken from qdqwav. Quality sucks a bit, and there are some glitches here and there (camera angles during intermissions are really weird, and e2m5 health inconsistency is still there), but I guess this will do until qdq team releases the run. At least it's better than nothing.
