Final Fantasy VII Fanatic
Hello everyone

Name's Neohart and I've been watching speed runner for quite some time, after watching AGDQ I was inspired to start speed running, Game that I'm looking to run are Final Fantasy games, I have been working a lot on Final Fantasy VII on my twitch page. I play on running games almost daily. I'm not new to straming, been streaming for about half a year playing games casually but now I want to step into speed running! You can find me here: www.twitch.tv/neohart

Nice to meet everyone and hope to chat with more of you all soon!
Hello!

They call me Win. Cheesy I've been streaming casually for a while now, but I just got into learning how to speedrun Mario Kart 64! (I love this game). I've been watching speedrunning on stream for years and I've always wanted to jump into the community. I'm excited to finally be getting to be a part of it! I stream over on twitch @ twitch.tv/winwolfz2. Wednesdays (Winsdays) are my casual game days, and any other days I'm usually going to be practicing Mario Kart! Feel free to challenge me to a race or two. Smiley

Hello SDA! I'm Garryl, a long-time lurker. I was introduced to speed runs when I brushed off my copy of Stracraft and got stuck on Zerg BW 9. A quick Google search for strategies brought up that lovely 6:30 run. Even though it took me almost twice as long to do the level as aresake's blazing fast run, it turned a frustrating challenge into a walk in the park.
Now Reap The Whirlwind!
HI everyone. My name is Joshua Grant. I'll be going by Stormknight. I'm a college student in the US, living in New Hampshire. I have been watching SDA for a long time now and the AGDQ marathon finally inspired me to get involved. I want to try to get a few runs published once I get the DVD recorder, but until then I'll just practice and watch the forums. Been working on Prototype for the Xbox 360 for a while. I'm hoping to get some information, meet some awesome people, and have fun!

Hello all, long time lurker here (all the way back since the Quake days) and have always been inspired by the great runs on this site. After AGDQ and seeing all the people (and runs) this wonderful community had to offer I decided that I should finally join more than 10 years after initially perusing the site.

I hope to be a productive member of the community. At the moment I'm working on putting a Return To Castle Wolfenstein run together, after that I will be taking a look at RAGE and Dark Souls. I will be recording my progress on my Twitch stream www.twitch.tv/bwoodsn2o
Hello. I have been enjoying the runs on SDA for years, but only just learned of AGDQ this year. Anxiously awaiting my shirt!

I've only ever done a handful of unspeedy challenge runs, but you guys have inspired me to give speedrunning a try. Ever since I was a kid I have enjoyed trying to break my favorite games. I don't know if I can compete with the incredible, dedicated gamers on this site, but it will be fun to try :>
Hi,

i've been lurking SDA since 2010 but have been watching doom speedruns for a few years before that. Runs by Drew "stx-vile" Devore was what initially got myself interested in speedrunning and SDA. I am a high level sc2 player from Canada but a complete noob at speedrunning. I look forward to the challenge of speedrunning starcraft 2, doom 3 and dark forces etc. You guys have given me so much entertainment over the years, that I couldn't resist starting some speedrunning finally!
My tea's gone cold...
Hi, my real name's Matthew McLaughlin. I'm from England and discovered this forum through this years AGDQ marathon, which ruled my entire week.

I have recently run into speed running and will be working on either a Crackdown or LOTR: The Third Age Run. After seeing the impressive runs at AGDQ I have considered trying my hand at speedrunning.

Hi! I'm setz. There is apparently another setz here, so I am using this name. I've lurked (mostly IRC) for a long time, and been a part of SRL for a decent chunk of time.

I do Castlevania: Rondo of Blood runs, and have been informed by too many people that I should submit one to SDA, so here I am. Hopefully I can reach my goal time and have decent enough audio/video quality to submit one.
Get run'd!!
Hi everyone!

