Costs aren't all that high, depending on what kind of work you want to do. Anything CNC is pricey, but you can set up shop with a manual mill and lathe, welder, plasma, torches, etc for $20k. I'm not saying that's cheap, but if you're making money with it, the gear pays for itself pretty fast.
Is there any interest in a Zelda shield? I had originally planned to make one to go with the sword, but that didn't happen because I ran out of time. I don't know if anyone would want just the shield.

Not a walrus
I would like one of these emblems made for me (and maybe an extra one as a prize if you feel like it, but BM has two prizes already), if possible. How much would it cost?

Attachment:
How big is it, and do you have a higher resolution image?
Not a walrus
I would imagine 2-3" inches top to bottom would work, and the only higher resolution you could get is by zooming in on that one.
I might be able to do it for $50, but there are a number of details to settle. You can call me if you like. My number's in Rane's thread.
Fucking Weeaboo
I have an idea for an item.  Since I want to do Kirby's Return to Dream Land for a future marathon (AGDQ 2013 maybe?), I was thinking about having his Ultra Sword made up for a prize.  Cute little cream puff with a giant kick ass sword?  HELL YEAH!

I have larger pictures in the 7z file, but I also put on a smaller picture to put on the forum.

I'd be interested honestly Smiley I'm just broke at the moment. Sad

Ocarina of Time had the most viewers during the marathon, so a Hylian Shield would be a sought after item, I know I would want one.

If you can do metal and leather work, perhaps the golden gauntlets?

The Triforce, or a single piece from it even.

Metal Mario, since Mario is also quite popular.

A Starman from Earthbound would be cool.

Dagger of time from Prince of Persia.

That's all I can think of right now, some of them might not be great ideas, but I would donate for them at least.

Edit:  Friend of mine suggested Broken Giant's Knife.  I would totally want that.

I think the ancient sword from Shadow of the Colossus would be cool, but that could just be me jerking off to a game I run.

If Wind Waker is played next year, then the baton would be cool.

You're making me drool *_____* Hylian Shield, Triforce piece, golden Gauntlets, I WANT THEM! And I'm pretty sure they have the same fundraising potential as the Master Sword had xD
My feelings on The Demon Rush
WHOA, let's not try to kill Tom Folino here. We want him to still like us and make sure he is alive. D:

Naegleria, I actually requested a dagger of time from Tom, but he said there's a lot of intricate engraving on the dagger, which would make it difficult to produce. However, now that Kari Fry talked to Tom about drawing the designs for engravings, maybe we can engrave the design of the dagger on a metal plate.
I'm not requesting all those items, that would be insane, just throwing out whatever suggestions I can think of.

Haters gonna hate
Actually, with talk of the Kari Fry/Tom Folino crossover possibility (he had mentioned it to me at the marathon) one thing that would be relatively simple, but cool as hell would simply be framed artwork, with crazy metal frames that are basically still part of the picture itself.  Don't think they'd have quite the same drawing power as the sword, but I'm sure people would see it and want it.  Plus it could be applied pretty easily to any game/block.

Not sure of logistics with this, just an idea.
I heart SDA
Last Tom and I talked, I was going to work up something for a plaque of some sort.  And I'm down with doing something OoT-related, since that was the biggest draw at the last marathon.  We had talked at one point about vectorizing the Chrono Trigger cover for a piece, which I'm sure I could do with some direction from Tom on particulars like line weight and whatnot.
Sir VG: I'm having serious software trouble at present, so I can't open that 7z file. Can you post another pic here, or email it to me?

Naegleria: the golden gauntlets look like a cinch to make. Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't want to ruin the surprise, but the Triforce is already in the works. Expect pics some time in the next for months. Metal Mario may happen some day, but I'll have to find the best way to go about it. Same with the Starman. Same with Dagger of time.

Breakdown: good idea about integral metal frames. Believe it or not, that's easy to do while I have access to a CNC mill.

Kari: still waiting on you ;-) Send me what you've got and I'll put it on metal.

I appreciate all the suggestions. And don't hesitate to suggest anything. If nothing else, I'll just put it on the list for future years.
I want off the ride....
Well i mean, it seems kinda silly being well that you mentioned CT; but why haven't you thought of just trying to do a RAINBOW SWORD? I mean.. i can tell by the finish on the Master sword you did, it'd be possible to get a finish that has a strong rainbow-esque reflection. Then just make it katana style (as i believe thats Chrono's prefered style) and just engrave a M E L C H I O R on it? (with tom folino of course). but that'd be up to if we wanna do another sword again..
Swords are remarkably difficult to make. Rainbow coloring is remarkably easy to do. Go figure. I'd like to make more swords because practically every game has one, but I'll need to find any easier way to do it.
Metal Slime would be EPIC. So long as someone ran a DQ game at the next marathon. too bad they are so long. Maybe someone could do the SFC DQ1 remake or the gameboy releases
A star from Super Mario 64?  Dunno if that would be hard or not.
Balls jerky
Metal Sonic! I would kill for a metal sonic.
Gunblade from FF8 would be the shizzle.

How about for Earthbound, you make a Franklin Badge?
How much demand is there for a metal slime? It wouldn't be hard to do. Is it just what it looks like, a metal drop thing with a face? I've never played a DQ game.

I will make some kind of metal star for Mario, though I don't know just what I'll do with it, whether it will have some kind of inscription, etc. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Metal sonic is in the same category as metal mario and starman from EB: possible, but not in the immediate future.

The gunblade is in the works right now. I hope to have it done in a few months. I will probably make a few copies and offer them for sale.

Dunno about the franklin badge. I did an image search, but I didn't find anything particularly inspiring. I'll have to find out how popular the EB run was this year and whether it will be repeated in the future.
I heart SDA
FYI: Fangamer minted a Franklin badge, which is small but looks great.

DQ seems like a bit long to run (but what do I know), but a metal slime would be incredible.

Metal vectors are waiting on the backburner for now while I get a few more designs out.
