Mario Kart DS - I have no friends

Erm - well, no friends that play MKDS, that is. And searching for random opponents takes too long. Are there any speedrun enthusiasts out there looking for a match? Just list your 'friend code' and whatever name you use so I know who it is by association, like so:

The game itself is fan-friggin-tastic. There is soo much to do single player and the classic tracks. It really is my favorite mario kart yet.

Damn, this blows, choices, choices, my dad is sending me $150 for X-mas, and I'm torn between worlds. Should I get a DS with Nintendogs, then get MarioKart DS and Sonic Rush, or put it towards a X360..

I feel so left out of the Mariokart goodness. Sad

MGS for PS1 forever.

I would say to wait for a ps3 instead of x360. It might just be because I've played through Doom 3...but of the graphics I've seen so far on the x360 don't impress. It's like ps2.5.

If anyone is wondering...I played Kameo as a demo at Wal-Mart.

Because we all know that graphics are the most important factor when buying a new console! And that one can accurately judge the graphical capabilities of a console by playing a demo kiosk for a few minutes, and make a valid comparison with a console that does not exist yet!

I have it...I had to restart, but I'm 22-5 now. 2 losses came from disconnects (not intentional).

but my comp is 3 or 4 year old with absolutly no upgrade ( expect a harddrive )

and still run hl2, cs:s, AoE3, Myst 5... ( all Near max out )

It doesn't record anything, win or lose, if one guy drops in a two player race, keeping him from recording a loss and you from getting a win. Which sucks. But you should still buy it.

I want to get online, I NEED....a ~~computer~~ friend code.

Arrow, I have to say those were some pretty good races however I also know I only won because of extremley lucky item placements =P. Yay blue and red shells at the finish line.

Thats only twice now that I've played with "friends" online and I have to say being able to talk back to them about things that happened makes it somewhat more exciting. I do wish there was a way to briefly chat now.

However i Have noticed one thing...sicne ive been playing this I find myself swearing a lot more than I normally do....

But yes, they were very good races... I look forward to a rematch. Also, apparently Nintendo may be working on a voice chat patch for MKDS in the future. It was being discussed on the nintendowifi.com forums.

I wouldn't get any system right when it comes out. They're overpriced, wait for a year or two until they drop it down a hundred bucks. And for every system, the best games don't come out until a few years into it's life.
