Hello my name is zack wisner otherwise known as cloudzack117. I just started college at LSU and over the last half year I have really gotten into the speedrunning comunity. I originally found the site about 3 years ago while attempting the infamous OoT uberchallenge and found manocheeses old run which is still my favorite speedrun of all time. After a 2 year break i have started to get into the zelda speedrunning community and through that i have started to spend more time here. Unfortunatley i did not discover the existence of AGDQ until this past november and watched the every run and i have to say that was one of the best things i have ever watched. Currently i just casually speedrun OoT but recently have started to seriously speedrun OOT3D but due to the fact no one else is really into it i dont know if i'll stick with it. Also props to the guys who started up all those charity marathons, those are the greatest ideas in the world.
Hello my name is Jonas and I have been visiting this site on and off for 5 years after discovering YautjaElder's Zelda OoT 100% run in 2007. Since AGDQ 2011 I have been watching streams almost every day, so I decided to join you for real. I want to start speedrunning, and thought joining the community might be a first step, the second is to buy a dazzle or something like it.
I am Joseph. You are SDA community. Been hangin around since 2006, but haven't posted hardly at all, more of a lurker you see..mostly just enjoy watching speed runs instead of attempting any myself. Never played a game through as fast as I could before, I try to enjoy every inch and second of the game as I can. That will change soon when I receive an easycap device in the mail, I would like to do FF12 IZJS (English patched, ofc) for my first published game! Anyways, I'm sorry it took so long to introduce myself, lol! I'm a slacker!!!
So with the AGDQ marathon fast approaching, and only 5 days away, I figured I would finally post my introduction seeing as how I made this account after last years marathon, and remade it a few times due to it being pruned for not having any posts.
Hello SDA community, my name is Zak, I go mostly by SevasTra on the web. I have been watching speed runs on SDA off and on for around 5 years. I myself have never thought of ever speed running, more of a completionist myself, but I have recently given thought into a possible CoD 2 run if anyone would be interested/if it would be entertaining enough. I have been around some streams, I was in chat for around 60% of AGDQ last year, but due to my accursed shyness I tend not to chat much or post much on forums, maybe you guys could pull me out of it!
I look forward to AGDQ '12 and I hope to see you all there, and hopefully actually participate in the chat this year!
I am Gustavo. I am from Chile, so don't try to destroy me for my lame english. I discovered this website in 2010. I always thinked how dedication and satisfaction should take to do a SpeedRun, especially a one accepted in this web. So I thinked "I can be like those people". I would like to do a SpeedRun of Mega Man series and Call of Duty Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 in Wii. I hope God give me the will of do this.
So I told myself around the time of SGDQ "Yanno Bluecube, you really should register on SDA before the next marathon and start getting involved, these are some awesome people!" And then I put it off for... a bit. Still, this is technically before the next marathon, I've got one minute to spare!
So hello everybody! Name's Jeremy, but you can call me Bluecube. Not much of a speedrunner myself, but fascinated by them all the same and always wanted to get closer to the community.

Welcome then! Nice to see another fellow countryman around this parts.
Hello SDA! Finally I decided to join the board. I'm LadyNana, or just Nana, 20 years old and live in Munich, Germany. My favorite games to speedrun are: Perfect Dark (N64), Serious Sam 1st Encounter (XBox360) and Pokemon Crystal. Doing some more runs for fun and without watching the time too much. Looking forward to join the community now, because until now I was in a "hiding-mode". After the AGDQ-Marathon, which I'm currently watching, I'll stream for the first time, the link to my channel would be on my profile, since I don't know if I can post it in here.
I've actually had my account for a time now, just haven't been as active as I'd hoped for. I plan on changing this! Name's Chokehold, or Choke for short (friends call me Choke, so all of you can feel free to call me that as well). Originated and situated in Sweden. Favorite games (some to speedrun, others not) include Okami (planning NG+ run since a while back), Curse of Monkey Island (no run or route actually planned) and the entire Final Fantasy series. I found SDA by chance lots of years ago but didn't sign up until fairly recently, and figured I really want to contribute. Everyone I've seen here, especially during the AGDQ and SGDQ marathons, seem to be just awesome and great people, and I want to give something back to the community in return for this.
Hey guys! I am Venuum or Marcus. I have been watching the Marathon stream for a while now and i really like what you do and why you are doing it so i think, why should i not try to do something similar? so now i want to try speedrunning games wich will be an awesome experience but a hard trip to master it. And that is why i joined this community to recieve tips and help.
Gabriel here, I've been lurking around many different SDA and SRL members streams (namely Uyama's stream for some friendly Sub-Terrania Drinking Games). Finally come to the conclusion that I should finally join the forums here!
I'll probably still be lurking around the forums but may well join in the Super Metroid chat soon enough.
My longterm goal is to get into racing Super Metroid once I get good enough.
I'm Stungun, I've been in a few streams here and there, mostly romscouts. I've raced a few other members of SDA on SRL. I usually race X4-X6, but i'd like to get into racing Kirby's Dreamland, Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage, Mega Man 8 and maybe Crash Bandicoot 3 and Devil May Cry 4.
Anyhoo, i love the speedrunning community and like to get to know others in the community and learn new tricks to games i love.
Hey guys! I'm EXOtic and my real name is Jule. I found SDA when a site I'm a member of showed AGDQ last year and was hooked. I've been working my butt off on an Okami speedrun; it's not going well. I don't have a camera to post it. I'm at college to become a history teacher and am planning to study abroad in South Korea. Because of everything, I felt extremely stressed but watching the speedruns from AGDQ, SGDQ, and throughout the year has really helped. If you guys need a person to run the computers/donations for SGDQ 2012 or AGDQ 2013, I would be willing to go back to the East Coast and help out. It's nice to see people play video games for a good cause. Happy running!
