Heyas Guys, im Ceo (its "see-oh" btw and not c.e.o hehe)  and i have always want to speedrun but never thought i was good enough, until now that my friend told me to try, i mean i still suck but hey, im doing baby steps xD, the games i want to run are Castlevania (nes & snes) + Megaman (2 & X), im still really bad at them, but i hope to get better in the future, i hope to have a great time here with all of you guys,  i also love to stream in jtv, and meeting new people, so yeah.. =D i think thats all for now, hope to meet all of you and have a great time
Hoy; it seems I finally motivated myself to register an account here. (That recently-concluded marathon might have something to do with it.)

I'm sgrunt, and some of you might recognise me from a certain other speedrunning community. I think I've been aware of SDA since the days that it was primarily Quake-focused, and though it's dropped out of my general attention span quite a few times since then, I still enjoy watching a good speedrun from here now and again.

I may not hang out here too much in the future, but I'll at least take this opportunity to say hi. Smiley
Hmm, So i've lurked here for years. I pretty much watched the entire marathon that I could get away with while not at work.

I've never really thought I was good enough at a game to give it a speed run, but have always enjoyed watching games I've played being completely destroyed by other people on here.

i'm happy I got to watch this and donate a part of my income to the prevent cancer foundation, and maybe i'll be a little more active now. I don't really have too many forums that I'm a part of anymore. So hi!
Waiting hurts my soul...

No one is automatically great at a game, it takes a lot of practice. Good luck.
Hi guys, I'm Andy. Some may have seen me on Tasvideos. I'm following the speedrun and TAS communities for years, but haven't really made any serious attempts at running a game yet, besides for some casual runs on emulators. I also do some TASing from time to time and write news about speedruns on my (german) blog Nerdy By Nerds. Yes, I'm that much of a nerd that I actually woke up at 4 AM just to watch Cosmos MST on the Marathon.

My best game is probably Bettle Adventure Racing for the N64. I've gotten some really great times and only found like 2 or 3 better records on the internet. I haven't seen videos of them though. I really should look for a recording device...

Anymway, I hope we have a good time!
Hello all, well where should I begin.I go by Residentx online, my family and friends call me by fuzz I'm 23yrs old I Just registered on january 10 2012, but the funny part is that I've been visiting SDA ever since 2005 when I was first introduced to it by one of my classmates when he saw me playin OoT on the classroom computer and was tryin to beat it as fast as I could, that's when he told me that lots people do that kind of stuff and gave me the SDA and TAS web sites and said I should visit them.ever since then I've always waited to be apart of the SDA family but never had the nerve or guts to register, but after what I seen yesterday on the marathon of true gamers that care for nothin more then the feeling of accomplishment from a game and to be able to express that feeling with others that have the same passion as you,and to hear how one of the SDA members was a non-social person like myself and that is why I took the first step in overcoming this issue I have by signing up and joining the team and maybe one day I'll be there with you all in a future marathon.
I do not have my own run yet, I play every and anything whenever I have the time but I prefer OoT. I'm also a hobbyist myself just like Andrewg ,I like to get good at anything that I find entertaining or intriguing to me.

Hi, my real name is Sven, I'm german, 18 years old and I visit this site for years now.
I always liked playing games with speed for fun and in the last few months I got even more interrest in this kind of stuff.
I'm speedrunning Demon's Crest, Skyblazer and recently VVVVVV
At this time I have problems with getting a decent quality, I really hope I can manage this someday in the near future :/
Hey all! I just figured I would add to your current influx of new users. I first found out about this place by watching an old OoT run on youtube and have since wasted many hours at work watching others from the archive. I have been lurking the main site for a few years, but this is my first time actually visiting the forums. I have never done a speed run of a game, and I doubt I am patient enough to, but I love watching them and learning about all of the different tricks/bugs.
Hello, my name is Chris and i'm a first timer to the forums.  I got started watching speed runs this year when Siglemic got some twitter posts out there for his taking back the 120star run in SM64.  I was watching an LoL higher elo player, yangfushang, when he hopped onto the site and was mentioning speed runs he didn't want to miss and i just hopped into the stream and got hooked.  I may not do any speed running of my own but i will definitely watch and support those that do.
Reverse Death Valley Bomb
Hey, my name is Dylan Rothwell. I'm an IT student in the UK.
I found this site through the sda marathon and I feel like I can relate to this little community a lot more than the fgc, so here's to giving this a try!
I hate being late to the party but whatever, I can't wait to plug in my ps2 and start the gig with Crash Twinsanity.
Sup y'all! I've known about this site for years and just now decided to join. I'm currently trying to do a speed run for Diddy Kong Racing. (AKA the best racing game on the N64) I'm nowhere as good as any of the speed runners I've seen though, haha. Smiley
Hello all! I am Joseph Woods, most call me Joe. I have been watching SDA runs since late 2007 but never got around to joining the forum. I loved the Marathons and everything you guys do and I hope to be a bigger part of next years AGDQ. Looking forward to SGDQ as well. As far as games go I love it all. I am obsessed with FF an Resident Evil in particular. About me? I am 20 years old studying Criminal Justice currently and run my own in home computer repair business.
Ohai!

