I wouldn't get any system right when it comes out. They're overpriced, wait for a year or two until they drop it down a hundred bucks. And for every system, the best games don't come out until a few years into it's life.

Tell your brother the trick to that mission is starting a power slide at JUST the right instant. You should be able to drift through all the rings with no adjustments if you do it right... it will take a lot of practice to get the timing down though. I just finished getting triple stars on all the missions a couple days ago, so if anyone wants tips on a specific one, let me know. Now I have to finish the GP's. I still haven't even finished all the 150cc ones because the missions and online mode have been so addicting.

I'm adding everyone new to my friend's list... make sure you add my code too if you want to race.

Spent the weekend getting all 3 stars in the mission modes and the Grand Prix mode.

Rainbow Road sucks for getting the 3 stars on 150 and 150 mirror. as I usually get bumped off by a heavy weight or I get blue shell/red shell combo (always that pair) and fall off. Just beware.

In theory I should have 3 stars next to my name online now however I have not been able to see it myself. Perhaps someone here can confirm it for me one day.

I've heard lots of different theories about what gives you the stars. One of the FAQs says it's based on your GP ranks (if you have at least one star in all GP's, you get one star, etc.), but other people think it involves unlocking/beating staff ghosts. It should have been one star for 3-star ranking all the missions, one star for 3-star ranking all GP's, and one star for unlocking all the staff ghosts. Mainly because I really don't like how getting triple stars on all the missions does NOTHING Sad

I'll let you know if you have it when I race you again, trinexx. So far I've only seen one person with three stars online.

I only got this game couple hours ago but feel free to add me. I wish they'd removed the blue shell or atleast removed it from the multiplayer. It was already so annoying in mkdd. The red shell is annoying aswell, you can shoot it from mile away and it still hits, it should be like it was in the original :). And they took the crappiest tracks from SNES and GCN :(.

Yeah, I wish they had used DK Mountain from GCN and Koopa Beach 1 or one of the Ghost Houses from SNES. But when there's 32 tracks, you really can't complain.

As far as the blue shells are concerned, I don't mind them as an item, I just think they're way too frequent. It should be the rarest item in the game. Rare as in one per race, at most. When I get hit by four in one race, that's just absurd.

the german forums for help are down so i ask you, how can i find my netgear router?

i am standing right next to the router but i still cant find it with the ds! the help-site didnt help ...

The USB dongle won't make a difference unless the problem is in the connection between your router and the DS. And if it is, there may be easier ways to fix it (tweaking router settings, moving router to a better location...).

i stood right next to the router to test it.

I have a Wireless + wire router (3 pcs connected via cable, notebook over w-lan)

i tried to turn of the notebook (so the w-lan is free) but the ds didnt find the router.

is there a special channel i have to use? i tried 11, 1 and 2 now... and will check the others now.

my notebook can find the router without being that near, its about 20 metres away and has 54mbit... but the ds cant find it when i am >1m at the router. (i put the ds ON the router once, still nothing...)

Maybe i am going to get the usb thing next week... damn i bought this game to play online!

List of supported routers

You can filter out all but the Netgear ones...mine only has a one star rating. The model number is probably on the bottom or something of the router.

the sunshine with puppy dogs and flowers thing: i just ordered a wi-fi usb thing, when my router worked... now i have a brand new wifi-usb connector and dont need it... maybe i will sell it on ebay