My name is Benjamin, i'm a French student and i discovered speedruns only a year ago.
I was really impressed by your AGDQ marathon and it gave me the motivation to start speedrunning.
I'd like to speedrun Borderlands 2 using Zero and I will take any informtion which can help me achieve this.
Hi everyone,
my name is Christian, I'm 30 years old and from germany.
I watched you guys at the AGDQ and was fascinated. So I'll try myself on some casual speedruns and maybe submit a WR speedrun in the near future Wink
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
I'd like to say on behalf of all SDA members "welcome to the forums" generally if you have a game in mind your wanting to run 95% of the time there's already a topic for it so the search function is your friend (^_^)

More specifically:

I'd love to see a run of LOTR:T3A spent hours playing that game when it was released so I for one would have interest in this.

Currently there's a lot of activity surrounding both borderlands and Borderlands 2 so good timing  (Might take you some time to read through everything)

Hey everybody!  My name's Chris, and I'm a college student in Chicago.  I've been watching speedruns for a little over a year now, and I figured it's time for me to make an account, and start speedrunning myself.  The first game I plan to speedrun is Link's Awakening DX.
Also, if I have a question about how to get a glitch or a trick to work, where would be the most appropriate place to post?

Thanks,
Chris

Primitive Screwhead
Been coming to SDA for my speed running fixes for years and years now, but AGDQ has made me want to be more involved in such an awesome community.
nope
Hey ho, Mattias, 19 years old, from Stockholm, Sweden here! Been watching speed runs for a long time and seeing the marathons and charities have really inspired me to speed run myself.

Currently working at a swedish school in Thailand as a music teacher and help teacher in swedish and math. Right now speed running New SMB for DS because it's the only game I can really play right now hehe. Won't be running it for long since I will leave here in about 2 and a half weeks. Will start streaming and probably speed run Super Mario Sunshine as soon as I get home, since it's in my top 5 favourite games of all time.

That's it for me, have a nice day!
howdy

been lurking in the speedrun community for a while, and now i want to give it a try. currently have some good times on ys origin and thinking about expanding to a more popular and well-documented game(s) for racing or something. or maybe just more ys.

either way, looking forward to actually getting involved in this
Hi! Long time lurker here, but finally made an actual account here. Been into speedrunning for ever since I've started playing video games, since many old games had timers in the end of that game. So often I tried to beat that time over and over again.
I've seen this growth of speedrunning lately so I decide that 2013 I'm serious about my games!
Currently routing MGS 1,2 and 3 and few Zeldas and few Pokemons, which after my routing I'm going to start running them.
Hey everybody! Been watching streams since JRDQ (where I won the grand prize, woo!), decided to sign up for an account and see if there's anything I can do to help out the community. I don't think I'm good enough at video games to actually run anything, but I am a pretty avid retro collector who picks up plenty of stuff during yard sale season in the summer, so perhaps I can be a good game/hardware source or something. If it's cool to plug, I'm also part of the game collecting site RF Generation and I make their Android app, handy for all of us who have too many games to remember what we actually own.
Hey, I'm Pyxter! A speedrunner who just picked up Conker's Bad Fur Day and looking forward to join / submit / play along with you guys and poat alot on the forums about my progress! Smiley
I only played thro the game Twice and my best time is now 2h 50min (hehe :3) and If you guys like to follow my journey, follow me! Smiley
Hook me up at my twitch page, "Pyxter93" :p
howdy guys! decided that it was about time I actually joined this place after all the enjoyment I got out of watching all of the speedruns (OoT o_o). I'm Kevin in real life, but y'know, whatever goes. Tongue
Currently trying to learn routes for Pokemon Yellow (spent hours trying to beat Brock with Pikachu as a kid, actually succeeded once funnily enough) and Sapphire so I can get some good-ol'-fashioned-revenge on those games! Also, Luigi's Mansion (if anyone remembers that game) is something that I'm trying to work on, shame it's not more interesting speedrun-wise but it's a lot of fun! Cheesy

Anyway, great to finally be part of this community!