My name is Emily, aka Ummy, aka Ummeiko.  People from earlier days of Metroid2002 forums may remember me - I hung around there a lot during the days of Prime 1 and Prime 2, though Super Metroid has always been my favorite game.  I can claim to be the one who found the elusive GM8E-0-01 version of Prime 1.  I disappeared sometime in 2006 or so.

I'm actually not as much of a speed runner as a "screw around and find random things I can jump on" type player.

Like I'm sure a lot of people, I watched the marathon this past weekend (at least, when I wasn't at work - I missed all the Metroid, which makes me sad).  I'm planning to get back into the community some, and hopefully provide some giveaways of sorts for the next marathon.  I was kinda surprised I didn't already have an account over here, but I'm here now.  Cheesy
Hi, I'm Matt also know as Xelotath. I'm a french canadian from Quebec City. I was always a big gamer since I was a young child, I remember playing SMB2 with my mom when I was about 3 years old and calling my cousin (who lent us his NES) for tips how to beat the game. I've been a competitive gamer for quite some time now, starting with games like CS and I'm now a fighting game player. I'm not a top player or anything but I'm still a good SF4 player in my community. I started speedrunning by doing races against friends in SMW and DKC1-2. I also watched all the SDA marathons since I found out about them. I watched probably 60% of AGDQ 2012 between live and the archive. I would love to go to one of those and hopefully I'll be able to. I'm currently working on a run for a pretty bad game so I worry I won't have verifiers for it but I'll do it anyway. I not good enough now to run the games I really like since a lot a people play them too, I'll see in the future. cya all!
Waiting hurts my soul...
You'll at least have PJ and UltraJman for bad games. Cheesy
ummeiko, great to see you again. welcome to sda!
Hey I'm Tony. I'm mainly just an avid fan of speedruns. I found out about all this from one of the marathons on twitch.tv. I grew up playing games on nes, snes and above, so there's a lot of nostalgia for me to see the games again, as well as a respect for the execution of how these awesome gamers blaze through the games. I'm a musician and wouldn't mind someday making a soundtrack for a video game. That's all for now, cheers!
I'm James, although I tend to go by Cascade or J Assassin online. Been a big fan of SDA and speedruns in general for years, but the latest Awesome Games Done Quick marathon really got me inspired to start running something that hasn't been done yet, since I don't think I could ever match some of the runners performances on games they've been speedrunning for years. Probably Timesplitters 2 Normal/Hard mode and Mischief Makers when I manage to find a cart.
Hello, I'm Miserablegerm and my real name is Anthony. I've known about SDA for years, but never became invested in it that much. After seeing the AGDQ this year I've made the plunge to join up for good.

I'm mainly into RPG's but I can branch out if I'm up to it.

I could probably try to race something like Jumping Flash or stuff like that if I could.

I'm down for racing Jumping Flash, and MechaRichter has been planning (maybe?) a Jumping Flash 2 run.
Haters gonna hate
I'm planning on doing a run for it, but I'm not sure when I'll actually get to it.
Hy Im CBenni, a portal 1 and 2 lover and dedicated gamer and programmer in general; I plan on doing mostly speedruns/glitchruns for portal 1 (mainly challenge runs and advanced chambers; the main part is completely done by Demonstrate, nothing to improve there)
On top of that, im alwys on the lookout for new games that havent been speedran yet (one of them being goosegogs Smiley
cu, Benni
Uh...hello, I'm DoomsdayBear. I've joined because I love watching speedruns, or generally any runs of games.

Sadly  I'm no good at any game I touch and generally play very casually and cautiously.
Forever Un-Pro
Hey all!

I'm pretty new to the world of speedruns, but watched the latest marathon and now i'm addicted!!

I might eventually speedrun something, but for the most part, i'm only a semi-serious gamer.

And i'm kinda un-pro at most games Cheesy
Hello everyone!  Seeing as how I've been watching streams every day for a while now I figure why not make an account on the forums.  As for games I play just about anything but I've yet to find "the" game I can get into and do a run of.  Firestriker for the SNES came close but it's really hard to be consistent at.  Someday I'll have a run of something though but until then I'll resume living on the glorious w00ty page.
